  1. Really? Atheists lack a belief in god where self rightous christians think they know-it-all about their god. You don't see the difference? a self-righteous christian relys on self to make it through, an athiest relys on self to make it through a true christian relys soley on God.
  2. There really isn't much difference from an athiest and a self righteous supposed christian. They rely on self Lets rely on Christ!
  3. Many christians seem to think that because they believe in their religion (christianity), they are somehow better than everyone else. They could "care less" about others' morals. There are several posts claiming that "atheists are controlled by satan", "atheists are deluded", "atheists will meet their maker whether they believe it or not", "atheists are created by god whether they believe it or not," "atheistic views are the reason for the problems in our society." These types of statements are arrogant and judgemental. And while yes, this is a christian forum, making these types of statements are some of the very reasons why atheists' replies come across as angry. Why is it that christians can judge atheists? I thought your very religion teaches you, "judge not, lest ye be judged." It's not atheists who are scary. BTW, not all posts in this thread are arrogant and judgemental. I've enjoyed reading the back and forth conversations between those who are open-minded and truly wanting to learn about others. The person was saying they rely completely and soley on God alone, not themselves. Morals will not save us, only Christ. It's not about religion, it's a relationship with Christ. blessings candi770
  4. I thought about a sitation, when I had hired a man to help us, he did well for some time and drugs took over, we had to let him go. His father is a christian and prior to that, he came in to visit and we would talk about the lord and our shared prayers for his son. He came by once to tell me, that he knew that I had to let his son go and that he cared so deeply for us, he knew that we had "our boss to contend with". When I was in the heat of battle with the enemy(something spiritual going on)-He came by to give me the word of God, he said, "those who fight against you fight against the Lord" (something to that effect), it was exactly what the Lord was telling me and I was standing in faith, I knew it was the Lord and I was so blessed and felt so loved-by this man and also God!!
  5. Don't you know that God can bless you through him. Believe me, bitterness drys the bones, the Lord showed me that in a big way, He introduced me to an elderly woman who was still dwelling on her youth, on what her husband did to her, I wasn't letting it go in the same manner, she told me, you know when I went to the doctors that they couldn't see all my bones, some were darkened, that scripture came to mind and on the way home-I heard in my spirit "do you want that for your life", I said, No", I started to pray for her often-in person, and sometimes on my own, I think God did some work on her prior to going to heaven. God will bless him with a good job for your sake-He will and can do that. Keep praying for him and don't get bitter! Pray Ephesians 3: 14-21 & 1: 16-23 over him: Put His name in there where it says "you" Ephesians 3:14-21 (King James Version) 14For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; 17That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, 18May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; 19And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. 20Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, 21Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. Ephesians 1:16-23 (King James Version) 16Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; 17That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: 18The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, 19And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, 20Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, 21Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: 22And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, 23Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all. Ask God to take away your husbands desire for that drug, that he wouldn't like it anymore, ask the Holy SPirit to speak to him about it, ask God to send Laborers in your husbands path, well seasoned laborers prepared to plant seed, ask that those laborers be all around him. Pray protection over him of course and watch what the Lord does. I love when we see what God does when we pray for our spouses!! GET 'UM GOD!! I remember when my husband and I had an arguement, he was wrong and would not listen to me, He left the house, I prayed and when he returned latter-he told me that God said to apologize-he brought me flowers (that doesn't happen often-it had to be God(flower part).LOL God is still in control. Remember not to look on the situation-but that the end result-Jesus-Walk by faith and not by sight. God can still bless you through a disobedient husband-Just make sure to do what the Lord Says concerning your relationship with your husband. blessings candi

  7. this is why I believe it says "Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh" (Genesis 2:24). Mamma's not ready to cut the apron strings and she sees you as better than her or she is plane jealous. My brother did the proper leave/cleave with his wife and they are so blessed, He still makes time for us, but she comes 1st. I tend to be close to my mother as just like my sis-in-law. What works for me when I know I'm going to be around these types, spend some time with the Lord prior and pray over the situation. Pray that you will have favor with her and that He (Jesus) would help her understand you more. Give it time, God will correct her if she listens to Him. Pray for your husband, He needs it. Just take her as she is, forgive her and walk in Love.
  8. Let's pray he doesn't, They exalt their "twisted ungodly religion" but not God.
  9. Where ever my nasty flesh would have led me. Suicide most likely. But He did intervene- , He reached down to me in my despair and gave me hope, He quieted me in my sorrows, in my weakness-He let me rest in His strength. The Shepherd loves His sheep! He is so good-His mercy endures forever! He taught me to praise Him(for who He is), that garment of praise-lifted that spirit of heaviness. He gave me a weapontry to stand up to the enemy in His own name! Praise God!!!
  10. I appreciate your testimony. Did you find a ministry (church body) who encouraged you in your gifts? I had a mentor for a season, and have pretty much learned along the way. I'm new to the area and still need to find a home church. Blessings candi770
  11. It is so awesome, How God will confirm things. It's amazing too that you can revisit the dreams and understand what he brought you through. He totally proved to you that you could trust Him at His word. Are you an intercessor?? Thanks for the blessing of your testimony! Candi770

  13. I understand it's not affecting americans, but it does affect those in Canada, sweden and a few other places, who are losing their rights, I'm sorry, I had more of a motive to speak to people in those areas.(if you read my first post).
  14. "A fast-tracked congressional plan to add special protections for homosexuals to federal law would turn "thoughts, feelings, and beliefs" into criminal offenses and put Christians in the bull's-eye, according to opponents." Quote from posted article. KatyAnn- This is pertaining to speech, not regular hate crimes. Preachers have been charged for preaching against homosexuality and I'm under the understanding that it has went to speaking against the muslim extremists as well.
  15. God is still in control, God will use other methods of convicting people of sin. A preacher I was listening to was saying that in Russia, people were having visions and dreams of Jesus, people who had never considered God, and one person was in prison gave his heart to Jesus and the Holy Spirit taught him the word of God (without a bible). So God will use methods to speak to people. Unfortunately, I'm concerned more for the Judgement that could come-Like the towers falling, I mean really-did you see wide spread repentance-after such a terrible day, What will it take to get the attention of mankind now?? Will we see revival?? Then you see countries like China, with all rights taken away and the Church adds daily-
  16. That is in Canada and some other nations, but yes. What I see the problem with is Ministers who preach against sin, but worse than that-those churches wouldn't be able to discriminate and probably would have to allow homosexual leadership (I may be wrong on that last point), but sounds scary.
  17. don't judge that way, He may truely need Help. Who is judging him? I would like to know more about him, as KarenC is doing what she can by making enquiries.Ever heard the story of the boy who called "wolf" Don't accuse me of judging. When you have been around message boards as long as I have, you learn to use some discernment. PS. I have just heard that he has been banned from posting. I have no idea why. I'm concerned for Him as well, and by chance he ever comes back, I wouldn't want him to think we take it as a joke. I've had someone in the past, who still stays in contact with me, who this happened to. Sorry if that is not the way you meant it. I didn't know message boards gives you more discernment. . . . Message boards don't give you discernment, it's a divine gift that once received should be practiced.I don't take any man's word for anything until I have tested it. No one.!! Please don't get flippant with me. Sorry, my intent was not to get you upset. blessings anyway candi

  21. Brother, this stayed in my mind for some time, I came across these scriptures. I would say pray for them and seek God if he wants confrontation. Acts 8:18-23 (New Living Translation) 18 When Simon saw that the Spirit was given when the apostles laid their hands on people, he offered them money to buy this power. 19
