  1. If I may add. No particular posture or gesture was ever declared on how to pray. But the most common was to kneel indicating humility. Was not Jesus and others exemplary in this regard? Luke 22:39,41: John 11:41; Acts 9:36,40; 21:3-6 Are these Bible teachings or human traditions? You owe it to yourself and your family to be in position to answer these questions confidently and correctly. Check with your Bible, God
  2. Could this person really have been Samuel? According to Ecclesiastes 9:5,10 it is truly impossible. Why would anyone think that God would approve of a spirit medium when he condemns such a thing? Deuteronomy 18:10-12 Think back to the garden of Eden when Satan fooled Eve. Do you not know these spirit creatures are able to appear in the likeness of anyone they choose? Read also Genesis 6. Don't ever under estimate their power and deception. If you do, they have fooled you. In 1 Samuel 28 gives a perfect example how these wicked spirit creatures pretended to be a dead prophet of God, Samuel. Saul was beside himself desperate and fearful because God had turned away from him because he did not fully follow God's directions. See 1 Samuel 15:3,10,18,19,23,24-26,35. 3. Isn't the goal in each of our lives is to first please God in all things? There are many popular customs that go contrary to Bible teachings. Foreignstance, God warned the Israelites against religious customs of the surrounding nations. Those pagan customs were based on falsehood and misrepresented God and his purpose. See Jeremiah 10:2, Matthew 15:6, Romans 12:2. When customs are rooted in false religion or better known as pagan worship it is wise not to practice it. If you would like information on popular customs that Displease God, please email me at sharingthegoodnews@yahoo.com with "Popular Customs" in the subject. It just might make you go HMMM. Have a great day! Lin
  4. Colossians 2:7,8 (New International Version) 7rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. 8See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ.
  5. I do believe this scripture sums it up nicely; 2 Timothy 3:14-16 (New International Version) 14But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, 15and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. Find an Atheist and ask; From what source did the word earth originate? Genesis 1:1
  6. Hi kittylover0991! Would you please guide me to the scripture(s) in Genesis and Bible translation you read "we"? Thank you.
  7. Hi DaughterofKing Respecting the company party, you were wise not to have made the statement. It could have lead to an argument. This person may have perceived you as "prejudice" instead of the caring Christian who wants to help teach him what God thinks on his lifestyle. This requires the use of discernment and tact. You may ask him a question when you are alone with him at lunch, before or after work may help. You may say, "I over heard you at the company party" concerning your boyfriend,...how long have you two been together? You may ask too, what do you think about the way Christians view your lifestyle? By all means just listen. Do not comment on anything until he finishes expressing his thoughts. This way you can discern on whether to talk to him more of what God thinks or to just not say anything more to him about it. This could lead to more conversations later on about this sensitive topic. Not everyone will listen or want to change. This is a given. (Matt. 13:14,15) When ever you need help, please by all means write. Colossians 4:6 (New International Version) 6Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.
  8. hi Jhon; Reply to your second question; Isn't it too late already when we start feeling REGRETS? * It's not too late for feeling regrets. Take the example of King David. God forgave him for his errors. Psalm 32:5 (New International Version) "Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, "I will confess my transgressions to the LORD and you forgave the guilt of my sin. Selah" Psalm 103:12 "as far as the east is from the west,so far has he removed our transgressions from us". David
  9. hi Jhon; I'll reply again to answer your second question. Your first question: " how can God really UNDO our errors, mistakes, and even sins?" God partially did just that. Genesis 3:15 is a promise, a message of hope for mankind. God created this world and retains dominion over the world. God will not let the force of evil prevail, but will deliver mankind soon in the future. God punished our first parents for their disobedience, but as a sign of his mercy, preserved his blessing of future generations when God warned Satan by what he said in Genesis 3:14,15: "14So the LORD God said to the serpent,(Revelation 12:9) "Because you have done this, you will be punished. You are singled out from all the domestic and wild animals of the whole earth to be cursed. You will grovel in the dust as long as you live, crawling along on your belly. 15From now on, you and the woman will be enemies, and your offspring and her offspring will be enemies. He will crush your head, and you will strike his heel." * God revealed that this
