Good link. The four step response was good. All rounded up even better This freind however is not your avarage steemroller. What I mean is is that he is not steemrolling me like the radio presenter was on about. My freind and co worker is someone I have a lot of respect for. He is never rude and even appologizes if he butts in on my explanations. However this link you have posted has some good reading. Thanks

My heart goes out to you AMK and I believe you answered appropriately as to why there are children suffering with affliction and disease and why, why so innocent does God do this to these children? God doesn't do this to these children, it is the world we live in that does it. If God could snap His fingers and make it all perfect so there is no strife or illness or war, or violence and so on then we would have a perfect world. But it is not God's world in a sense as satan is on the loose and knowing God will be Victorious in the end. And those children who are suffering will become perfect beings without anymore pain when our Lord returns. I don't believe that quoting Scripture to a non believer will make your point any more valid since they don't believe in the Word. So, you can just be an example of love and ask this person, if he is so concerned about God "allowing" this to happen, why doesn't he (your co worker) go and volunteer to cheer them and at least put a smile on their face with a story or a stuffed animal, even just his presence will let them know they care. It truly annoys me that those who condem the Lord for such suffering and then go on about their own daily business without contribution are hypocritial. We can all show God's love in this evil, selfish, power hungry, misguided world we live in today by putting ourselves out there and doing something for others. You never know what difference it can make in their lives. You can also say that, this is the world, but it is the Lord that keeps their suffering from getting worse and I truly believe that Jesus touches the children with a special and most precious gift that we don't even know of. He loves little children and such a loving God would never purposely allow suffering. But He does fill them with a love, I believe, that counteracts such suffering and softens the pain that otherwise may damage their spirit as well as their bodies. I did not say that my freind does not contribute towards suffering children??? He does and even more, He can prove it. I know he does myself,so he is not a hypocrite. What he is though is a human being who does not understand God. Of course he doesn,t. I don,t either most of the time. The difference between me and him is that I received the milk before the meat. That made my transition into knowing Jesus much easier in the beginning. He in the other hand gets the meat first and as a simple human cannot grasp the concept of a caring God!

I my case and the case of Paul I can agree that suffering strengthens us too. But for a baby to suffer who is not to blame for its circumstances and although God is neither to blame, god could still remove the pain? The first replier here included a thoughtfull poem. Yours and taht reply give some food for thought, But I already know how my work companion will reply before I ask! Thankyou for your post all the same

Sometimes uneccesary when it happens to me yes, But that very very seldom happens Maybe its because of my background. I was never apreciated to much as a kid. Went through years of neglect in that area. Screamed for atention and got little. Now years later I get attention big time and praise and excessive praise. but I just lap it up. Bring it on. I love it. It makes me feel great about myself. it makes me feel like each day is pay day An example: Today I got praised five times for my work in an old ladies house. They even told me how envious they were because of my work and my speed. No I don,t feel overburdened with flattery when people do this, Unless I know its something I am not good at and they don,t know what there talking about, But then I just shrug it off and get on with what I am doing. But when people insult me or talk to me like I am nothing. Thats a completely different matter, Thats may also have something to do with my past too? Yes directly and through his children too. But the people who make me feel good the most apart from Jesus are my family and my customers

What is the difference between praise and flattery? Should I just encourage people to go forward without making them feel important?. See below: Thankyou for your imput. I do encourage you to continue, But of course I won,t flatter you by telling you that you are so smart in case you get the idea that I am trying to make you do something you don,t want to do I see what you are all getting at,But its not always the case that someone flatters someone for there own gain or just to get something from someone else

I use the KJV first and formost. I also like using the nelson word study student study bible. In deep study I always check with the KJV though. I do this because other translations can differ in meaning and thats just thinking of the english translations. The norwegian translations differ even more Sometimes I crossreferance with the greek too.

Both! It is possible to flatter someone by encouraging them or encourage someone by flattering them

Every day I go to work. My working companion and I talk about everything under the sun. He is not christian,But has no problem with me talking about my faith because he knows it just comes natural to me. He asked the question about why does God let inocent children suffer. My answer was that this is something he would have to ask God about, Since I don,t know how God thinks on this one? I said to that people are good at blaiming God for everything. My freind said: Ok what if a child was lying in a hospital bed in agony most of his or her days because of something someone else did. Why then does God not fix the problem even though its not his fault? I said that God does not always do what we want God to do. God is in complete control and we have to beleave that he is. My freind said I must be off my rocker to beleave this. I realy don,t know why God does a lot of what he does But I am not god. Sadly to get a non christian to see it from my perspective just does not float I was just wondering what the bible had to say?

The problem is with "zero tolerance." For example, I drive through a red light and the camera takes my picture. It doesn't know I am rushing my friend who just had a heart attack to the hospital. A few days later I get a ticket in the mail and have to take a day off work to go for my day in court. The judge lets me off, of coirse, but meanwhile I missed work and had to be inconvenienced all because a camera was doing a job a cop should have been doing. That's what I mean by judgment call. A cop could have pulled me over, seen what was happening and given me an escort to the hospital. Folks, we are are way too reliant on technology; nothing can replace human beings. Cameras also do not always show everything and images on a screen can be misinterpreted. I agree about placement. Cameras caught my assault and contributed to the eventual capture of the thugs. But, they were in a very large parkinglot and it was very late at night. In that kind of situation I think they are a useful aid. I think they are useful on private property or in buildings where sensitive work is being done. But they should never be used to enforce laws, only to aid human beings who should be enforcing laws. As a taxpayer, I want to see a uniformed police presense, not some camera that may or may not be working. Yes, But here is my experience. I parked my car at the local hospital in an area that was not for parking because the whole car park was full. I got a ticket for this, But when I apealed. They checked this on the camera and agreed that I was within my righs and let me off. In your situation if you were trying to save one life by risking other lives and driving like crazy then please please yes lets do have camera,s on top of traffic lights. I guess your country is not as good as ours in that aspect. If someone is that sick we just call for the helecopter. It would have to be death threatning though before they would send the helicopter. As far as camera,s not showing everything. That all depends on what they are set too, That can be corrected in some cases, But true not all. We do have policemen too, There just extremely difficult to spot I too would like to see more policemen around, Not completely just cameras Sure you went through the process of appealing a "ticket" issued for parking illegally at the hospital. You say without the camera you would not have had proof of where you parked. Well, what springs to my mind is that you had to go to all the trouble of appealing the "ticket", attending court - possibly necessitating a day off work (lost pay), incredible inconvience, and you had to go through the process of trying to reason with a bureaucrat. I am suprised that the appeal was successful as the average mind of the average bureaucrat does not seem to work logically. Do you want to have to put up with CCTV surveillance just on the off chance that you will get a "ticket" and be able to appeal it successfully. I don't like speed cameras because just after they were brought in here (yet another thing BTW that the public were "overwhelmingly against") an elderly couple living down the street from us "got a speed camera fine" in the mail. This threw the old man into a bit of a state of confusion because he had been used to handling things using reason, not dealing with "bureaucrat-logic" and the old woman had never handled anything at all outside the home in all their lives and was a bit confused at the best of times. They were pensioners and lived on "the smell of an oily rag". It seemed that the car had been parked in their driveway and one night was stolen and taken for a "joy ride" but was never reported stolen mainly because the next afternoon their son had spotted the car in a nearby paddock, and picked up his father and they went down and got the car. It was nearly a month later that the "ticket" arrived, but it was clearly for the date that the car would have been stolen. The son wrote to the "transport department" on behalf of his father, but do you think that this explanation was accepted, or believed? No, of course not, they got a very sarcastic, nasty reply, accusing them of lying and making up stories. The old man contacted the "community law centre" and they advised him: "it would be cheaper, and less stressful, in the long run, to just pay the ticket". The only evidence that the car had, in fact, been stolen was that it had the seat moved as forward as it could get (thereby indicating that a young teenager was probably responsible) and the front of the car was a bit dented and muddy. The old man could not have done that as he was a very careful driver. However, after stressing over it for a while the old couple duly paid the price of the "ticket" and "penalties". To do meant, of course, that they had to go without food for a few days. This, in my mind, was extortion by the government from some of the most vulnerable people in society. Since then I have heard of other horrible stories. These are always well publicised but, with the many "sheep" praising speed cameras and surveillance cameras, the extortion continues. Actualy the price of apealing was one local telephone call Personaly if I someone came to me and asked for help because they had a speeding ticket that was not theres based on a car theft that tehy had either not reported or waited til the following afternoon to report it, I would be suspicous too. Even if it was the truth, In these days the odds are against them.

I don't drive crazy. You misinterpret speed for recklessness; the two are not necessarily the same. My example was an extreme one, though. Again, having to take the time to appeal a ticket you would never have gotten had a parking attendant seen you, is a good reason to ditch the camera. Frankly, I have better things to do than wait around to appeal a ticket, perhaps you don't. My point, though, is that we are too reliant on technology; it makes the human component lazy. Technology should serve us, not the other way around. Yes I agree that we should not serve them. However I will admit that I could be classed as one of the lazy ones. I am the type that pays the cleaner to do my dishes and clean my house because I cannot be bothered doing it myself Oh how I would love a robot that did that Robots do what they are programed to do. People on the other hand can be difficult to work with! There is a vacum cleaner however that works on its own. Thats not bad. I am also in luck regading parking tickets. If I catch the warden putting one on my car,I just speak to them in english. Sometimes they cannot be bothered with the hasle and let me go. It happens with the older norwegians often in other area,s too because they dont understand english too well

Sadly the problem with voting gouvernments in and out is that they can never guarentee that they will do what you think they will do. I remember all the promises Maggie made to the scots and just how many of those were filled or forgot But of course we got to vote for somebody and just hope I guess I also wonder if the british police force are as happy about being unarmed as the public are You mentioned house prices. Over here an apartment for 75 sq m goes for 2 million norsk kroner 82113.1118 GBP as long as its not in the city. A newspaper costs

There are never enough police to do the job Policemen cannot be everywhere Camera,s show you what happens as apposed to what a policeman tells you he saw Camera,s are not supposed to make judgement calls? Maybe this discusion should be based on where camera,s should be placed and where not to place them

How can we or anyone look at terorism as anything but a major problem. If its alowed to escelate then it will only get worse. After going to war on Iraq and not finding WOMD. The world has changed. People say its because Assama bin laden atacked the twin towers, But he has been trying to do that or worse for years. I think one of the reasons people are more afraid than ever of terorism is because the western world has its hands tied after Bush found nothing in Iraq. Now N. Korean and Iran are happily on the way to joining the WOMD club. Probably many countries to follow because now even the USA and Britain and anyone in general is afraid to rock anyone else,s platform. Now world leaders have meetings after meetings after meetings and third world countries are playing on this.

I am from Scotland, But live in Norway and do you know that people get away with just about anything they want in Norway when it concerns crime and traffic in particular. But in Scotland its much tougher because they have camera,s everywhere. Even on top of traffic lights and in all the major cities and some of the towns too. Its a great Idea because it stops people from tailgating and running red lights ect. If you don,t have a camera nearby and you report a traffic violation or a break in, what do you think the chances are of someone actualy being charged are? Add a few camera,s here and there and that problem gets solved fast As for policemen with camera,s on there helmets. Sure why not. I want one in my car too

Ok here is what I found out. Includes Joels apology letter,His ministries statement of beleif and a link to an investigators report about Joel,s ministry. Dear Friend, Many of you have called, written or e-mailed regarding my recent appearance on Larry King Live. I appreciate your comments and value your words of correction and encouragement. It was never my desire or intention to leave any doubt as to what I believe and Whom I serve. I believe with all my heart that it is only through Christ that we have hope in eternal life. I regret and sincerely apologize that I was unclear on the very thing in which I have dedicated my life. Jesus declared in John 14; I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father but by me. I believe that Jesus Christ alone is the only way to salvation. However, it wasn

Exposing the truth is not judging. Christians need to be aware of wolves in sheeps clothing. My Web Blog Yes and you will find many in church! Does anyone know of a time other than this larry king meeting where he has defended or tried to explain himself about this?
