  1. It has everything to do with the Gospel. A mere man could not die for the sins of the world. If Jesus is not God, then he is no different than Mohammud or Buddha. He is nothing more than a good teacher. You still have not dealt with Jesus' own admission that He is God. I agree, a mere man could not atone for the sin of the world. But he was not a mere man. So, incase you are wondering what I DO believe of Jesus I will say this. I believe and proclaim that Jesus is the one and only true son of God, conceived of God's spirit, born of a virgin, inheriting the righteousness of God with all the attributes of perfection attributed to the Father, and without sin or blemish. I have no hesitation in saying He is my Lord & Saviour. You have just defined Him as God, but reject Him as God. That is a strange way your mind works. Jesus could not have the perfect attributes attributed to the Father and not be God, because God says, there is no one like Him. So for Jesus to have God the Father's attributes would make him like God. Furthermore, because you obvious don't know Hebrew, you don't understand what "Son of God" means. It does not mean that Jesus is the offspring of God. It is a title that denotes equality, in Hebrew. One has to some mighty fancy theological gymnastics to get around the Bible. If Jesus is your Lord and Savior, howcome you don't believe Him when He says He is God? Jesus caled him self "Son of man" , that kind of means is equal to us then, doesn't it? Yes he was again 100% man and 100% GOD. Son of Man and Son of GOD, he was GOD incarnate, and a man (John 1:1; 1 Timothy 2:5) also called the hypostatic union for you theologians .
  2. We didn't say it... He said it... John 8:24 "I told you that you would die in your sins; if you do not believe that I am the one I claim to be, you will indeed die in your sins." Yep even more. Isaiah 9:6 "For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." John 9:35-39: 35 Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when He had found him, He said to him,
  3. Jesus was 100% Man and 100% GOD. He prayed to the father to show that he was still a man, and Paul calls him not only a man but also GOD: 1 Timothy 2:5 "For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus." And, Romans 9:5 "of whom are the fathers and from whom, according to the flesh, Christ came, who is over all, the eternally blessed God. Amen." Revelation 1:8
  4. How is it possible that it is coinsided? If free will defined is: 1. Free and independent choice; voluntary decision. How could they coexist? Unless God the Father foreknew our decision of hearing the Truth, and then choose us to hear it, and be made justified by our Faith, not that we deserve the Precious blood of Jesus in any way. 1 Peter 1:2 "elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ." Now you see what Peter just said in v.2? "Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father..." If the Lord knows that we would except this priceless gift, that we in no way deserve" then wouldn't he predestine our lives so that one day we would hear the Gospel and believe it? according to God the Father's foreknowledge of it? Romans 8:28-29 " 28And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. "
  5. The only criticism I would have for TULIP is "U - Unconditional Election" and I am sure that this has been brought up alot when discussing the 5 points, but if I am interpreting this correctly, The chief implication of this doctrine is that God is responsible for souls that are lost in hell, but how is it in 1 Timothy 2:3-4 & 2 Peter 3:9 God desires all men to be saved? 1 Timothy 2:3-4 "3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth." 2 Peter 3:9 "The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. And if God has arbitrarily predetermined every individual's ultimate destiny, aren't we essentialy robots, incapable of affecting our eternal future?
  6. No man who belongs to the father continues deliberately sinning, if he does he is being led astray. And we are still sinful because of our flesh, until we receive our resurrection bodies (Philippians 3:21). And one who claims to be without sin is deceiving himself, and the truth is not in him (1 John 1:8) Elaborate this "view" please if you can.
