  1. No, no, I'm fully aware of that. I just keep thinking of the fuss people make. It's not related to religion in the way of what it is upsetting me, but gosh darnit it's everywhere (am I allowed to swear on these forums?).
  2. Let's see... America was founded on the bible. In the Pledge of Allegiance it says "under God". There were some riots about that in the courts I think... America was founded on the principles of the bible, as well as individual freedom. Slavery? Yeah, it's gone now, but it was there. The fact is that universities are supposed to be unbiased. But professors DO laugh in your face when you say you believe in creation. I mean, REALLY, what business is it of theirs? "Don't ask don't tell", the infamous military policy on gays. Okay, so what if you found out coincidentally? I'm betting if someone found a closet-gay in the military they'd be booted just as quickly as an open gay. I hate hypocrites, I really do. There are so many ways America defies what it preaches. Honestly, what is it with the modern world today? Tolerance. C'mon people. That means NOT laughing in someone's face just because they embrace Christianity. So what if you don't believe it? You don't see us chanting "We're going to heaven, and you aren't!" It's sad, really. Pathetic if you want to remove the triple-layer sugar-coating.
  3. It's amazing how prejudicial American society is. I mean our country was even founded upon the Bible. From some of the videos I watched in my Sophomore year, a lot of "formerly" as well as still renowned scientists who were entirely devoted to evolution found they weren't satisfied with the results. That's why they embraced creation and intelligent design. Just to post a question: How many of you forumers don't embrace intelligent design?
  4. Well, you have to realize we're thinking of this as if we already knew the answer. But what if we didn't? What if we didn't even known what was at the end of either road? In a real life situation, if you got lost in the middle of nowhere and were trying to find your way back to the main road, would you take the large smooth road, or the thin and craggled one? Logically, smooth roads become smoother, and would take you to where you wanted to go. A particularly pessimistic person with a good imagination might even speculate that the small road takes you to a proverbial haunted mansion. What's the difference here? It's not a trick question.
  5. No, no, Shad, you have it right. It IS a call of duty to maintain your position with Christ at all times, ESPECIALLY when nobody is around. You have to live God's word as an individual, not as a combined entity. There can be no higher existence with your best friend. When you are judged by Christ, you'll be alone on a pedestal. Also, what is your main question tsth?
