Come to think of it, Messianic Jews don't seem to go for regular churches. We have a fellowship (rather than church) in an arab village near us and the only stained glass we have is if we don't wash the windows . From what I've seen of churches it must be quite awesome, praying there. Having said that, it seems people get closer to God when they are outside. Thanks for your response

I don't always do this but something compelled me to look "behind the scenes".... you have one amazing testimony. Why don't you put it out there as a testimony post? It could be such an encouragement to others who are struggling in life. God has really taken you under His wings, hasn't He? God is good, all the time God bless you both

Jenny, thank you for posting this. It is so touching and i'll let you into a secret.... . men are "not supposed to cry" , right? well I did. Yes I have seen this before but I guess one has to be "ready" to read it in the right spirit before it has any effect. God bless you for posting this

People have different ways of talking with God. I thought it would be interesting to find out what ways people use. Good times for me are while working in the garden or driving alone on a long trip. Hiking makes for a good heavenly chat too. But the best is when I ride my mountain bike up the hill to Zfat. God really clears up things for me then. This morning for example,He showed me the positive side to tribulations. Going uphill is a kind of physical "tribulation". While riding, there are many times I wish I could be in a nice warm bath instead The end of the ride is a wonderfull view of God's creation, and a booster-prize, going home downhill all the way with the wind in your face. So tribulation is there for a reason. I also have an email address called "aba@......." where I write emails to God. It's fun. Try it

How do you know if your ancestors were Jewish? What if they came to this country and changed their religion and hid their Jewish past? I have family from, Germany, Austria, Romania. . . I have no idea what religion they were. I assume some were Catholic, but only because some of them are Catholic now. But really I don't know. We don't rightly know. This seems to be one of the biggest issues going, well, in Israel anyway. You see, the basic concept is that Israel is a home for the Jewish people which gives any Jew anywhere, the right to immigrate to this country. This in turn causes a lot of headache for the authorities as anyone can say he is a Jew and get all the benefits as a new immigrant. The topic of "Who is a Jew?" is an ongoing issue and is seen as something relevant to our very existance as a state. Being a Jew is not just relegion. There are many Israelies who are Jews but are anything but religious! There are research centers that do exactly what you would think one should do in these cases. They check out family trees, history, legal documents and various citizen lists from every country. There are arguments about the Russian immigration. Are they all really Jewish or are they just taking advantage of it all? The Falashmura or Etheopian immigratin pose another hugh debate. Then of course there is the question: what of a gentile marrying a Jew? How do we conceder Children born in the country who are of gentile parents? Big, big, topic ......

I've been following this topic with much curiousity and have come to two conclusions:- 1. We will never know the truth about God's gender from this discussion 2. We can learn so much about ourselves, regarding this topic Looking at the stats I see that God is concedered "Male" or "Male Plus" by 77.4 % of the voters. Only 23.3 % think of God as "Female amongst other genders" God might be an yet unknown gender for all I know. After all Gender is a human defenition. The stats could show that most of the voters are male. It could also show that the voters are unknown gender but schuvenistic. There are 31 votes in all which could mean that most people don't regard this topic as relevant. Like I said we could learn a lot about ourselves but almost nothing about God. God bless this forum I love it! It's so human

Sorry about that. I'll take it into account next time God bless

So, why must you take something simple and make it complex? Jesus is the King of Kings, not the Queen of Queens. Adam was created in the likeness of God. From Adam, God made Female. Simple really. I don't buy the "queen of queens" but you sure made me laugh Why I must make things complex is a question you should ask my shrink Now this.... Adam in the likeness of God and females made simple....whew boy! you are ruffling a hornets nest !! ( and it's an experiment in misquoting, so please forgive me ) How is that mis-quoted. Please show me how that is a mis-quote. 7And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul..... 21And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; 22And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. 23And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Not your mis-quote. I meant mine, misquoting you, just for a bit of humor:- you wrote: "Adam was created in the likeness of God. From Adam, God made Female. Simple really." and I mis-quoted you: "Adam in the likeness of God and females made simple" I'm sorry if you mis understood. I was just having a bit of fun

This is 1.5 years old but it's open so why not....? One of my daughters married into a family where the father is Ashkenazi and that is his family name. The mother is a Mizrachi which is a very common spharadic name. What this means is anyone's guess except that it gets me nearer to 100 posts so I can join some closed topics

If I was an archeologist I guess I would do some calculations. The one I would realy go for is ... how large was Pharoh's army? how big was each chariot? how many horses for each chariot etc..... as they ALL drowned, they all had to be on that path that God opened up. Now depending on where exactly that path was opened, we could calculate the length. We may be able to calculate how much space the Egyption army took up on that path and then get a good estimate of the width of that path. But, I am not an archeologist so all the above is just my two cents Blessings

Jesus was male and is Male. Jesus is God, so, simple answer. The answer is only simple if you say so, otherwise it is very complex So, why must you take something simple and make it complex? I Stand With Israel!
hupo replied to George's topic in What's the latest with the Worthy Ministries?
Hi there PF. You sound very "loving" to people who may or may not be saved ... yet. I like using the word "Yet". It gives hope. Don't you think? I happen to be an Israeli Jew who has been saved by Yeshua. Ten years ago I felt very alone but today I can tell you there are more and more Jews in Israel who are turning to Yeshua. I hear there are Palestinians in the refugee camps who are doing likewise, very undercover for obvious reasons. I have a personal friend who is the replacement pastor of my fellowship who happens to be an Arab. There are Rabbiis in "Me-ah Shaarim" (Ultra orthodox Jews) who are turning to Yeshua too. Would these be concedered a blessing in your eyes? Would they merit prayer, or would it just ruin your post here? Blessings -
In his book "A new model of the universe" The scientific phylosopher Ospensky talks of the dimentions of our reality. He starts with the 1, 2 and 3 dimensions we know. Goes on to the 4th dimention (time) and then goes onto quite an amazing theory of multiple dimensions we cannot as-of-yet comprehend. Without going into details I would sum up his phylosophy as a limit to what our minds can comprehend. We can develope and understand 4, 5 and even 6 dimensions but there is a limit. God is beyond the limits of time and space , and of our understanding......... This topic is unanswerable as far as I'm concerned. It is beyond us. Great topic for mental and spiritual acrobatics Thanks

The burden of proof only stands in the realm of logical science. You may not accept this but for me God exists and I can't prove it!! This is where Faith comes in. I don't need proof. Is there any scientific logic in Faith?

You took the words out of my mouth Ovedya. God is beyond physical gender. (by the way that was a missed option in the vote questions) what is male? what is female? apart of the physical I mean. When we know that we can answer the question "is God male or female". IN the forum and human discussions anywhere, we refer to God as He out of the need to say SOMETHING. The general agreement is to use the male term for God. I tried using plural as it is written in Hebrew (Elohim) and people didn't understand what I was on about. It would sound something like "God knows our hearts and THEY have a plan for us. In THIER plan there is room for all people as long as we recognize THEM as our saviour...." - For human beings to talk this way sounds a bit....off..... Interesting topic, Ovedya. Thanks and blessings

Couldn't resist one more post.... I feel this person that is the subject of this whole topic, needs prayer and not judgment. Father, In Yeshua's name I ask that you open this woman's eyes to see what it is YOU want.... What is YOUR plan for her... You are all knowing and You love Your children for what they are and not for what they do. Please Father have mercy on Your child and show her YOUR will. I ask too, that you show us how YOU would have us respond to people in such situations. In Yeshua's name Amen

I should have listened to you earlier Marnie. You are right it's getting rediculous. There seem to be two discussions going on in paralell and they are not going to meet. I'm getting off here. God bless

I agree with you, it would be the natural way to function in this world. That wasn't the topic though. A part of the OT was a question: "Is it offensive to God to be physically offensive to your fellow man?". God is not offended by our outer physical appearance, but by the attitude of our hearts. So, if I go dirty, not caring what people around me think or feel, my not caring is what is offensive to God, not the dirt . Blessings

OMG! forgive me but does anyone study the Bible? Simply go to the back of your book and search the word "cleanliness!" I think you'll find quite a bit on the subject. Remember, your body is a Temple, and if you expect God to live within you , you'd sure better give HIM a "Humble abode!" And a lot is said for one who does not keep his/her personals clean or is not organized or is just plain lazy. Granted, what you can't help can be forgiven and understood. Like someone who works hard and sweats or gets dirty, but only that should be for a brief time. Nobody's perfect, but you don't have to spend a bunch of money on expensive cologne. Moderately priced cologne works just fine, especially in the south, where it can get pretty hot and sweaty. Blessings Cajunboy What about all the people in the world who have no access to, or knowledge of, cologne? What happens when one's smell is offensive to some but quite acceptable to whatever culture they happen to be in? Garlic is real smelly isn't it? Personaly, I love the taste AND smell of garlic. But I wouldn't use it in this forum unless I knew everyone here loved garlic God bless
