  1. My beliefs about the divine are uncertain or changing, but I don't believe that one must necessarily know about Jesus or believe in the Christian presentation of his character and message in order to go to heaven/eternal bliss/whatever. I believe the divine must be merciful, and such an exclusion to me would not be merciful (or understanding, or compassionate).
  2. Thats very well soft spoken of a deceitful propagandist. Who makes his fortune on lies. He is a propagandist, and I already stated he doesn't always get his facts right. But he still does raise some good points sometimes. What more would you like for me to say?
  3. Um... Welcome, Aphrodite! Thanks I'm actually now new here, but I felt for various reasons I needed to get a new username. (If you want to know my old username, just message me and I'll try to get back to you). Okay... sadly, since you're new again, I actually can't PM you. Ah, well. Well maybe sometime soon. I just don't want to risk posting my old username for the world to see. I have a feeling that if I keep being too honest about different topics, I will soon face the same troubles. If I do, then I guess I'll be gone from the site for good.
  4. I've known some gay people---in past and present. More as aquaintances than friends, with the exception of one. I really don't care if people are gay or not. I don't really believe being gay is a choice for most. I have researched the subject countless times and taken into account different points of view (including the strict biblical or conservative Christian view). And I've done soul-searching. I can't find it in my heart to condemn people just because they are gay, nor do I believe the government should discriminate against someone because of sexual orientation. (This is my personal opinion and I don't expect everyone here to agree.)
  5. ???? mother earth ???? Many people refer to the planet as Mother Earth. I refer to the planet as Mother Earth because of the cycle of life and sustaining of life throughout time. Just a term, tis all.
  6. I don't know that I really "blame" anyone for cancer. There are different reasons why a disease like cancer happens---genetics, lifestyle, etc. The only natural thing each of us an do is to strive to be healthy (eat right and exercise), and be regularly tested or monitored for different signs of cancers (mammogram for breast cancer, colonscopy for colon cancer, etc.) Early detection often means a better chance at beating cancer.

  8. All I can honestly say for myself at this time is that I don't think there is a right or wrong day to "worship" on.
  9. A quick answer is, yes, there are serious problems or threats to the environment. Yes, much of the troubles are the results of human actions. Yes, we should care about Mother Earth and take steps in caring for her.
  10. He sometimes raises good points about important issues, but doesn't always get his facts right. Tis all I can really say for him.
