  1. According to our media there are 6 IDF wounded. One officer thrown to a lower deck then stabbed in the stomach. One has a broken scull bone from a blow on the head. one shot in the knee (SHOT mind you - by peace activists), the others I don't know. By the way, the CNN have it wrong, there was NO IDF soldier killed!
  2. The way the non-muslim countries are taking it, the whole world will be muslim soon.....except..... .... Except for one thing .... It is God who has the final say!
  3. Not just antisemetism. Islam is very much against christianity too
  4. If that was the only problem, there would be no problem. You need to understand we are defending our lives here! The US and western allies went all the way to Iraq, Afganistan etc to combat the terrorists. Do we have to stay home and wait for them to bomb us? No one is saying we are perfect. We make mistakes same as everyone else. Trouble is we get blamed for anything we do to protect ourselves!! That is not acceptable!
  5. With all due respect to what the nations say...... I'm waiting to hear what God has to say With all due respect to what the nations say...... I can't say I have too much of that (respect) So above the clamor of the nations, this is what I hear....... Psa 2:1 Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain? Psa 2:2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD and against his Anointed Psa 6:10 All my enemies shall be ashamed and greatly troubled; they shall turn back and be put to shame in a moment. Psa 9:15 The nations have sunk in the pit that they made; in the net that they hid, their own foot has been caught. Psa 20:7 Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God. Psa 23:4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. Psa 31:3 For you are my rock and my fortress; and for your name's sake you lead me and guide me;
  6. I'll probably be clobbered for saying this but I'm sorry they didn't sink the ship!!
  7. Is the UN that stupid, to give Achmedinijad such a present?
  8. Every now and then there is a light in the political darkness A journalist with strength of conviction. Pretty amazing
  9. I guess you mean This link? We have our own radicals, right wing and left. Uri Tuval sounds like an extreme left winger. Most in Israel are between the two political poles. Most in Israel are disgusted that someone can say what he says about a family that lost two of their sons in an ongoing war that allows the likes of him (Uri Tuval) to have the ability to write what he writes. These two sons that were killed have allowed us to have a democracy with freedom of the press. Uri Tuval should at least respect that! He said "I don
  10. If he topples Netanyahu, he might get Faiglin (Ultra right wing). Then we will all be walking around with "Shtraimels" like black penguins
  11. WorthyBot says that Haaretz says that sources say that Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit said....... This can be summed up in one word...... GOSSIP
  12. It's just words which we each understand (misunderstand?) differently. What is important is the essence behind the words, not those strange little blobs of ink we see on paper (or pixles on a screen)
  13. God is in control and is sovereign over the whole earth and everyone and everything in it. Not everything happens according to the will of God, though. God allows things to happen that He does not will to occur, as I have previously demonstrated. Terrorism in Israel is just one example of what God allows to happen. My point was simply that we cannot say, "if God doesn't want it to happen it won't happen." If that were true, there would be no crime, injustice, oppression, poverty, sickness & disease, sin, or unrighteousness of any kind. Wording it like that, I have to agree with you, Yet my feeling is wyguy means it much the way you do, but now ....I think I'll give it a rest Thanks Shilo
  14. That is not exactly accurate. If what you were saying were true, no one would ever live outside the will of God. By your logic, a sinner rejecting salvation would be in the will of God, and that is plainly absurd. The will of God, objectively speaking is perfect. God permits man to choose to do the opposite, but murder is never within the will of God. Rape is never within the will of God and terrorism is never in the will of God. As for the verse out of Romans 8, It says that all things work togther for good to them that love God and are called according to his purposes. This verse is limited to the experience of the believer in terms of what follows after v. 28. In fact, the line of thought in chapter 8 of Romans pertains to the security of the believer and is not meant to be understood as an explanation of why bad things happen. So in effect, it is one of those verses that are often misused and misapplied to an issue that the author did not have in sight. No, it isn't like that at all. So every child that is abused/molested, every person who was murdered, every act of bigotry, oppression, terrorism, abuse, etc. is within the Will of God? Tell that nonsense to all of the Jewish mothers in Israel who have lost children on buses and playgrounds, that their child died because it was will of God to see them murdered. I agree with you Shilo, God's will is NOT: to have people molested abused murdered and blown up in buses It is OUR free choice that is the cause of all these horrible things But the only reason we have Free choice is because God gave it to us, and I think that is what wyguy is saying If that is not the case, then God is not in control over everything.......... How do you see it?
  15. Believe it or not but one of the Hamas leaders condemned the film What that means is any one's guess
  16. That was my whole point. Because God has a permissive aspect to His will, (allowing things to happen) then nothing truly can happen against His will. Looks to me we all agree and any friction here is just semantics...... no? It's like saying, God ALLOWS things to happen against His will... a paradox? Kind of obvious He is in control No, it is not exactly semantics. You said that peace will be achieved if God wants it. If peace is not achieved, you indicated that God did not want it. That is not reflective of permission but of perfect will. Your initial statement was about what God wants to happen, not about what God permits to happen. My English rhetorics are not perfect, what can I say? let me re-say it If peace will happen it is God's will. If peace does not happen, it is still God's will that it WILL, but above that HE allows us free choice that allows for no-peace God's will is set for peace. God's will is also set for our free choice and that free choice allows for no-peace God always wants peace. God allows for no-peace through our free choice. Shilo, we both agree that God is in control, don't we? I hope I haven't made it any more complicated.....
  17. That was my whole point. Because God has a permissive aspect to His will, (allowing things to happen) then nothing truly can happen against His will. Looks to me we all agree and any friction here is just semantics...... no? It's like saying, God ALLOWS things to happen against His will... a paradox? Kind of obvious He is in control
  18. Yes, God allows many things to happen that he would rather not (have happen) God set His priorities such that His will, will be done, but before that comes the gift of free choice HE gave us. We, naturaly mis-use it and hence all the murder cases and such God could have made it impossible for us to murder, but HE didn't God's priorities.....not ours Personally, I trust HE knows what HE is doing
  19. Yeah, but if it wasn't for the political tango, I'd never get to dance! Don't get me wrong wyguy, of course we need the political tango, but it is still controlled by God so we needn't waste energy concentrating on it In other words, we should trust God to manage world politics too. I'm pretty sure HE knows what HE's doing
  20. Hey you guys, You should trust God a bit more on this If HE wants us to have peace with the Palestinians, we will. If not, we won't Faith is what we need to concentrate on, not the political tango
  21. Yeah, I'm disappointed too but I don't see that getting to the news
  22. That's great, Hupo. But what if the Lord decides to judge this nation (USA)? If Obama forces a division of Jerusalem - our nation is in for a whopper. That is what I am praying for, that mankind will adhere to God's plans and then He won't need to judge anyone I think God would rather He didn't have to judge people harshly I know....doesn't look very likely, but HE is in control......... (BTW, by mankind I mean....including our enemies. Can you imagine the party in heaven if Achmedinijad turns to God??!!)
