  1. It was fun when I was a kid. I never thought of it as something evil. Just kids having fun playing "let's pretend". And that's still fun for adults too. I suppose that it has its' roots in paganism. Maybe on the other hand though it kind of reveals ourselves. I wonder why we see so many "devils" and "witches" rather than angels. I thought the idea was to pretend to be what we really aren't! Just kidding. Halloween is pretty much a thing of the past around where I live. Very very few kids are out trick or treating. G.E.
  2. People worshipping money. I'm shocked.
  3. No unclean thing can stand in Gods' presence. Doubt, fear and confusion are the tactics taken in attack, but sometimes it is not so much an attack but an attempt to gain entrance into a host body by a parasitical spirit. It's easy to fall prey to such attempts out of a supposed charity but the real wisdom is to deny such undesired hospitality and rather to pray that spirit seek repentance and recover their own relationship with God in mind body and spirit. There's no better thing we could do for another than that. G.E.
  4. Baptism demonstrates submision of our will to the baptiser. Though salvation is not of our works it must be our will to surrender to it.
  5. Hmmmm. It is the number of A man. He who has wisdom...ok 66 books= the Bible and 6 is the number of a man... hmmmm. so who is the Bible about? Maybe it means that Christ is also Anti Christ ! Could also be intrepreted to mean that the spirit of man is against the spirit of God just as the Bible goes to great lengths to point out and illustrate time and again. So ....what we're left with is that all of us are the anti Christ so long as we sin to the flesh, that is to direct our thoughts to the world of flesh. His "Good News" is that the victory is WON when we live through him and not ourself. The Kingdom of Heaven is within. G.E.
  6. How can an atheist, a creature, standing in the midst of a creation that he did not himself create deny that there is a creator? If everyone was their own creator none of us would be aware of anyone else since we'd all be in our own creation. How can an atheist who does not have the Holy Spirit deny its' existence when he knows nothing of it. Of course nothing appears to change in him through his denial. He has no clue, however, what changes through acceptance but it only comes from a sincere heart. I understand how the original poster feels heartbroken.
