Ever heard the saying: "Christians often shoot their own wounded"? Personally I think this is why Christians can seem superficial. They have been hurt by their own "family" too many times...and that causes shut down. I have seen people reach out for help and be hit over the head with the bible. We can support one another with the TRUTH of God's word. It's all in the manner in which we serve it.

Mik.... I appreciate your honesty about where you are at in your life right now. Best advice I can give you.... Stop looking for "the one", and you WILLl find her!! Sometimes we get so caught up in searching, that we can perhaps miss the obvious. My wife and I found eachother when both of us had went through bad relationships and had all together stopped searching. We started out as friends.... and that grew into a bonding marriage. You will find her... or she will find you. Just hang on. God Bless you!

Work in Progress.... thank you for posting this link A friend of mine has already been sending mail... and I am preparing to send a letter as well. I believe that when you contact this site, they will translate for you. We need to remember EVERYDAY that our brother's and sister's in Christ are inprisoned, beaten, burned and tortured standing in their faith for Jesus. Let us pray for them eachday-- and let them know that we have not forgotten them!!

LadyC... what a Beautiful tribute to your Dad. I also have no Father's Day card to send... My Dad died in 1990. I remember the last Father's Day card I bought for him, I knew it was going to be the last one because they had only given him 6 months to live (he lived for 3 months)... so it was a difficult time finding just the right one for him. We put everything into those last days with him... and I thank God for restoration and even for the times when we laughed in the face of what we knew would be out of our control. He and I use to sing "You are my sunshine".... and that is such a fond memory for me. And as silly as this sounds.... I love ketchup on scrambled eggs because that is how my Dad use to eat them. I miss him today.
