I know your probably not going to want to hear this, but, here's the thing. I gather your still living with your family right? And it's toxic? Well have you considered putting school on hold so you can find your own place and get your kids out of that toxic environment?

Could God have forgiven and saved Judas?
The_Patriot21 replied to JohnD's topic in Spiritual Warfare
It can be argued that He did, certain Gospels say that Judas repented. Whether that just means he repented to God, or just to the high priests out of guilt is up for debate. -

WorthyNews:Judge Blocks Order To Deport Boulder Suspect’s Family
The_Patriot21 replied to WorthyNewsBot's topic in U.S. News
If they are I don't disagree, however they were ordered deported within hours of him being caught, that's not enough time to do a proper investigation or trial to confirm that is the case. At the rate they were picked up with was petty to me. I'm 100% for deporting illegals -but I'm also for due process. -
WorthyNews:Judge Blocks Order To Deport Boulder Suspect’s Family
The_Patriot21 replied to WorthyNewsBot's topic in U.S. News
Good. The deportation seemed rather petty to me, a knee jerk reaction to the terrorists actions. If a proper investigation shows they had a part in it, they need jailed (at least the adults) with the terrorist. If they were complacent (knew but weren't directly involved, just didn't say anything) then deport them. But if they had no knowledge whatsoever then they should be treated in accordance to the law, not kicked out just because we're mad at the guy. -
He's right in the function like handguns in that you pull a trigger and it goes boom. But the other side is also right in that they go beyond the realm of self defense and enter the realm of a combat capable weapon. Don't get me wrong they certainly can be used for self defense. But they're not drastically different from their military counterpart. The issue is how they're viewing the intent of the second amendment, not their definition of a firearm and it's uses. According to the intent of the original second amendment, we should be able to own the exact same weapons the military does. I.e. combat capable weapons. That would include the military versions of the ARs, not just the watered down versions available on the market. We should also be able to buy things like the fully auto M249 Saw or even a fully operational tank, for that matter.

WorthyNews:Mexican Navy Ship Crash Kills 2, Injures Dozens

Why was it even going under the bridge in the first place? Did no one think to check clearances ahead of time? -
There's really only two options, one he's lying through his teeth to save face, which is really bad, or two, he really is ignorant of it, which is just as bad because it speaks of a whole new level of incompetence, the very incompetence that trump spoke of. I'm honestly not sure which option is worse.

Since he's from Chicago, can we expect to see deep dish communion wafers in the Catholic Church sometime soon? -
When Biden took office, Democrats where overeager to blame everything he did wrong in the first year on Trump's previous 4 years. But of course, now that Trump's in office and making the same argument against Biden, Democrats will be sure to say there's no such thing and blame it all on trump.

It has to do more with simply being polite and showing consideration for others. For example, in my home it's perfectly acceptable to eat with your elbows on the table. It doesn't bother me or any of my immediate family. There's adequate room at the table to do so and it doesn't hurt anyone. But my mom doesn't like elbows on the table, even though her table is as large as mine, and they won't hurt anything there either, but I defer to her rules out of respect for her. And let's be honest, even with this post, no you didn't use capitals, but you certainly emphasized certain words by boldening certain letters. You could have conveyed your counter argument effectively without doing that, just like you could have conveyed your previous posts effectively without capitals, but you chose to bolden them. And the reason isnt to try to have a respectful conversation, but to somehow paint me as the bad guy. It's called gaslighting, and in a very passive aggressive way. Adding in a little "warning" doesn't change anything, it's like saying "with all due respect" to someone before saying something you know will offend them. One isn't being respectful doing that, they're being passive aggressive. Common forum etiquette says capitalizing is yelling. So to say "I'm not yelling" then proceed to yell, even though you know what etiquette is, isn't being your authentic self, or at least I hope it isn't, because it's being very rude. In any case, that's all I have to say on the matter, as I have no interest in side railing this topic further, nor even, really in the topic whatsoever. Just dont want to see another topic shut down because the people within it can't debate in a Christlike and respectful manner.

The fact you have to specify this, tells me your aware of proper forum etiquette, and are choosing to ignore it. If you want to emphasize certain words, it would be far better, and far more polite to italicize, underline, or change the color of certain words you wish to emphasize then to intentionally choose to do something many take as rude or yelling.

You can tell a lot about a person by the books they read.
The_Patriot21 replied to unworthyservant's topic in U.S. Politics
Well, I guess then let's see what my books say about me, based upon what I read. Let's see, my favorite authors are C.J. Box, William Johnstone, and J.R.R. Tolkien. Guess I must be a game warden with a big gun and a stetson riding through Middle Earth trying to write Sauron a ticket for fishing illegally.
