Iran Nuclear Site Could Pose Test to U.S., Israel Ties
hupo replied to nebula's topic in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict
I think the point is being missed all over. It's not "they" that have to worry. Does the world really not see?! A nuclear power that is willing to wipe out countries. Says so openly and the world reacts "We should talk"??!! The world is going to be in for quite a shock, unless it does something to stop this madness. -
Synogogue uncovered where menorah carving found

Very strange. I live less than 30 minutes away and havn't heard anything about it Usually these things hit the news in big letters -
Yes, we are pushing the boundaries. In fact I don't think we're pushing enough! The Palestinians have yet to accept one simple thing and haven't done so for the past 61 years - to recognize our right to exist!! Until that happens, we shouldn't be compromising anything The world seems to think that is too much to ask of them. My bet is, the world would give a sigh of relief if we suddenly vanished off the face of the earth....in a "humane" way of course, not to be as vulgar as Iran's Achmedinijad. Maybe just go quietly drown in the sea? Hello world, we are seriously considering it

Former Israeli prime minister Olmert indicted
hupo replied to nebula's topic in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict
Unfortunately this prophecy is coming true and Olmart is not the only one! Isa 1:23 Thy princes are rebellious, and companions of thieves: every one loveth gifts, and followeth after rewards: they judge not the fatherless, neither doth the cause of the widow come unto them. -
The 14 Lies Blocking Peace in the Middle East
hupo replied to nebula's topic in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict
It's a strange setup and a very deceiving one unless, like the article says, you care to look into the history of this so called "Palestinian" issue I've never been a political activist but have been through several stages of political views, some totally contradicting my way of living. There was a long period where I believed the left in Israel were the "peace lovers" and the right were "war mongers" Went through many heavy debates siding with, what I believed to be "the right and human" thing to do Some 30 years of army duty, several wars, and many terrorist attacks later I can see that the "Palestinian people" are just a bunch of pawns being used by the greater Arabic nation that includes the whole of the middle east, north africa, west Asia and more. It is amazing that a little pin-point dot on the map is causing so much racus in the so called Arab world. It has nothing to do with Palestinians. In fact, many contacts I've had over the years with, what the world likes to call "Palestinians" have brought me to the conclusion that they themselves know that the real catastrophy is yet before them, and that is the day they will have a Palestinian state! Many have told me how much they fear that day but cannot express it for fear of death. Israel is fortunate to have all her enemies around her. I know that sounds crazy but ... A. it keeps the Israeli people united (as much as is possible) B. it gives the Arab world a reason to disagree with everything we say and in so doing, stops us from shooting ourselves in the leg by making all kind of ridiculous concessions So Israel "turning right" is apparently the right thing to do This might sound bad to those who think they are doing the right thing for the so called Palestinian people but in the long run they will be better off with a strong solid Israel. Just my two-cents What is really needed of course, is, turning Godwards, and that will come too. I don't think we even have a choice. It's God's will that will be done -

How is this connected to the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict ? Well, I'm talking to a robot....... -
That was the what the mandate proposed. The Jews agreed. The Arabs didn't buy it. Opened a war from all directions. Got clobbered and are moaning about it ever since. and by the way, since then, they have never missed an opportunity to miss an opportunity for getting a state (as is proposed nowdays). They will probably miss this one too as they want everything or nothing. I've been here all my life and have no intentions of leaving. Sorry

No objection really, just sounds weird that almost nothing mentioned when people get killed on a regular basis but when there is a "lull" , suddenly it's news I guess I just don't understand the media and the rating system It's almost like car accidents, being regarded as "natural death" - they happen too often to be of any news value
