  1. I would like to hear your comments about being perfect using the bible, rather than our opinions..
  2. We need to learn to compare scripture with scripture so that we can spiritually judge all things, and have an answer for every man because we have the mind of Christ. (Is 28:9-10, 1Cor 2:15-16, Phil 1:9, 1Pet 3:15, Col 4:6) Once we believe in Jesus, we need to come to learn, under His light yoke of repentant faith so that we could be instructed and have rest (the holy understanding, see Prov 9:10) for our souls. (Matt 11:28-29 cf. Jer 31:18-19) This form of teaching causes obedience from our hearts so that we would no longer serve sin; but become servants of righteousness (Rom 6:17-18 with Titus 2:12); unto holiness (Rom 6:22). Because ALL scripture should be given unto us for our instruction in righteousness, so that we can be perfected to go on to do good works. (2Tim 3:16-17) These are the servants who labor among us (in the word) who are to be highly esteemed because of this loving work. This is how we live in peace. (5:12-13) Our old man (sinful nature) needs to be crucified so that the body of sins would be destroyed. (Rom 6:6) For those that are DEAD (as a result from going through the crucifying process) are FREED from sin. (6:7) This is why we are commanded to not let sin reign ( have control) in our body (without crucifying it) OR we will obey it in it

    WAITING

What do we need to wait on the Lord for? For Him to deliver us from all our transgressions (Ps 39:7-8); so that we can go on to serve others by love. (Gal 5:13) We can only wait upon the Lord in His strength if He is to be our defense. (Ps 59:9) Are you pouring your heart out before Him? Then you are waiting upon God to work His expectations in you (Ps 62:8 & 5); and out of you. (Jn 3:21) This is how He shows His mercy. (Ps 62:12) This mercy is also shown as calling sinners to repentance so that they would no longer be sick. (Matt 9:13-12) Help me to wait upon you so that I might be given what I need (from You) in due season. (104:27) Through this waiting on the Lord we can be strengthened to run (the race) and not get wearied. (Is 40:31) We cannot run the race with patience unless we are being chastened by the Lord so that we might be strengthened to lay aside the weight (of sin) as we look unto Jesus who is both the author and finisher of our faith. (Heb 12:1-2, 5-6) This chastening is also known as God

(Matt 11:28-29 cf. Jer 31:18-19) We are given the knowledge of the glory of God, by the mercy of God through His servants manifesting the truth by the scriptures. (2Cor 4:6,1-2) This is the form of teaching which causes obedience from the heart so that we would no longer serve sin. (Rom 6:17 with Titus 2:12) Because ALL scripture is given unto us for our instruction in righteousness, we can be perfected to go on to do good works (2Tim 3:16-17) ; that ministers grace through the good communication which edifies those who hear. (Eph 4:29, Rom 15:2) These are the servants who labor among us (in the word) who are to be highly esteemed because of this loving work. This is how we live in peace. (5:12-13) Who shall abide with God forever? Those whom God has prepared by His mercy in the truth, so that they would be preserved. Ps 61:7, 40:11 Who may abide in the Lord
  5. Those who have the mind of Christ can spiritually judge all things, because they have Learned to compare scripture with scripture. 1Cor 2:16-13 with Is 28:9-12 Once we believe in Jesus, we need to come to learn, under His light yoke (of repentant faith) so that we could be instructed and have rest (the holy understanding, see Prov 9:10) for our soul. (5:12-13) Has the Lord blessed you by sending a beautiful footed preacher to bring you the glad tidings of good things? (Rom 10:15, Is 52:7, Nah 1:15) Then you are able to call upon the Lord to deliver you from the power of sin, so that you can become holy and have [the assurance of] salvation (Joel 2:32, Obad 1:17, Ps 145:18,Rom 10:14-13); because you now believe from your heart you can become righteous and loving AFTER Christ frees you from being in bondage to sin you can patiently wait through the Spirit, for the righteous and loving ability. (Rom10:10, Gal 5:1 & 5:5-6 & 13) If you are being hindered from obeying this truth, you are in the leavened church (Gal 5:7 & 9); leaven, meaning being taught false doctrine. (Matt 16:11-12) Anyone who does not teach (or bring) the doctrine of Christ cannot have the Father and the Son and we are not to receive them OR we will partake in their evil deeds. (2Jn 1:9-11) These do not have the Father and the Son, so they cannot love others because they are not walking in the truth which can love. (1:5-3) The doctrine of Christ has us lay the foundation of repentance from our dead works for true faith towards God first, so that we might be permitted by God to go on to (Christian) perfection (Heb 6:1-3); without which we will believe in Jesus while practicing evil deeds, as the condemned because we have not learned that we need God to work His truth into us so that it
  6. Thank you for the encouragement Jeff! I am happy to hear that you were edified by it.
  7. To KansasDad, I will give you $1,000 if you can prove that Jesus did not call people names. Remember if you cannot prove this you owe me an apology for denying me the right to call people names in Jesus name. You will also remember that in the context of 1Cor 13:6 Paul exhorts people to stop being children in verse 11. Your next move is going to be very interesting and we are all going to be amazed by your inability to get the $1,000.

(1Thess 4:9-12 with 3:12) We are called by God to abstain from all appearances of evil. (1Thess 5:22) What does this mean? It simply means that we are to ask God to help us walk uprightly, (Gal 2:14) speak with sincerity, reject any unjust gain, to not listen to gossip and slanderous conversations, and not be into watching evil. (Is 33:15) Our earnest prayer should be pleading with the Lord that our

  12. The preacher, Col 3:5 confounds your opinion that dead works are merely associated with idolatry and Pharasees actions against Christians, because it plainly states that covetousness is idolatry. Idolatry and covetousness are sins, you state that idolatry is a dead work and other sins are merely every-day-things; the Scripture tells us that covetousness is also idolatry, therefore both ARE dead works. All of your talking around this is silly. We, would all like to have your agreement that ALL sins are dead works. I note that you have yet to deal with this, and we all know why, because you wish to establish some other understanding, which runs counter to this truth. READ Col. 3:5 and compare your stated position with its truth, and let us all have your answer, rather than your continuing avoidance. You will also note that all sin must be idolatry, because all sin is done AGAINST GOD ONLY (Ps. 51:4). Sorry for quoting these verses, but I am required to have an answer. I do not need to quote any other verses to support the truth, if you do not continue to speak against this truth. Your agreement, or silence is required, because you cannot do anything against the truth, unless YOU wish to be disorderly. Order is not established at the expense of the truth, which I have lovingly set forth for your edification. Ztheberean
  13. Hi there, No offense taken but I cannot continue responding to your opinions without using other Scriptures which are relevant to the topic in question. I don't believe that dead works do not include sins. Idolatry is one of ten commandments and idolatry is therefore one sin against God just as lying, cheating, and stealing are also against God only. For the bible tells us against God only do we sin, and the sin of covetousness is also idolatry. And if covetousness is idolatry then anyone of the other sins practiced makes for idolatry too. I choose not to be limited to opinions now that I have all Scripture which is profitable. Therefore, until I can use Scripture freely I will no longer participate in this discussion. Ztheberean Hi Ztheberean, Please don

  15. Hello there, Repentance is a gift from God (Acts 11:18); which God grants this repentance when we are under a meek and patient instructor (of grace) so that we can be recovered from doing the devil's will in our life (rather than God's will). (2Tim 2:24-26) The dead works are: How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? (Heb 9:14) Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are [these]; Gal 5:19 Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Gal 5:20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Gal 5:21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told [you] in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. Eph 2:1 And you [hath he quickened], who were dead in trespasses and sins; Eph 2:5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) I believe that these Scriptures harmonize with the Scriptures you are using. Blessings in asking God to help us do these things, Ztheberean
  16. Have you been Separated? It is necessary to compare scripture with scripture IF we are to LEARN and go on to have the mind of Christ 1 Cor 2:13&16 Once we believe in Jesus, we need to come to learn, by taking His light yoke (of repentant faith) so that we could be instructed and have rest (or understanding) for our soul. (Matt 11:29 cf. Jer 31:18-19) We are given the knowledge of the glory of God, by the mercy of God through His servants manifesting the truth by the scriptures. (2Cor 4:6,1-2) This is the form of teaching which causes us to become obedient from our hearts so that we would no longer serve sin. (Rom 6:17) Because ALL scripture is given unto us for our instruction in righteousness, so that we would be perfected to do good or merciful works. (2Tim 3:16-17) This is how we are prepared to go on to minister grace through the good communication which edifies those who hear. (Eph 4:29, Rom 15:2) These are the servants who labor among you (in the word) who are to be highly esteemed in love, because of this work. This is how we live in peace. (5:12-13) Have you asked God to separate you from all the filthiness of this world so that you could seek the LORD to be strengthened by Him, so that you could work for Him? (Ezra 6:21-22) Jesus can separate us from our iniquities so that we would not die in them (and be judged, see Math 7:21) and defile the name of the Lord. (Lev 15:31) If God to separating you then you will be on your knees diligently asking the LORD (for the things that you need, see 2Pet 1:4-9 while pleading with Him to deliver you from those things that are offensive to Him, see 1Kgs 8:47-52) night and day so that you can go on to be His servant whom He maintains. (1Kgs 8:53-54&59) This is the prayer with the weeping confessions. (Ezra 10:1)Those who are into building for God have these prayers in their hearts. (1Chron 17:25)This is how the Lord perfects our hearts and causes us to walk in His statues and keep His commandments. God says that we are blessed when others hate us and separate themselves from us, for His namesake. (Lk 6:22) God first calls us, (through repentance) then separates us, (so that we can be instructed, see Jer 31:18-19) so that we can go and work for Him. (Acts 13:2) Has the Lord caused you to forsake those who are foolish, so that you can have this understanding and live? (Prov 9:6) The foolish are those that hear the word of God and cannot do what it says because they have laid their foundation upon sand which will fall, but they haven
  17. thepreacher; Amen and Amen! How refreshing it is to see another believer who gives the evidence of Scripture to back his reasoning, rather than people just giving their opinions and stories without using the Scriptures.(Acts 17:11, Eph 4:16 and 29) People just don't know and understand that true Love edifies with the truth (the word of God) so that we can be built up in godly wisdom and understanding. (Eph 4:16,29,1Cor 14:12,Rom 14:19, 1Tim 1:4) This is why we should study so that we can show ourselves approved of God ( not men) without shame. (2Tim 2:15, 1Thess 4:11) Blessings in His grace, Ztheberean
