My point to the Dutko post was that you cannot reconcile The Bible, not just the book of Genesis, and theistic evolution. Romans 5:12 says: "Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned" Theistic evolutionists argue that many sub-species evolved and died before the "Adam" of the Bible. Or that there really was no Adam at all. Yet the Bible clearly teaches that there was no death before Adam sinned! And in Luke chapter 3, Jesus' lineage is traced all the way back to ADAM. There is no way at all you can possibly know this. This is pure speculation on your part. Like what you just said above? Most theistic evolutions "use" God to get the universe started because they cannot explain it through cosmic evolution alone. And then they simply push God out of the picture. Is that what you do?

Now let me ask you a question: Do you think Hitler was used by God to bring about the nation of Israel? The citizens being loyal to him helped in killing 16 million people. No I don't. All Christians go through periods like that. I believe God sometimes pulls back from us, not completly away of course, but just enough to give us the sense of how much we really should depend on Him. It's so easy to take God for granted when He is near, the real test of our love is to learn how to trust Him when he pulls back for a bit. It's like when a father moves away from a child who is just learning how to walk. He is giving the child room to walk on his own, but remains near enough to catch him if he should fall.

Indeed, that is true. My only point being everything that has happened, or will happen, in this world, is because God has allowed it to happen. The very idea that something like the holocaust was an event that God didn't want to happen and could not prevent, is ludicrous.

A lot of spree killers start out by making those kinds of threats. I believe you should take him seriously, and let your local police know what he has been saying. Too many times these types of people make threats that no one takes seriously until it's too late. I think you should demand that he get some therapy, or you will cut ties with him. He is mentally ill. If he will not seek therapy, and continues to make threats about killing people, try to have him committed. HE NEEDS PROFESSIONAL HELP! Do NOT drop your guard around this guy!

In wartime you support your country and the leaders of your country. Plain and simple. The average German was unaware of all the atrocities that Hitler and his gang were doing. And it was the holocaust that pushed world opinion forward in giving the Jewish people a home and safe haven.
