This could very well be a split in the Christian world If this be so, I wouldn't be surprised if the leaders of Islam are rubbing their hands together in glee The world needs to wake up to the threat of the Islamic spirit Islam is against anyone who is not Muslim and that "anyone" is a "somewhat" larger portion of the human race But, you know, in the end, God's plans will be the outcome of anything going on today I would suggest we join God's side in this battle

BB's government is a minority party. It got less than 50% of the seats. In fact Kadima was a bigger party but couldn't get a coalition together. BB managed but at a price. His coalition is made up of right wing parties, for the most part. They have been demanding all kinds of laws that have so far been avoided by BB. Now with Obama pushing from one side and the right wingers pushing from the other, BB is forced to pick sides. I am not sure that going more and more to the right is doing us any good. You see, if BB can give the US another two months freeze on the building, it won't make much difference to the talks because basically the Palestinians want everything or nothing, and that is not going to happen, but it will put Israel in a better position politically speaking. The right wing parties refuse to go along with this and threaten to break up the government. This is all a political game which is being dragged out in every which way to somehow postpone a military clash. Each side is trying to get something out of this game. BB thinks that two more months might get him a bigger piece of the cake It's all in the game. In the end, God's will, will be manifested You could say, this is my political view on things

Will a wounded Barack Hussein Obama recognize Palestine?
hupo replied to Matthitjah's topic in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict
Yep, you got it By the way "Kinneret" is derived from the word "Kinor" which means "violin" which is the shape of the lake (using a bit of imagination ) and how on earth did we get from Obama to violins ?? -

It is of little importance who replaces Abu Mazen. The real leaders are the religious extreme Muslims in the Arab world. All you need to do is look at Lebanon these days. As you say, the Palestinians are pawns in this "game". Israel makes concessions for political reasons, not out of faith that it will lead to any kind of peace. It's a game that needs to be played. It does have it's pluses which generally go by the saying "When people talk they don't shoot". I don't think we should understand it to be anything more than that. Psalm 83 and Hamas..... lets see what we have there............. Hmmmm.... King David (assuming he wrote this) was pretty angry with his enemies. I don't know too much about the NT and Yeshua in general but I find that "love your enemy" is more up his street. That is..... if we are forced to fight, we should do so, but also pray for our enemies salvation. Can you imagine the impact on the Muslim world if Achmedinejad or Nasrallah turn to Yeshua?! Whew...........God's glory would be explosive !! Much more so than if God destroyed them -

I don't know about Obama, he's a bit too "over there" for me Abu Abbas is going for these "peace talks" because he has been forced to. The Paletsinians and the Arab world in General do not want peace with Israel, at least not a permanent one. The peace they want, named "Tahadia" is in fact a kind of cease fire until the final goal of Islam is achieved. That final goal is "the great Islamic entity" which will rule the world. The state of Israel happens to be a "sore thumb" for Islam. If Israel exists as a state, it makes the Quran wrong and no Quran fearing Muslim can allow that. If anyone thinks the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is the key issue, as is presented everywhere, they are not seeing the truth of the matter. Islam will not relax until it has world control. It is something that countries should be aware of. Islamic terrorism didn't just happen. It's roots are in this Islamic agenda. Obama, BB, Abu Abas can say/do what they want, it will not make more than a slight break in Islam's march to their goal. This is a spiritual war with very physical implications (Terrorism etc) The Islam goal can be seen in the Hamas agenda very clearly. They are not hiding their ideology, nor is Iran's Achmedijejad. The rest are just playing the political game. -
That was step 1 Step 2 - Israel being the stronger of the two, should make an effort to stop the conflict Step 3 - Israel is not doing enough to stop the conflict Step 4 - If it wasn't for Israel there would be no conflict Step 5 - If Israel didn't exist there would be no terror in the world All that from someone considered a friend, so what on Earth do we need enemies for?!

We could probably do that (wipe out the Lebanese army) Should we? With no Lebanese army the Hisbollah will take over Lebanon and I'm not sure that is good for anyone except Hisbollah and Iran. Besides the fact that doing so will cause an escelation that will hurt everyone involved including Israel. I'm not sure that is a good option, but we may not have much choice....

Oh, no need for apologies. It isn't my thread. I'm a participant like everyone else here. There are bound to be different views on the issue. Shilo brought the facts as he knows them and they sound pretty accurate, unfortunately..... The main thing is that God is working and we can see His work, even if for us it is painfully slow But God has His timing and I do my best to put my trust in Him -

Well KatyAnn, I would say there is no conflict in what Shilo wrote and what I'm experiencing. There is all together too much hatred in the world and that is all from the enemy! Nowdays the hatred is coming from Fundamental Islam too. But there is this.... How would I know I am developing the Spirit's qualities (forgiveness, love etc') unless I am confronted with a situation that allows me to show (or not) forgiveness to an enemy? I find that close to impossible even within my (tolerant) community Rom 8:28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. -

My impression of what is going on is "Aslan is on the move" We've had bible study meetings in an Arab village. 50-50% Muslims & Christians Until recently we have had a meeting place in ZFAT too, the Kabalistic center! The couple running it have having a hard time getting back to the country, so it's on temporary hold. They tell me there are Messianic Rabbis in MEAH SHEARIM the stronghold of orthodox Judaism in Jerusalem! Hard to believe yet God has His ways and something is going on, for sure! By the way, if anyone here is planning a visit to Israel, let me know. We've met with several forum members on various visits -

Yes it is very true. The main group who are "saving Jewish souls" are "Yad LeAchim" (A helping hand to brothers). The small town of Arad is at the focus of their activities. We had friends there who are now back in the States, who have been through all kinds of ordeals. There were attacks on meeting places, one of which was burned to the ground. There were Messianics or Christians who were blamed for Missionary work, who were physically beaten up. We have friends who have been in Israel for many years now and are doing an amazing job with adolesent kids, Israeli, Palestinain and other countries. They were detained at the Airport and sat in jail until their country got involved and managed to release them. Again...."missionaries" was the excuse. It is very awekward staying in this country if you are not Jewish and even then, there are arguments as to who decides if you are a Jew or not. If I declare I believe in Yeshua, I could be declared officially non-Jewish. Someone from my own (very tolerant) community, asked me if I believe in yeshua and if I am Christian. My answer was that I do believe in Yeshua and I am Jewish and so was Yeshua....and a Jewish Rabbi at that! She didn't speak to me for about 3 years. But in case I have painted too black a picture. There is gathering interest in "this Yeshua". Another member of our community told me she doesn't have any problem with what I believe in, Judaism, Islam, Hinduizm etc...."just don't talk to me about Yeshua!". I didn't, and about 2 months later she came to me saying "You talk with everyone about Yeshua only to me you don't say a thing" - I reminded her of her request but she said...." Ah! I didn't mean it like that" So God has his ways of opening doors -

The only thing that isn't accurate is the number. I believe there are many more that are still "in the closet". Don't forget, there is not much sympathy for Messianic Jews amongst the Orthodox. Even secular Jews are not exactly overjoyed about this. My community tolerant as they may be, are not happy when I mention Yeshua. I do that on occasions but I don't wave it around. I feel people should see Yeshua through the way we live, and not through sermons, speeches and discussions. At least in my community. Yes, we do go by many of the Jewish customs and I don't see why not. After all Yeshua was a Jewish Rabbi, wasn't he? -

Gas masks are outdated and now they are giving them out for a price. Besides, gas masks are a protection for the moment. What happens when I need to eat, drink, anything else? When I said I don't want to be the last surviver, I had no intention of committing suicide. I have no intention of being wiped out either. I can allow myself to say all this because I know who is in control. Human beings can plan all they want. If God has other plans, THAT is what will happen. In short, rather than gas masks and judgment day shelters, I rather trust in God. The best Judgment day shelter I know Fresno Joe here has the right attitude and thanks for the reminder, Joe -

Phsychologically it sounds great. But I'm not sure I would want to be part of the 5000 when about 7,000,000 others die Sorry for pouring cold water on it but I have been through an intensive 3 week course during my army service and I just don't even want to think of the results Maybe I should just keep quiet about it -

Nebula It's just a matter of time before everything blows up into a full fledged war They have never given up on trying to get rid of us and we are not exactly going along with their wishes so..... I'm surprised this is all that is going on...... maybe someone has a bit of sense to realize the damage that will be inflicted on Gaza, Lebanon, maybe Iran, if they poke their nose into this mess I'll let you know when the rockets start flying seriously -

Well, why not go the whole hog? Here is a list of what Israel is responsible for: Israel is responsible for the Icelandic volcano erruption The Tzunami that drowned 200,000 people on that terrible Christmas Our genetic meddling was the cause for the extinction of the dinosaurs. A year was once a nice round 350 days until Israel got hold of it The "Bermuda triangle" is an Israeli plot to get rid of unwanted people (You didn't know that, did you?) Humpty Dumpty never fell off that wall. He was pushed by....guess who? Snow white was poisoned. You will never guess who was behind it all Nasrallah, is actually a Mosad agent..... on vacation. Don't be angry, he's just letting his hair down a bit. This is just a very short extract from a very long list -
WN: Rocket explodes in heart of Ashkelon - Ynet News
hupo replied to WorthyNewsBot's topic in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict
Please keep us updated. Unfortunately everything is connected to everything in the middle east The rockets could have been fired as a diversion for what is happening in Lebanon. Asad has just added his support to the Lebanese government which means he no longer supports Hisbollah (in the internal Lebanese politics) That means Hisbollah are isolated from Iran if Syria stops the flow of arms through it's territory. On top of that Hisbollah are being accused by an international court of the assasination of Hariri, the late Lebanese PM So Hisbollah are driven into a corner and a diversion could be the only way out for them. A diversion could be the rockets in Sinai or even war with Israel on the Northern border Gets complicated from day to day -

What I am getting now is that there was at least one rocket fired at the American HQ in Sinai (just south of the Gaza strip) It's been hushed up for whatever reason, probably for Mubarak's stability in Egypt.
