  1. Mizzey is so very right, You have to get into the word to know for sure, it is the most important thing in the world, because if you believe their is a God and it is the God of the book you have (your bible) it's it there you find your answers how to live his way, not yours . Because some people will tell you, No your not sinning and others will tell you No your salvation is sure and others will tell you your have to stay the race and salvation is the gift Christ brings to those who continued and yes you are sinning so repent, but don't give up.
  2. If you stoned the women you would be breaking the 6th Commandment. So No you shouldn't break the Commandment of God as she did by breaking the 7th. but is what she did right? Should be continue doing it?
  3. I am trying to obey God. What's sad is that the world isn't teaching how to worship him, we have no form of Government in place to guide us in exactly how to do it. Schools don't teach us, my parents never taught me. So I have to learn on my own and try and educate my children the best why I know. But... I 'am not a very smart women as you will see by all my type0's and I'm easliy lead by others. For example I just learned that Christmas and Ester are an abomination to God. I just learned that the for myself researching the origans on the internet. I used three resorces the internet, the Old Testament and the New Testament I always celibrated these holidays thinking it was of God. and I know the Churches with the exception of a few think it's okay. But WOW it's not. Mark 7:8 Says " You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on the the traditions of men." Mark 7:9 " And he said to them;"You have a fine way of setting aside the commands of God in order to observe your own traditions." We don't even keep the 10 commandments because other people say Jesus took care of it, but every thing "I" read in the bible shows take he took care of the punishment and repeatly tell us to follow them. Most churches now make Jesus look like a push over. As to mock him and say " Oh we don't have to pay much attention to his commands and he okay with us celibrating other pagin traditions instead of his holy days, he understands." There are things in the Old Testament that we no longer have to continue true. BUT... THE 10 COMMANDMENTS ARE STILL IMPORTANT TO GOD So Yes I think the WHOLE bible should be treated as the most important thing in your life. (Sorry for the typeo's) Kitty
  4. Matthew 6:10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Matthew 7:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Why is it that no one is focused on Jesus setting up government here. No one is thinking how they can contribute or what position or duties they will have when his kingdom (government) is here.
  5. Well I have spent the day here on Worthy, reading very thing I can on H1N1, checking all the links, informing myself the best I can, and then I also took OC 's advice and took a step back. I am not going to have my children receive the Shot. I find I have more peace with that, if my children do get this mild flu, then I will handle it the best way I know how and that is to give it to the will of God, because I know he has our best interests. Thank you all so much, I will be able to handle the back lash from my husbands family with the Lord. God bless
  6. Thanks, just reading what you typed was calming, you came across calm, and that's what I need right now. Everyone here is ringing my phone off the hook, the line a the church is around the corner, and it feels very panic driven, it even affected my pray life, I am really feeling the panic, but I know fear is not of the Lord.
  7. The school is giving kids the flu vaccination shot for free, and the Catholic church here is doing the same for children in the age group of 6 months to preschool. I have been praying about what I should do, but now I'm out of time. Any ideas? I am not a big fan of getting needles, or running to the drugs store for every sniffal, but my husbands familly and very one in my community is all paniced over the whole thing. I'm getting confuzed with the information out there, I just want some thoughts from other Christians. Thanks Kitty
  8. WOW it was right under my nose, sometimes I make thinks harder than they really are. Thanks so much
  9. Why does Jesus refer to himself as the son of man? I am confusied because he is God
  10. Kitty, no one knows the hour, and I agree with you that we should set our minds on more important things in the here and now. I too focus on Jesus, the rest will happen as it happens, and thats why I can never get serious when dates are mentioned and end times are discussed. It detracts from what we should be doing every minute of every day. Loving Him and through Him loving others, all else pales into insignificance. Blessings Yes I agree but do you think or feel he is coming back soon, in our time, like the next few years?
  11. Who was Satan, I know he masquerades as a angel of light, stated in 2 cor 11:14. But what position did he hold in heaven? Where is it in the bible?
  12. Right, Okay, I agree the bible says the Day and Hour are unknown, but what about the Year ? Also I was wondering do you guys fell like it will be in our time, in our generation, or are we just hoping, like John from the book of Revelation, thought that it would be in his generation that the Lord would return, and my grandpa thought his generation would see the return of the king also. See I try not to think about it and I focus on my relationship with Christ and teaching my children about him also, BUT, I can't help it, something in me feels like my children will see the coming of the Lord while they are still children. I try to make my everyday as if Christ could come any minute, I am waiting and watching. So I was wondering? Do you guys think he is coming back soon?
  13. Through out the old testament, Gods beloved people constantly turn from him, year after year, generation after generation, kingdom after kingdom, and we see God continue to reconsiaile his beloved people too him.

So then the gift of salvation is ours if we accept it and no sin can cause us to loses it, with the exception of blasphamy. You reap what you sow when you sin. which affects this life but not our destination. Right?

If you were not saved, it is likely you would not care about changing, pleasing God and so forth. The thing is, you cannot change enough to please God. No one can. No one can ever be good enough to keep themselves saved. In fact, the very idea that you can be good enough by virtue of what you do is offensive to what the Bible teaches about the reality of our human condition. What some people teach (incorrectly) is that once you are saved, you must do A, B and C, but avoid X, Y and Z in order to maintain salvation. What this means, is that regardless of what Jesus did on the cross, the final determination of whether or not you make it to heaven is YOU. Good works are then not the product of a grateful heart for the salvation you have received, but the product of a mind and heart motivated by fear that you are not saved because you slipped up over there, the other day. So operating in that paradigm, it would ultimately be YOU, and not Jesus, who is the Savior. Jesus got you in the door, but whether you STAY inside is now resting on your shoulders. If that is the case, then the ONLY times you have assurance will be the times you are satisfied that you have lived up to a certain prescribed behavior. Here is the problem with that mindset. The only way you can be pleasing to God enough to maintain or keep yourself saved is if you can fulfill the righteousness contained in all of God's commandments, which means you have to fulfill God's righteousness and the only person who ever successfully accomplished that was Jesus. Jesus did not merely keep all of God's laws, but he fulfilled the righteousness of them. What does "fulfill the righteousness of the law" mean? It means that Jesus was the sinless expression of God's commandments. Jesus was able to keep God's laws sinlessly. You see, even if a person keeps God's laws, all of them, he does so with the stain of Adam's sin, which all of us have inherited from Adam (Romans 5:12-29). So our best works are still nothing in the sight of God. Nothing we can do as human beings will ever satisfy God's righteousness. If we could, then we wouldn

Is if OSAS were true, I could take a deep breath and know that I can try again every morning and if I fall, I'm still his, and try again. But if it is not true, as I fear, every day I try and fall and try again not because I'm loved but because I'm not winning my battles of sin, and I don't want to go to hell. My life has been so bad, I want eturnity to be good, not worse. So I think I'm trying for the wrong reasons.

Your struggle seems to indicate you are not renouncing Christ. You need maturity, growth, discipleship, assurance, etc. from Scripture and the Spirit. It is possible you were not really saved. We do not know you or your experience. Assuming you were, you need to know His love and grace to dispel fear and doubt.

start with just a part of your question. what is your idea of the good fruit you should bear? i think this is a very important part of your question. maybe even more than the OSAS issue. James2:19-20 You believe that there is one God. Good: Even the demons believe that and shudder. You foolish man, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless. I try clothe meself with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. but then I think. Even the parent who is evil can give a good gift. I think what have I done for others, NOTHING. Just my children I go to work and raise my girls, I'm not a part of my community, or a church. and because of wrong chooses, I have no means to get envolved with a church and no time for community, I'm resentful, alone and very confuzed as to my place with the Lord. I don't feel worthy and rightly deserve the punishment he bore for me. I just thought that when I became a Christian the Lord would help me with the direction of my life but I don't hear him. It make me think that maybe I wasn't ever saved. I dream of one day taking my children and serving the Lord so where, but every time I have to take a step, it's the wrong one. This is why I was wondering about OSAS, because that seemed to be the only time in my life I got it right, and now I'm not even sure any more, because tho the fire and love for him is still there, it's harder then ever, because the big change I got from being born again is realizing my sin and wishing I could stop. To be Christ like.

It is a beautiful picture, but what I don't understand is why in my tearful cries for help, could I not here him, and ended up making the wrong chooses.

Yes this seems to be where I am \ I want to scream hallelujah at the top of my lungs, but all I do is fear, and pray that I am not rejected. I fear that maybe I am not really saved. I fear that when I asked his to be my Lord, he said no. I fear, I fear, I fear, and that is not from God. I need to do as you did to get back on track I need to submerge my self in the Lord.

Hi Kitty, Believe the Scriptures. Jesus promised that He would not loose any the the Father gave to Him to save. He cannot fail. Paul tells us that He that bagan a good work in us WOULD complete it. If it is left unfinished that would mean that God had not kept His word through Paul. The scriptures tell us that the saints will persevere to the end. Those that do not persevere were never saved in the first place. Jesus also said that His sheep would never perish under any circumstance. If you are one of the elect of God you are already glorified and already have eternal life. Eternal life cannot be eternal if it ends. LT You said; "Those that do not persevere were never saved in the first place" What do you mean "persevere"? Persevere what? I try and fall. I alway try, cry, and humble myself but still I am ingulfed in sin. Why can't I get out of it? Maybe because I was never truly saved in the first place. Is the only way to know for sure through good works? How can I be saved from the sins I can not change?

Wanting to serve Jesus, but producing no fruit because I want to be saved for the wrong reasons. I want to be his I want a loving Father but I can't seem to get it right, and when I read my bible. I feel like every vile sin, unworthy and unchanging. I feel like the millioniar who walked away because he couldn't give up his money. My pray life is sorrowful and fearful that I will be rejected, because I can't get it right.

Do you think I am saved, if I bare no good fruit. Maybe I am afraid of burning and who wouldn't want a better life after this one, So I have to work for it It's not enough to ask Jesus for it?
