  1. the management company said that they like to keep the same people, but who knows if it will sale, surely not anytime soon. I think that they will see him as an asset. but you both are right, if something happens, God will provide. Thanks so much
  2. I feel like God will take care of us and I have faith to believe He will. I just have a concern that this complex that my husband works for allowed us to move from out of state then less than 6 months later filed bankrupcy and the bank has it with a management company taking care of it. I feel that the people who hired my husband knew prior to this, but they said they were caught of guard as well. Now, with the management company helping out, I'm concerned that eventually they will sale and my husband will be out of a job. I don't have any negative feelings, but I am concerned since we have 2 children that would have to be uprooted should it come to lossed jobs-if a new owner decides to clean house. Finances are good and I will be putting a large amount into savings very soon. Is there any advice that anyone who has went through anything like this or anyone who has advice in what we should consider?? I can't believe that they had the biggest article in our area newspaper, my husband is very good at his job and I pray that he will continue to have favor with them. (It has been such a blessings since we have been home near my folks) Thanks your sis candi770
  3. Prayer is most important and is not a lite thing, it is very important, just as well as you are-very important to the body of Christ. Pray about it and see what the Lord does.
  4. I don't hate her, but I sure don't trust her enough to run a country-her husband failed-why would I think she would do any better: here is a good reason why: http://www.nohillaryclinton.com/2007/12/11...ys-glass-house/
  5. boy do those guys like to debate-they sure come back for more!! Gotta love um'!!
  6. If god created us then all we have in us.is from God..including our intelligence..why is it anymore evil for a man to use his intelligence to create a life saving device such as a defibrilator..than it is for a man to discover the process that lead from ape to man...whch has brought about some of the greatest cures to human diseases in history. For example a new treatment for AIDS which has great hopes for complete success and curing AIDS patients of their disease is based 100% on the theory of evolution..I would say that GOd gave Darwin a pat on the back God gave us the ability in science, but never expected up to find ways to disprove that he created the world-that is what the devil did!
  7. It's just prove that Doctors don't know everything.
  8. You know, they had warnings, they were told what not to do and they did it. It's the same as our justice system, yet his ways are better than ours. I'm so thankful for my father, He warned me once when I was not being obedient, he told me what would happen if I continued-he always kept his word. I can remember when something happened the first time in our house-because we saw what happened when you crossed the line. I think God does the same thing but much better, they knew what was right and wrong, they were told the consequences and they did it anyway-what would they expect-they saw it happen to others. this song came to my heart: blessings candi
  9. I love cheapskates!! I love to save money! But at least I don't make my neighbors mad. that is so funny!
  10. I love when the Holy Spirit puts words in our mouth!!
  11. It really depends on who it is that dies, when I'm not real close to the person, I try to be as supportive as possible to the family of the deceased. When people are close to me, it's really hard. I mean, when my 24 year old brother was murdered-it wasn't good, it was sudden, unexpected, I can't even remember the funeral much other than the viewing- wanting him to open those eyes-he had these long eyelashes and the air conditioner was moving them-I kept thinking-get up, get up. It's hard to believe that was 17 years ago. Thank God he was a christian. I can look back on good times now-but then, no a 24 year old is not supposed to die and I shouldn't have had to see my momma and daddy suffer so. But I remember when we gathered for my brother that a cousin ask to take me on a 4 wheeler (I was 20 years old-she was 15 or so) It's like I didn't realize I was on the thing until she made me think she was goin to run into somebodies car-man did I want off that thing. In the past, with our relatives who lived in Georgia-everyone brought food for the family and back then we were kids, so all the kids got to play together-we didn't really understand death. I remember my brothers/cousins telling me that they would let me play in the camper with them if I went and got everyone's food and drink-then they requested dessert-boy was I excited-then when they were done-they left and I was all alone-those mean boys!!! But I don't remember a "party" atmosphere. The only time I think I was more "at peace" at a funeral was when my Grandmother had died, she had the month prior experienced a near death and was extremely mad that the doctor brought her back-she told us this when we were visiting over the weekend-when we got home sunday night-they called to say she died, we knew she had been ready.
  12. Shalom Candi, Honey, WHAT are you talking about? Not all Christians do these things--
  13. Can we judge all christians in this manner?? Why do people do it- Because they're stupid-I will be accountable for myself and no other in this matter-and as far as the true body of Christ-they don't walk in this manner. I don't either. Please, could you consider edifying posts about Christians???
  14. Be blessed that your pastor thought so highly of you, You know you hardships-but you also know the one with the answers-accept these blessings when they come-and tell say-Glory to God!-For all those Good things the Lord is working in you-it is awesome that you seek the Lord and you pray for others. Yes, continue to pray for those who pop in your mind. We all go through seasons in life, when we don't feel so spiritual, but sometimes, we must press in-believe me you will be blessed when you seek his face. It takes time to grow in the Lord and we have to learn patience along the way. Do you know who you are "in Christ", look at my signature line and click onto that-those are awesome scriptures who tell you who you are In Christ-it only matters what the Lord thinks of you. People will recognize you by the fruit that you bear. If it is in God's plan for you to be a pastor-it will happen by His hand, He will equip you, so rest and realize it is not something you have to work out, but something He will prepare you for-just remain in Him. Continue seeking Gods face. God doesn't alway use those who the world would use-He seeks after those to show His Glory through-so that they see Christ in you and not the man. blessings candi
  15. Because they are sold out to it, think about it, it's taught in the schools, universities, it's everywhere. It is convenient for them to think they can disprove that God created the earth and everything in it. It keeps them safe within their own "click". But I wonder what Darwin thought when He faced God, and I would have loved to hear what God said to Darwin.
  16. As long as God is in the first place of your heart and you remain in Christ, i don't see a problem, just keep yourself pure, nothings wrong with who you are, God has a plan for you that he may not have for others, continue to follow Him. Nothing wrong with eventually learning to change a tire, etc, for your future needs but that doesn't define a man. Always keep your eyes on Jesus, He will teach you to be the man He wants you to be. blessings lil' soldier of God- auntie Candi770
  17. I know from my sons issue was mostly from oxygen use at birth (what my heart tells me) and partly from me. But really, I think it is a learning style, a learning difference that we all learn to deal with and get over. But to label something like this is crazy. Kids are still accountable for their actions and will still face God as we will. I'm currently looking over Omega 3, and our family for health reasons have started using smart balance products. In looking over some articles it seems that omega 3, flax seed oil are very good for many things. If anything I've learned from ADD is that we must rely on God wholeheartedly, especially in our weakness'. God is so good, thanks again candi
  18. Near, this is the time for you to rest in Him and realize He is God and He has a plan for all of us. It is not the plan He has for me or the plan that He has for someone else. If don't have to do something for God to be loved, accepted and He doesn't feel more special toward one child than the other who does these things, because we must realize that He is the one who does it through us. Get to really know Him, If there are any barriers like sin, etc, ask for Forgiveness. As you sit down to fellowship with the Lord, at a time that works for you, first thing in the morning or before bedtime-whatever works for you. Set aside time for Him. He desires our time- Prior to reading the word of God, ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand and grasp what He is wanting to tell you. Meditate on the word of God- The word of God is what the spirit man needs for growth and the Holy SPirit will help you along the way. Make sure that you set aside time to worship/praise, spend time in prayer, but also have some quiet time to listen for a still small voice that takes practice to hear. You will grow with leaps and bounds. But, even if you go through periods where it seems slow, if you continue in your fellowship with the Lord, realize you are at the center of where He wants you. He created you for a specific purpose, a specific plan, you won't learn that from comparing yourself to other brother and sisters in the Lord, you will learn that on your face before the almighty. You can have an intimate relationship-that He really desires-where you learn His heart and take on His nature. So that when people see you, they will know you by your fruit and someday, He will require that you produce- In His time and In His plan. Matthew 6:25-33 (New American Standard Bible) The Cure for Anxiety 25"For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? 26"Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they? 27"And who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life? 28"And why are you worried about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow; they do not toil nor do they spin, 29yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these. 30"But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you? You of little faith! 31"Do not worry then, saying, 'What will we eat?' or 'What will we drink?' or 'What will we wear for clothing?' 32"For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33"But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. (This one is most important) I've been where you were, I was a babe in ministry (I'm not in formal ministry now) and I saw what I thought were giant woman of God, yes the had strong callings, with strong responsibilites-but they God there through prayer and obedience. I couldn't understand, I thought it was unattainable- the I realized, God had different plans for me, He called me to prayer-intercession-not a ministry like theres, but what He wanted me to do, That's all that matters. But back then I remember begging God, ok God, tell me what you want me to do, I felt like I had to do something, I showed up to church, and a lady I never met, turned around and said, you are waiting on confirmation from the Lord, He wants you to know that until that time it is revealed to continue to serve Him. This message came after I learned that God really loves us to worship/praise Him in our private time-then I learned over time that it is powerful-warfare against the enemy, the Lord Loves worship/praise, making time for Him-setting aside time-even if it is a sacrifice sometimes to let Him know what He means to us. I had so much growth back then-that season was awesome. I'm not trying to tell you to start some formula-but Get to know God better, so that you will hear Him for yourself and know exactly where the shepherd will lead you. Even if you don't feel it doesn't mean it's not happening, we must walk by faith and not by sight. I tell God, regardless of how I feel, I will serve you today-boy does He show up when I need Him. Your not a false anything, your human and we have felt simularly. Just know when you continue in fellowship with the Lord, you are in the center of His will. Don't worry if you see your brother run out ahead of you-doing something God called him to-He will have something-not always big, not always small, for all of us and it takes all of us, because we are the Body Of Christ, there may be a day when that brother needs you (through Christ) to pull him out of the mire. So don't get jealous. Make sure to repent of that. But blessings on your journey with Christ, Candi
  19. I came across that last night, trying to find out about omega-3 and how it affects ADD (my son). My son was watching over my shoulder and I had to explain, that it was "New Age", people are so looking for answers-Jesus is the only way!! Thanks candi770
  20. '"c. We are to rightly judge the doctrinal teaching of preachers and teachers by God's Word (Matthew 7:15-20; Acts 17:10-11; 1 Corinthians 14:29; Titus 1:10-16; 3:10; Hebrews 13:7; 1 John 4:1; Revelation 2:20-24). Peter and John both told the Jewish leaders to judge what they were saying to see if it was true or not according to God's Word (Acts 4:19). Paul tells the Corinthians to judge what he was saying (1 Corinthians 10:15). '' **This Bible study was written and submitted in April 2001 by: Joseph M. Deuteronomy 18:14 (NAS) "For those nations, which you will dispossess, listen to those who practice witchcraft and to diviners, but as for you, the Lord your God has not allowed you to do so." Acts 8:9-11 (NIV) Now for some time a man named Simon had practiced sorcery in the city and amazed all the people of Samaria. He boasted that he was someone great, and all the people, both high and low, gave him their attention and exclaimed, "This man is the divine power known as the Great Power." They followed him because he had amazed them for a long time with his magic. Jeremiah 5:23 (NIV) But these people have stubborn and rebellious hearts; they have turned aside and gone away. 2 Timothy 3:6-8 (RSV) For among them are those who make their way into households and capture weak women, burdened with sins and swayed by various impulses, who will listen to anybody and can never arrive at a knowledge of the truth. As Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, men of corrupt mind and counterfeit faith. We shouldn't judge the person, but the message is not of God, should be a warning to those who hear. Lets pray for oprah
  21. I don't know if you will find physical scripture for that but,,, God is omnipresent-meaning He can be everywhere at once and is able to read our thoughts, Satan wasn't created to be like that-he can give us seeds, just as well as God gives us seeds, it's up to us to not allow those seeds to be sown in our hearts, and to allow only God's seeds to grow. We need to have a healthy understanding of God's power at work in us and our authority as a believer to realize that satan only has power we give up, so stand your ground. I know that satan can use the words that you can use fresh from the prayer closet-put that it funny, because he doesn't truely know what is yet to come from the Father. Don't give the devil any crdit for anything-in all things give Glory to God. I believe we can hear the Lord, we hear our own spirit, we can hear our own flesh and we can hear the enemy. Our flesh and the enemy can sound very simular-because our flesh is at odds with our spirit man. The Lord will never bring condemnation, but the devil will. Our flesh will condemn us when we ask for forgiveness, we just have to receive forgiveness by faith and make our flesh line up with the word of God. The enemy only has as much ground and as much power as we give up. He will attempt to bring condemnation-but knowing it's not the Lord-we can rebuke him at the starting gate-and beat him at his game. Sometime my flesh will have "wicked imaginations", but I confess that to the Lord and ask for forgiveness-and don't receive it to myself. The Holy Spirit/Lord/God will bring conviction-but in that will provide a way out with the Word and with Hope. Blessings candi
  22. It surprises me when family members treat outsiders better than those who are in their same household-that grieves me when my husband can treat someone better than me. Yes, people are full of faults even in the Body of Christ, but we have the Head "Jesus" who is our source. Our members who are weak even need our prayer-as a Father/Mother, Aunt/Uncle, Brother/Sister. Who wants to be separated from their family member forever?? I pray that God sends you some good christian friends to fellowship with the Lord with, we all need partners and those who lift us up, but are willing also to let us know when we missed it. Peace... blessins candi
  23. I like your spunk too. All men are dead in Adam. Glad to see we agree on something. but then judgement..... I know it sounds harsh, but we do have a choice. I mean we all do.
  24. Really? Atheists lack a belief in god where self rightous christians think they know-it-all about their god. You don't see the difference? a self-righteous christian relys on self to make it through, an athiest relys on self to make it through a true christian relys soley on God. You rely SOLEY on god? to set your alarm clock? to do your job? to read to your children at night? to cook a meal? Everyone relys on himself to make it through a day, that's what's called being self-sufficient. If you don't do those things, no one else will. I believe that we are justified soley by Christ, not ourselves. Yes,it is good that we can do all those things that you are listing, but it is God that wakes me up, God that causes me to breath/live. But if I believe that apart from Him I can find salvation, and a way to the Father, I'm only fooling myself. Matthew 23:27 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which on the outside appear beautiful, but inside they are full of dead men's bones and all uncleanness. See, the self righteous make themselves to look good on the outside, but inwardly they are dead. man, I like your spunk. blessings candi
