  1. What about the book of Job? Elaborate please. Here is what is bothering me about your posts: 1)It sounds like you are trying to imply there is more than one way to God. And if there isn't, then he's a 'small' God. 2)It sounds like you are saying it's ok for us to live however and walk on the wide path, because we can repent at the last minute.
  2. Can you back up what you say wth God's word? Matthew 7:13-14 (New International Version) The Narrow and Wide Gates 13"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. Important to remember, the man on the cross who joined Jesus in paradise that day, he was not a believer until that day. You and I are believers TODAY, and we are called to live like it!
  3. no I am saying that it isn't for us to decide who gets saved and who doesn't... and that it isn't for us to decide if they do it right or not....even the man on the death bed who knows not Christ until the last breath and accepts Jesus is saved and doesn't have to go through all the isms and doctrine and other stuff that man puts on man in order to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.......God IS all powerful and will do it HIS way. and dare I say that many who think they are saved might want to make sure of it.....the pharisees thought they had it all together too and found they were a major point of disdain for Jesus. just something for everyone to think about....... No it isnt, but that doesnt mean we are not to recognize what is truth and what isnt. I now muslim beliefs are not truth. I also know that it really is possible fo a muslim to goto heaven, as long as he DOES ultimately put his faith in Jesus and repent of his false beliefs before he dies. Once he dies it's too late. another thought.... I think it is dangerous to live as we please, claiming belief in Jesus as our Savior, with the plan of repenting at the last minute. Just not a good idea. Jesus is to be both our Savior and LORD.
  4. So basically you are saying that muslims, hindus and etc., without giving up their muslim or etc. religion can and do believe and trust in Jesus as their personal Savior too?
  5. Oh, well, I know I myself I am terribly stubborn, and God never gave up on me, and well..let's just say it took alot before I finally laid everything down and surrendered to God 100%. That would be putting it mildly. It's such a long story and I wish I could sum it up in one sentence. Now God worked through my wrong ways, and made me see the errors of my way. Though God was able to work through those ways, did not make those ways right. I now live according to God's ways and fully rely on him rather than what makes sense to me.
  6. Well here's the next scripture that comes to mind: So I'd like to ask you to elaborate on what exactly you mean by outside the box? Do you mean like for example, for a couple to cohabitate and consider themselves married in the eyes of God? I need an example before I can really share my thoughts. The only thought I have so far is we need to really make sure we are depending on God fully and looking to his ways, not our own.
  7. Jackie, are you speaking more of wether or not Christians or limited to a box or if God is limited to a box?
  8. Amen Bibs!! Do you mind if I put that poem in my blog?
  9. Hmm... I have three posts in my blog with links, and I have been unable to do this technique in my blog. All the links lead nowhere when I try.
  10. Here's an interesting article: http://www.marmeedear.com/index.php?mact=N...nt01returnid=39
  11. I have noticed some of you incorporate links right into your sentences as one of the words. The word will be underlined and when you click on it, it links you somewhere. For example:---> This would be the perfect hat for Suzie. <--- Except, the word 'this' would be clickable and take you to a link with a picture of a hat. How do ya'll do that?
  12. Ok, your number 25 is still a gross exzageration. http://www.pregnancy-info.net/infertility_...tilization.html
  13. Why ever would that not be a viable medical option? Yes, I know they implant 5-7 at a time. I am not suggesting they only implant one at a time. What I am saying, is rather than fertilze all 25 eggs, they can opt to fertilize a smaller number, making it more possible to be accountable to all of the embryos.
  14. let's see if a mod can change it..... I think eric is viewing the forum.. Can he do it? Actually, I just went and checked. I believe you as the OP'er can edit the title!
  15. I'll start a thread linking this thread, I'll title it "Calling All Christian Men!!!!!!!"
  16. I have asked these questions too...and know exactly what you mean. I still have no idea or anything solid to go on when looking at the people I have known verses what scripture explains to be right. at the age I am I wonder if I will ever get to see it in real life. it saddens me too, because I feel like I've missed out on something very wonderful and holy. I used to cry about it, but the tears don't come anymore. If you get to see it or experience it please pass it on, so that I might receive the joy too....(place weeping smiley here) I know the feeling. When I first became a mother. I felt so lost. I had no role model to look back on. I certainly didnt want to raise my children the way I was raised. I see this as a real blessing, because it has made me all the more dependant on God and his word. Without the bible I would be utterly and totally lost and my children would surely be victims to the world's way of thinking.
  17. The important thing here is, are we going to rely on our own reasoning and what seems right to us? Or are we going to trust God who so loved the world that he gave us his only begotten son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life? On the surface, it looks like woman are seen as inferior to men in Christainity. That is a lie of satan, and that is not what it is about. Satan knows just what kind of lies to whisper to us. Keep your eyes on God, remember his love for you, and remember that he is the only source of absolute pure truth. Rely on his word. Vickilynn knows her stuff. I consider her a very qualified and Holy Spirit led Titus Two woman. There are somehere who may try very hard to get this thread going in a way as to ONLY look at one single verse, or from one certain very narrow way, so that they can misinterpret God's very clear word. Look at the bible, trust what it says, and remember how much God loves you and desires to protect you from the evil one. Remember that God is your Heavenly FATHER, and you are his CHILD. (refer to verse in my signature)
  18. No its actually 5 to 7 that are typically implanted. They harvest about 25 eggs or so, fertilize them, take the top 5 to 7 most promising looking ones, implant those, and either freeze or destroy the rest. Ah, but parents can opt not to attempt to fertilize that many right?
  19. A person can absolutely be pro IVF and pro life. So as long as they make sure none of the embryos are destroyed. It is certainly do-able! p.s. in the other thread, you kept talking about 25 eggs being harvested at a time? Where did you get that number from? During IVF, 5-7 eggs on average are harvested. 25 is pretty far out there. Even if 25 eggs are harvested, they could just simply choose to only attempt to fertilize 5 of them.
