  1. Perhaps I will take up Lazarus and the rich man in another post. So Paradise exists in the grave? Wow, that is what Christ promised those that overcome. That is where Paul was taken and shown the future. That is where the Tree of Life is. I guess I will have to go back and study my Bible and try to find Paradise in the grave.
  2. Yes, He now has ascended into heaven after first descending into the grave that He may fulfill all things. Nothing mystical or complicated about it. So what you're saying is, this beautiful paradise of which Christ spoke is simply the grave? Wow. Some paradise. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise. (Luke 23:43) NO! That is not what I'm saying! Paradise is the coming Kingdom. Christ words to the thief acknowledged what the thief had said that day. Because of

  4. From reading the posts in this thread I have come to the conclusion that a Christian is free to believe whatever he wishes about heaven, hell, purgatory, limbo, Paradise, Abraham
  5. The dead are at rest, asleep, until the Lord returns. To equate Paradise or Abraham

  12. Yes, excellent video. Available at the Berean Call, Dave Hunt's web site. Another great video is Islam: What the West Needs to Know. Wikipedia says this about it: "A controversial documentary film featuring discussions on Islam. It includes commentaries by Robert Spencer, Bat Ye'or, Walid Shoebat, and Srđa Trifković. The film premiered at the American Film Renaissance Festival in Hollywood on January 15, 2006 and had a limited theatrical release on July 7, 2006 in Chicago, Washington DC, and Atlanta." Not sure where to buy it but I saw it and it is great!
  13. I have thought about it. Why do even the constellations of the Zodiac tell the story of the Messiah? Why are we told that nature itself reveals the true God? Why are we told that those who reject that revelation are without excuse? Why was the worship of the Queen of Heaven forbidden? Who were the many gods that Paul spoke about on Mar
  14. A bit of sarcasm, my friend. The apology is for things no Jew has done but things that have been done by Muslims.
  15. Some Interesting Thoughts - from Prof. Stephen Berger: Following the latest atrocity in Israel, Secretary Powell pleaded with the Palestinians to issue some form of denunciation. Arafat complained that only the Palestinian side is ever required to denounce terror. Predictably, the Palestinian denunciation later mumbles that they, "deplore the murder of civilians on both sides." Perhaps the Palestinians have a point, and so to set the record straight, I do hereby denounce the following in the name of the Jewish People: 1. All Jewish suicide bombers who have ever acted against Arabs. 2. All Arab buses blown up by Jews. 3. All Arab pizza parlors, malls, discotheques and restaurants destroyed by Jewish terrorists. 4. All airplanes hijacked by Jews since 1963. 5. All Ramadan feasts targeted by Jewish bombs. 6. All Arabs lynched in Israeli cities; all Arab Olympic athletes murdered by Jews; all Arab embassies bombed by Jews. 7. All mosques, cemeteries and religious schools fire bombed or desecrated by Jews in North Africa, France, Belgium, Germany, England or any other country. 8. The destruction of American military, governmental and civilian institutions in Kenya, Pakistan, Iran, Saudi Arabia and Yemen - along with the murder of U.S. Marines and diplomatic personnel. 9. All Jewish school books which claim that Arabs poison wells, use Christian blood to bake pita, control world finance, and murdered Jesus; or that Arab elders meet secretly to plot a world takeover. 10. And I am particularly ashamed at the way my fellow Jews attacked the World Trade Center, Pentagon and civilian aircraft on September 11, and danced in the streets to celebrate the act. Hakham Meir Y. 16. Indeed, the Roman Church with its obsession of going to heaven has all but forgotten the return of our Lord. Sadly they are not alone. Many major Protestant denominations place little emphasis on Christ
  17. I am not "at it again". Arthur. I have never stopped being "at it." Your twist of scripture, although clever, is easily answered as I have done in the Soapbox Debate. If you wish to debate it I will be honored. Quote by Martin Luther:

  19. Kenod, you may be correct. As I said in a previous post we will know for sure when the Lord returns and explains all things. If we are, indeed, in the Laodicean stage then it would be wise if we took the warnings very seriously. Not only for ourselves but for the general "congregation" that we see around us.
  20. On April 1, 2004, Lindsey used his WorldNetDaily column to promote the sale of shares in the Zion Oil and Gas Company, citing Biblical prophecy as a basis for suggesting that there was oil in Israel. Critics have pointed out that Lindsey failed to mention that one of the directors of Zion Oil was Ralph DeVore, a director of Lindsey's ministries, as well as his cousin. DeVore has since resigned from Zion Oil.
  21. Various commentaries, interpret the angels or messengers to be the ministers, deacons, or pastors of the churches. Rev. 1:20 says the seven stars are the seven angels. In other words, one angel or minister for each church. This becomes interesting when one tries to place each church into a particular age. If we interpret and say that the letters to the churches are one dimensional, addressed to a specific church at that time, and have no other application then there is no problem. The
