  1. LOL...throwing him under the bus??? How could I throw him under the bus? I don't think there was a bus. I think I'll take this opportunity to say "I TOLD YOU SO!" After a 15 minute hearing in which the gov't called no witnesses and offered NO objections to grant asylum to Mosab...he easily got what he was seeking. All the hype, all the grandstanding, all the international attention...and it was simply a routine hearing required by law. LOL! Make sure you buy the book about how he took on the US gov't!
  2. C'mon...we're not talking about a newspapers ideological viewpoint or the conflict. We are talking about Haaretz doing an interview and quoting the source of their article in discussing his dismissal from his position. He's discussed it with other news sources as well. Here you are berating Haaretz for not being an accurate source...and yet they are not the ones who are misrepresenting Captain Loai's departure the way Arutz Sheva did. LOL...well, maybe it speaks to the bad judgement of "G" for going and doing an interview with them in the first place??? Fact is, he made the decision to speak with them and give them direct quotes that imply his relationship with Mosab "diverted" him "from the path he had chosen" and led to his removal from Shin Bet. At the very least it requires thoughtful consideration. What I think isn't any more important than what you think...because neither of us knows all the details. I simply approach things with caution. I listen to the guy and alot of the stuff he says is ridiculous to me...so sue me. I don't believe that he ran the Shin bet, that they worked for him. I don't believe that he could live easily in Palestine. I don't believe that he knows more about Islam than anybody else.etc, etc, etc. I think he is selling books...he is good at it...and I applaud him. It has absolutely NOTHING to do with the fact that his lone witness was dismissed by Shin Bet for shady financial dealings...which was my only point in joining this thread. I haven't said one thing that would lead a person to think I have any negative feelings for Mosab himself...he's living the American dream. I think you are desperately trying to goad me into an argument by making ridiculous and condescending statements and lies about me. I regret to inform you, I am at peace and won't fight with you.
  3. Oh geesh! It was said in jest...thus the "lol" at the start. Actually, I thought I put a " " in there too... I musta missed it. I ain't hatin' on nobody!
  4. LOL! Yes, they are all of that...until they write something that people around here agree with. Haaretz is quoted fairly often around these parts by people...when it suits them... ..and it should be pointed out that he chose to do the interview with Haaretz and was quoted discussing his dismissal.
  5. Watch your tone, there is NO reason to attack me! I do not wish Mosab to be deported...in fact, I don't think there is a chance he will be. I think this is just another story he is concocting that is unverifiable and full of sensational half-truths. It'll prolly sell a few books even. I guarantee that if this man (Capt. Loai) was trying to vouch for Obama and he had shady financial dealings that had him removed from his position in the gov't...people here wouldn't let it go about how relevant his record was. By all accounts, Mosab did good work for Israel, and is considered by many to be a brave man. I have no problem with that so I'm not sure why you should want to attack me. Whether or not Mosab knows anything about Islam...or what he speaks on that issue..isn't the point of this thread. All I did was correctly point out that the man didn't voluntarily leave his position...he was dismissed. Sorry if the facts ruffle some feathers...
  6. Israeli security is actually pretty silent on the matter... Captain Loai ("G") speaks of his dismissal himself and has said it was probably justified. He said, ""Something in my acquaintanceship with Mosab diverted me from the path I had chosen." You can't blame that on Israeli security misinformation tactics...thats from the man himself.
  7. You misunderstood me a bit. I don't doubt (or judge) his salvation, nor that he did something for Israeli Security. I think that he promotes himself too highly, and its entirely unbelievable for me to accept everything he says as truth. He is building all these stories in a vacuum in which he knows nobody can (or will) break protocols to unravel the real truth. But if you want to believe that the Shin Bet put aside their agenda's and worked for him (or any other outrageous claim he makes) then you are exactly the audience he is trying to reach. Because there is a big difference in reporting and implying that "he left" the service on his own...and the truth that he was dismissed because he did something shady. He and Mosab did something that got him dismissed from the service...and now he shows up to be the lone man to verify the story. It just gives me pause....
  8. Would you please supply your source? lol...are you calling me a liar?? my source the source of my source
  9. Just to clarify...its been reported that he was dismissed by the Shin Bet over financial matters. Personally, I think Mosab is a self-promoting genius...and this entire deportation issue sounds like more of the same from him.
  10. Funny you should mention that. Ironically, oil leaks naturally from the ocean floor too... In the Gulf of Mexico it leaks alot...all the time. Up to 5000 seeps have been recorded by scientists in the Gulf. It's nothing new...
  11. I know your not naive... In this case, you have to know that BP was in an impossible situation sitting in a room with the very people who have publicly stated they are considering prosecuting them legally. This gov't did the exact same thing with the banks, with the housing industry, and with Chrysler...sign, or else! Its not like they don't have a track record. Legal ploy? What the hell kind of a legal ploy is it to give away controlling interest in your company??? LOL! BP barely has a pulse. They have already lost 50% of their market cap, and once their shareholders understand they are not gonna get paid...which they just found out...they are gonna bail too. BP may not survive this. And with a $20 billion dollar lean against the company...guess who owns it? This wasn't a legal ploy. This was sitting in a room with the US President and the US Attorney General telling them to give us your company...or else you are going down with it. Every single American should be appalled at the way our gov't is running!
  12. HA! More like "Do it...or else." Obama doesn't negotiate...we learned that when he couldn't get Netanyahu to go along with his "requests." We are talking about a President who is bending the rules of the constitution in every way...and you are not naive enough to think that BP would just give $20 billion to the US Gov't because they really wanna help out.
  13. Since when does the President have the authority to order a private company to do anything like this? This guy sounds less like a President, and more like a dictator, everyday.
  14. Common sense says that a guy with the opportunity and the motive during the elections checked into it...and came up with nothing on Obama being born in Hawaii. He has gone on the record and his credentials are verified. And for the record...just because WND is the ONLY place that will tell the story doesn't make it false. This story didn't break on WND...this story broke elsewhere and WND is the only place that will investigate the President while the rest of the media sits on his lap waiting for a treat. Alot of people didn't believe Nixon was involved in Watergate for the exact same reasons you ignore this story.
  15. Kids have been celebrating the pseudo-holiday Kwaanza for some time in schools at Christmas...why no uproar? When you let everybody and their mother decide that their celebrations are just as important as traditional American celebrations (and that includes making kids sing Hannukah songs at Christmas)...then sooner or later Kwaanza, Ramadan, and Solstice festivals are gonna want in too. My kids are not permitted to participate in holiday choirs at their school because of the diversity ideology most schools have. Last year, I allowed my daughter to participate only because her 5th grade class only sang traditional American Christmas songs...and Feliz Navidad.
  16. I am starting to dislike all of you for reminding me how old I am...because I remember each and every one of these excellent choices.
  17. It doesn't say you have to like or support the antagonist. There are some bad guys that you just love to root against and hope they go down. BTW...Colonel Klink is an excellent choice! Who didn't love seeing that bumbling idiot and his laughable goons get out-smarted every week...lol. Haven't seen that show for years...
  18. 3. Colonel Miles Quartrich, Chief of Security at Hells Gate. Avatar. "Out there, beyond that fence, every living thing that crawls, flies or squats in the mud wants to kill you and eat your eyes for jujubes." 2. Darth Vader. He was the baddest of the bad for almost 20 years. Plus, he had had his own ominous theme music everytime he stepped on the scene. I was a kid and Vader left a big impression when he strangled that guy with his mind. 1. The Lich King. He is the current Biggest baddie in the World. No other medium of entertainment generates more income that WoW (no one even comes close.) With tens of thousands at any one time playing with one Ultimate goal...Kill the Lich King! Out of 11 million people...only 8000 or so have suceeded. Oh, he's a bad man.
  19. Hey Bro, The further one digs into any false religion they will begin to find satanic influences anathema to God's word. This is not exclusive to the Quran or the teachings of Mohammed. I am not for placating a false religion...but I am not above placating people. Especially people who are deceived. I also don't think that speaking the truth is a bad thing. However, how you speak the truth is a big deal. You can speak the truth with "both barrels" blasting, or you can speak the truth in love. For example, you said you just recently found out about Mohammed's marriage to Aisha and it sickened you. I think you could have approached the topic in numerous ways...without both barrels blasting. Why not ask them about it? How come they are okay with it? How do they reconcile that knowledge with what they know about Allah? Start a dialogue. Two things happen then...A) you learn about them and how they think, and B) you open them up to dialogue in a non-threatening way that may actually spark productive thought. There are a ton of angles to open dialogue with Muslims. The fact is that missionaries all over the world are finding great success in Muslim communities because they are drawn to our openness, they are drawn to our freedom in Christ, and they are drawn by the love they are shown. Christianity is a faith that the vast majority of Muslims have no concept of and they are drawn to it. They are more than used to religions that seek to impose themselves or force their ideological standards. Sorry for being so defensive, and harsh, earlier in the thread.
  20. You know what...I'm done. I really don't want to fight about Muslims...with Christians. I endure this battle in my spirit all the time. My mind tells me you guys are right...muslims are evil and we should be hitting them with "both barrels" all the time. But, for reasons that my mind cannot comprehend God gives me a strong desire for these people. I feel like Jonah sometimes. I don't want to care about Muslims...I really don't. It actually sometimes annoys me that I feel compelled to get drawn into these silly little debates. What they heck do I care if Bold Believer wants to poke fun at Mohammed and his clearly deceived followers. At the end of the day...I'm afraid of the "fish" that God could use to swallow me up if I'm not obedient. All I know is this... If you guys are right and someday I find myself with a knife to my throat...it won't be because I insulted them, or their beliefs. It will be because I tried to show the love of Christ, because I preached the Word of God. Sorry I fought with you guys...sorry! (I'm working on it, I promise)
  21. Well...considering his bigoted statements...and childish insults. I'd say I nailed it! I'd tell you to re-read the OP and tell me how exactly those comments jive with your understanding of the Holy Spirit.
  22. Sure...as soon as you tell me your testimony of how you led a muslim to the Lord by calling Mohammed a pedophile. I'd say the 'testimony' of the OP shows how lacking that strategy is...lol. Muslims know of Mohammed's marriage to Aisha. I mean, if your are desperate and you have to go there there are numerous ways to breach that subject without being insulting, or ignorant of history.
  23. How is speaking the truth "nonsensical insults"? Because it is nonsensical to take something that was common practice amongst many cultures of that time and apply modern standards to it ..and use it as an insult. Not to mention the fact that Mohammed's actions were not pedophilia by any modern standard. If you wish to accuse him by today's standards he would be guilty of 'child sexual abuse.' But again, it is just ridiculous to apply modern standards to culturally accepted norms of ancient times.
  24. I'm sorry but, yeah it is. It is no more effective than any of the cheap insults hurled at us by atheists. What truth will set men free? How will the truth that Mohammed married a child set Muslims free? You think they don't know who Mohammed's most precious wife was? Knowing that truth hasn't set them free yet. What makes anyone think that using that "truth" as a cheap insult will set them free? Maybe we should focus more on the actual "truth" that Jesus was referring to rather than school-yard cheap-shots. Of course, there are muslims who don't respect christians and attack the bible. But its not fair to make that a global assumption. I am generally not disrespected by muslims...but then again, I don't come across as the kind of Christian thats gonna call Mohammed a pedophile either.
