What I want to know is if the media is just giving us all this information to keep us thinking he is starving his people and it's all just hype then where do all the video pictures of him planning his great palaces come from. Do you think the images of him on TV in all his splendor are made up on the computer. Also if this is all true and it's all false media why are the same people who claim this constantly posting on this forum from media sources? I think we are getting out into la la land here. It is an undisputed fact, that Saddam even went to the length of killing his own Sons in-law and called it family business. He could have just left them alone. Your hatred of America is blinding you to the facts on alot of this. The American media is so explicit with the truth that they told all even about it's own president. And I mean all. And we are talking about a president everybody wanted to love. We may have some biased writers out here but come on a jounalistic conspiracy, thats just to funny. Your talking about the land of Journalistic freedom who would eat each other for lunch to get the story, not the one we Americans would like to hear. Bob I too have been feeling God on my heart to pray, not only for America but the world at large. My only suggestion here is try to make it shorter, theres alot of material on the forums and only so much time. Most people will skip it if it's too long. I'm not being critical just honest. Neb we are not worshipping a Nation Israel. We are acknowledging the truth found in scripture. We are also not trying to debate with you but rather are hoping that somehow you find the truth in this. Tons of scripture has been pointed out to you here and in other places. Even in the face of that scripture you hold onto your opinions and old ideas. I'm going to suggest some prayer, fasting and time with God out of your own head on this. If the answer he gives you and I mean honestly gives you is still the same then I must except that what he wants you to think. I've been dealing with others who appear to not get what I can clearly show them and I feel frustrated. Sometimes it is I that is not getting it. I find the right answers in prayer and meditation. Go and ask Him, He wrote the book and He knows what He wants us to understand. It can't hurt. By the way just to clarify I stand with Israel turning back to God and accepting Christ. I guess nobody wants to respond to something against Iraq. Anyway Saddam knows what he is setting his country up for and I know somehow a certain population will see this as the evil of the USA, but he makes it pretty obvious he has something to hide. If he truly cared about the sanctions being lifted and a better life for his people he would just comply. The only reason the UN would ask for an arms inspection is they know this guy is nuts enough to use whatever means necessary to advance his kingdom. He has shown nothing but callous diregard for the countries around him and even members of his own family. I just wish we could get on with this whole mess so it doesn't drag out for twenty years. I know I'm not. I work on it every day but it's hard. When I first got saved I cleaned up the obvious sins. Since then I notice all the little things. Moments of anger, self rigeousness, etc. I even ask for forgiveness for anything I may not notice or remember. It's been a looooooong road. Love in Christ Teri

If the people saved during the tribulation receive the Holy spirit than he can not be the restrainer. The Holy Spirit is not parceled out a little here because there are few christians. If he is here than he is here in his completeness. Perhaps the restrainer is Michael. He is also referred to as the Protector of the Jews. I am also one to think if it is the Holy Spirit it would just say that. As for taken out of the way the scripture does not say by means of leaving the earth. To be out of harms way could mean any measure of things. Also the Anti-Christ will be revealed before the end of the Trib when the Jews recognize him and leave the Holy City. I also don't believe any more it may be a different message to Jews and Gentiles because if we are of one tree than it is one message. I don't know if I'm making any sense here, but I see our safety being administered to, but not a rapture. Love in Christ Teri

You won me over Neb, I really can't see a Pre-trib rapture here either. I do see the protection though, pointed out to me via a good source. John 17:15 My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. I also do not see the restrainer as the Holy Spirit. That would not make any sense as we all know many will be saved during the tribulation. And many will prophecy, and do miracles. This would not be possible without the aid of the Holy Spirit. I'm staying for the Tribulation. Yea!!! I say this because I am more afraid for the lost than for myself. Regardless of how I check out or live through this I at least know for sure where I'm going. Remember the story of the talents. I want to multiply mine ten fold for the glory of God and what a better opportunity than this. This isn't about me it's about God. I think there is alot more going on with Saddam than we could possibly imagine. He is a Sun God worshipper and translated that is a Satan worshipper. I'm sure that Satan has him waiting in the grass like a snake waiting to strike at an opportune moment. Saddam is a mad man but a very intelligent one and he has his own plans. I'm sure he's not sitting over there wondering what will I do if America strikes. My guess (only a guess) is while our attention has been diverted these last few years he been planning something. Lev give some scripture to back up what you are saying. I asked before if since Christ was talking to a Jewish population could he have been tell them what was in store for them. Later after Christs death Paul was speaking to Gentiles and could it be the end is different for the two separate groups. I actually got this idea from everyones talk about following the Law before Christs death and it was Grace after not before. To your point of what makes sense, it would make more sense to me for governments and a one world religious order to be able to be fulfilled if we all were out of the way. We are the biggest voice against these very things and we as a group are quite large and more than just a nuisance. As to the idea that God would be unable to put volumes of information into ones head in a instant if needed I think it quite probable that that would definitely be within his capabilities. Remember Saul, he was a soldier not a scholar or even a follower of Christ before his death, but he knew the word of God. How is that? Do you think he took a few years to learn all the in and outs of everything before he took up the Cross? He may have been turned into a believer by meeting Christ himself, but I don't think that explains his ability to preach the Word. I honestly would like to stay for the tribulation just because of my human fear as you put it who will teach the rest. But I would rather know the truth of the matter because in the here and now I am asked that question quite frequently and I always have to answer with I'm not sure. I would rather have this settled and be able to say with conviction what that truth is. So scripture my dear friend. And please do it with an open mind. Is it possible there are two different messages because there are two quite different sets of people. And please Lev do not come back at me with all the tree being cut down and stuff. I think it will be a place of higher learning, where we put the unused parts of our brains into it. I think it will be an eternity of discovering the vastness of God, the enormity of his creation beyond our wildest dreams, and we will never be bored. Lan I didn't mean it as pointing a finger. But I really don't like getting hit up for things like this. I too have read alot of Tim Lahayes work. I also checked out his web site. I have nothing against the guy, it was just an example of being solicited. Oh by the way he did just dump his christian editor last month. There are also many web sites like Benny Hinns that give no information and only are a marketing tool. My daughter sent me a flyer from some organization the other day that looked fine on the face of it. They had a web site so I checked it out. The whole thing was stuff to buy about end-times and how to make sure you are raptured. I just wanted to point out that people should be careful and not fall into buying everything they can get their hands on to see if they can discover when Christ is coming. Heres a funny thing about it all. I wanted to buy the Jesus movie and had to look for it. By the way I found it in the movie store. There is alot more to the message Christ brings than just prophecy so if someone is being exclusive in that area I have to wonder if they are cashing in on hype. Love in Christ Teri

Could it be that in Mathew it was said in a way that meant the tribulation because Jesus was speaking to the Jews who will be here for the trib and in Thess Paul is speaking to believing gentiles who will be pre-trib. I would go into this more but am too tired. Love in Christ Teri

Heres a funny one for you Angel. Before I was saved I had a Harley. Well after I was saved I could not shake the ego thing when I rode my bike. Has anyone else noticed there are alot of people trying to make money on end time articles. I just watched an infomercial on a christian network. The whole thing was about selling end time stuff. I also received an offer in the mail today from Tim Lahaye to buy an end time graph for 40.00. Is anyone else noticing any of this. Is it correct to make money off Gods word? Love in Christ Teri

I'm still getting confused on this issue. I can't seem to get an answer in prayer either. Every time I look into it I get a different idea what is right. I really don't care when or if it happens, but when someone asks I would like to have the right answer.
