First off, I'd just like to say that I don't think i'm an interpreter of dreams, I don't claim to interpret dreams in any capacity, but I have no doubt God speaks through them, and sometimes one comes along in my sleep that I can't help trying to decipher. However, I cannot and will not put words into God's mouth-- unless I am absolutely sure, with much confirmation (and i'm never afraid to ask) that it's truly Him speaking to me, I always tell myself it's only human assumption and I might be wrong. Anyway, I'll tell you what I thought of the two glasses on the table, the bowl and the pitcher. There were two glasses, not one, so maybe part of the test was to see if you'd pour yourself a glass first (did you feel thirsty)? This could have been a test to see if you would act selfishly (which you apparently didn't.) Also, not poisoning her was definitely the right thing to do.. but could it have also implied a test of your trust? As in, you trusted her to let you pass once you gave her the water? I don't really know this for sure, it's just coming to me as I go along... It seems too shallow like that, to be an interpretation of any sort. Most likely, if the dream was truly from God, it's got a deeper meaning-- in the setting of ancient Japan, the size of the room, the glasses being on the table, the poison being in the bowl rather than in the pitcher, the blindfold, and most of all, your spontaneous urge to pour water from the pitcher into the bowl... Okay, I really feel like I might be onto something. Just don't think I'm sure about any of it, because I'm not. Perhaps the woman symbolized someone in need. Before you found out anything, you poured the water from the pitcher into the bowl. That might be important later. Since she was blindfolded, this could symbolize that she put herself completely at your mercy-- you could have poisoned her, or helped her. This seems like a dilemma, since one way she would die or at the least be incapacitated and you would be free of a potential threat. On the other hand, you could help her, which would seem a more morally acceptable thing to do-- but would risk strengthening an enemy. The two glasses could symbolize that you could have put off the decision by helping yourself first (or desperately escape the pressure of the situation by drinking the poison yourself). Now back to pouring the water into the poison-- knowing you did that, you know you might have lowered the concentration of the poison. An unwise person might have thought that by doing this, you could choose both options at the same time. But you, a wise person, knew right away that no matter what benevolent action you did to accompany the malicious action, the malicious action was still wrong. You chose not to put it off, or take the easy way out, or attempt to poison her and be kind to her at the same time-- but to directly assist the woman in need, even though it could be a trick. Okay, this might really be crossing the line, but by looking at that, something's just coming to me... Now, if this were truly a message from God, and if He were revealing something in the future, I might think (from what i've observed), roughly, that someone who is a possible threat to you or is standing in your way (possibly a co-worker that has a position you want, or a wealthy person with you in their will) may hit hard times or bad health, and you have what it takes to help them... but since they're in your way, you might not want to help them. An opportunity might be arising for you to move away ("desperately escaping the situation,") or to do something you've been wanting to do ("helping yourself first.") Maybe then, (once again, if it's truly a message from Him), God is telling you that when the situation arises (whenever that may be)... do the right thing and help the person-- don't skip town on him/her, don't do something malicious to knock them completely down and out so you can have your way, and most of all don't think you can do something malicious but make it better by doing something "nice" (like a card or a "Sorry to hear about that..."). Do the right thing and help the person, so that you will be able to move on with your life. The obstacle course probably symbolizes your life at the moment. You said yourself you're having a hard time lately. I am not trying to be invasive but I searched your profile for clues about you and your MSN address is in Japanese. I'm fairly interested in Japan myself and I think you are too-- per my dictionary, the word amatsu means, in a sense, "heaven," and tome is a suffix that means "remaining". Perhaps our Lord, in His wisdom, was trying to communicate with you through a setting that you were interested in, and therefore would remember more clearly. This could have been the sole importance of it being set in Japan. Remember, however... these are only my thoughts and the results of my exploration. Although I must admit I had a strong sense of "knowing what I was talking about," I don't want to put words in God's mouth-- dreams are naturally weird like this sometimes. However, what I said is probably good advice anyway-- if something like that comes along, do the right thing and help the person. When it comes to situations like that, you've gotta remember the famous Christian clich

Ash, I heard something on the radio I'd like to share with you. If you can't find a Bible go to BibleGateway.com, there you can look up a bible passage. John chapter 21 tells us all about how our Lord Jesus accepts us no matter WHAT. Earlier on, Jesus told Peter that before the rooster crowed, Peter would deny Jesus three times. Peter swore up and down he wouldn't... but he did. He lied to the face of our Lord, he denied our Lord, which has to be one of the worst sins ever, i mean come on, he sinned to the face of God Himself! Now getting back to John chapter 21. Peter felt terrible about what he did, so he decided to get it off his mind by returning to his old life, as a fisherman. He got a few of the other disciples to go with him fishing in the Sea of Tiberias. They went out and fished.... and fished, and fished. However, they didn't get ANYTHING. Then, someone called out to them. Keep in mind, they didn't know who it was! The voice asked them if they had caught anything. They hadn't! What is this? Peter, a professional fisherman, hadn't caught ANYTHING! Then the voice said to throw the net on the right side of the boat. They did, and they caught SO MANY FISH, that they couldn't even pull them in at first! Surely this was very strange... but then, one of the disciples called out, "It is the Lord!" JESUS had told them to do this! JESUS had rewarded Peter, even AFTER he betrayed him! Peter jumped into the water, and Jesus said to bring the fish to shore. The disciples towed the fish to shore, and Peter climbed aboard and dragged them onto the shore. There Jesus had a fire burning, and He said, "Bring some of the fish you have caught." Then.... he invited them all to breakfast. Peter had denied Jesus, but that didn't matter... Jesus still accepted him. Ash, Romans 3:23 states that "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Do you think God is surprised when we fail? No, He isn't. He knows we will, because we are human, we are not God. You have failed, Ash, and you will fail again, but GOD LOVES YOU NO MATTER WHAT! That is something you can't deny. You can't say "I'm not worthy of forgiveness" or anything like that. You AREN'T worthy, but neither is ANYONE! However, through God's grace, and through the love of Christ, we are forgiven anyway! Know this always, that no matter what God will always forgive you, if you'd just ask. Don't let the enemy do this to you. You have to tell the enemy to go away. Pray that the Lord will give you the strength, and then tell Satan, "In the name of Christ, go away from me!" You must have faith, sister, that the Lord will guide you! If you need someone to talk to... i'll give you my email address, kristano_esperanta(at)nerdshack(dot)com. I have faith that God will heal your heart. You must know that you are valuable. Just know that. You mean something to the Lord and that's all that matters. He loves you. He loves you... not just everyone with one single love, but He loves us ALL individually, with the personal love that surpasses that of a friend, a lover, or a parent... Jesus loves you, sister, and that alone is enough to give your life meaning. I will pray without ceasing for you. Please know that you are loved. Hugs in Christ!

Witches and evil spirits are real, there is no doubt. The Bible says clearly that these evils do indeed exist. On the "ghosts," the gray visual sightings people see everywhere (in the White House, for example, some people think they see Lincoln).... I do not believe they are spiritual beings, but rather, an impression left in the spacial dimensions when the fabric of time twisted itself. Time is the fourth dimension, and as it moves forward, aspects of the 3 spacial dimensions change. I can, at this point in time, be here typing. However, in a few minutes, I will be in my bed. At this point in time, however, I am here, and if we as humans had unlimited access to perception of time, if we went back to this exact second, I would be frozen here, with my fingers on the keyboard. As the three spacial dimensions (length, height, width... x, y, z) can be twisted by multidimensional forces such as gravity, so can time, so in co-operation with those facts, my theory is that a "ghost" (as horror-movies and scary documentaries portray them) is a semi-visible, semi-perceptible (some people feel really cold when these sightings occur, this is why) impression left on the 3 spacial dimensions by the twisting of time caused by a force undiscovered by the human race. We don't know everything, and we're not supposed to... I think we've gone too far with science as it is, so I seriously hope some scientist-by-profession out there doesn't find my theory and try to prove it... lol. This is only what I see to be a foolproof explanation of what's going on when people see/hear/feel ghosts. Whoa! A bit... off topic, maybe.... sorry...

Hardcore Christian Music, whats your opinion on it?
Kristano Esperanta replied to Joshua-777's topic in Apologetics
Your statement is illogical. It is the faith behind it that counts. Who are we to say God loves certain music and hates another? I listen to it, and quite frankly I love it.... If someone blasts Christian metal and loves the Lord and expresses it with that kind of music, I see that as much better than someone who sings hymns every Sunday and doesn't truly love Jesus. Christian lyrics set to hardcore music is no less Christian than Christian lyrics set to classical music. Not to tear anyone down, I have no negative intent toward anyone here, and I love everyone here, but I can't help but saying... who are you, to say what God likes, and what he dislikes? You are severely mistaken, if you think you can make statements like that. Unless you show me the stone tablet God sent you saying "Thou shalt not glorify My name with loud music," I'm going to tell you you're wrong. Burn it? Burn it?!?! That is a most wonderful idea-- burn it to CD's, and give copies to everyone I know at school who's never heard it before.
