  1. no, this is what was said...And He will answer ANYTHING I ask believing. pretty much the same thing as being at your beck and call. Do you really think you can command God to do things? you also said this... If you don't permit God to enter into anything on your behalf, He won't who permited Jesus to die on the cross for you? who permited him to enter into the sacrafice that he made for us all? and you said this... Also The Bible says God cannot do anything without people having faith in Him who had faith in God as he was creating the universe? RunningGator, I quoted directly from scripture, if you have the problem with that scripture, you need to take it up with God. He put it in there, I just take Him at His Word. It's called faith.
  2. Beautifuly put. A big AMEN and AMEN!!!!!!
  3. And that's the key. "Believing", that He will. Absolutely man, that is the condition on our prayers being answered, believing/faith.
  4. So you agree that.... God is bound by the law of faith and this means He is obligated to obey the faith-filled commands and desires of believers? and you agree that humans are "little gods"? and you are saying that the Bible supports these two things? Matt.7:7-8 "Ask and it shall be given unto you, seek and ye shall find, kncock and it shall be opened." v.8 " For everyone that asketh recieveth, and he that seeketh shall findeth, and to him that knocketh it shall be opened." Matt.21:21-22 ""Verily I say unto you, if ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea, it shall be done." v22 "And all things, whatsoever ye shall askin prayer, believing, ye shall recieve." John 16:24 "Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name; ask and ye shall recieve so that your joy may be full." James 1:6-7 "but let him ask in faith, nothing wavering, for he that wavereth is like the wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed." v.7 "For let not that man think he shall recieve anything of the lord." let me get this straight, you are saying that these verses say that the creator of the universe, the one that made us all, is subject to commands? Subject to commands? No these verses and more, show that GOD said my faith moves Him on my behalf. And He will answer ANYTHING I ask believing. And I know He's a God that cannot lie. I for one take Him at His Word.

  6. That's good Shilo, "people like us." You mean people who take the whole Word and don't disect the Word to the point that it's of almost no relevance to us today. Remember it's not just the logos but the Rhema that's life changing. No one ever said there would never be trials and tribulations. It's the trying of our faith that brings us the power of God in our lives. It's my standing by faith during lack that I know my God will bless me, thru sickness my healing is just around the corner, thru my sorrow my joy comes in the morning. You may be content with less than because you don't believe in victorious living, but I will hold fast to the promise that I am the daughter of the King of kings, and Lord of lords and He wants me to walk and live victoriously in this life. Be blessed Stacey c
  7. Hmmmm......I thought only Christ was the head of the Body. I'm sure your not purposly misinterpreting what I meant. Christ is the head of the church. I'm not purposefully misinterpreting, I just don't know what you mean by "We are to be the head not the tail." When Tha Bible says we are the head & not the tail Obove onley & not beneath,Dueteronomy 28:13. God means that we should be above circumstances, That means we should have the victory over them. Deuteronomy 28 is written to the nation of Israel, and is never applied to the church. Furthermore, Deuteronomy 28 the blessings it contains are conditional upon obedience to the law. Gen. 17:2 And I will make my covenant between me and thee and wii mutiply thee exceedingly. V.7 And I will establish my covenant between and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed afterthee. Romans 4:16 Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all. Eph. 3:6 That the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gosple. Nice try, Stacey, but that does not change anything God said. The Church is not Israel. Deut. 28 is talking to the physical nation of Israel, and not the Church. Furthermore, God's promises to be the head and not the tail were conditional upon strict obedience to the Law of Moses. They were not blessed because they were Israel. Those blessings were earned blessings. Secondly, they were spoken in terms of the general condition of the nation if they obeyed and was not a promise extended to EVERY person. God did not promise that NO Israelite would be sick or be poor. Quite the opposite, the tithing system was deisgined to take of the poor in Israel's midst, and provisions were made for the Priesthood to care for the sick and infirmed. The references you cite above apply to the Gentile's access into the grace with respect to salvation and do not occur in any context with respect to physical healing. There is simply no universal promise of healing for every believer. Sorry Shiloh, missed one of the most important scriptures. Eph. 2:11-13 "Wherefore remember, that ye being in time passed Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumsion by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands, "That at that time ye were withoue Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world, "But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ."

  9. You heal anyone lately? Jesus already paid the price for our health. By His stripes we were healed. The christian just needs to believe in the work He already accomplished.
  10. So whose to say some of those healings (outside of hospitals) aren't genuine? I'm sure the ones who recieved them believe they are geniune. They were the ones dealing with their problem. So because they don't have a drs. report it's not real? I have seen several healings in my family, I can't back them all with drs. reports, does that make them less real. I can tell you I can walk around without excruciating pain in my feet now, the pain disappeared miraculously after a Sunday morning service when my pastor recieved a word of knowlegde for someone needed healing in their feet. I can't prove with a drs. report so it can't be real?
  11. Because there is no "shtick". And it's not a magic wand to be waved over a body. Healing comes from God and is a work of His. Those who poke fun at it, IMO, are poking fun at Him! And that's exactly what "tongue in cheek" questions such as these are doing. You may question the validity of WOF type people, but don't lump all healing into the same pile. And if you're not doing that, please clarify. A big Amen for that.
  12. ...And why does Benny Hinn have a personal physician? Perhaps even the great "faith healers" also lack sufficient faith for their own healing. Still waiting to hear about all those "raising the dead" ministries. Smith Wigglesworth raised people from the dead thru the power of the Holy Ghost. Rhineheart Bunky has a powerful ministry abroad.
  13. Personal pet peeve of mine. Only saved people are His children. The lost are not His children. John 1:12 But as many as received Him, He gave to them authority to become the children of God, to those who believe on His name. I think you misinterpreted what I meant sorry, We the children of God are to be an example to the world of God's goodness to His Children.
  14. This is a horrible comparison, and seriously lacking Biblical truth. If something is "outside the will of God" is logically is not of God, according to God, or according to God's desire. Thererfore all who have died "outside of God's will" would be subject to the judgment, including believers. That simply does not line up with the Scriptures. If I should get caner and then die from that disease it is not because I am "out of the will of God" or have "fallen from the will of God." If God should allow a person to die in their illness it is absolutely according to His divine will. And I totally agree with you here Ovedya, God has planned all, and our time to die.

I'm not purposefully misinterpreting, I just don't know what you mean by "We are to be the head not the tail." God wants us to walk in victory. He wants His church to be ahead of the world, to be the top not the bottom. He's called us to victorious living. Yet the church in general lives in lack and despair that is not what God wants for us. We are to be a an example of God's goodness to His children, so He will be glorified. At what time in history did the church not live in "lack and despair"? I'm confused, because it seems that you're advocating the same type of spirituality of the charismatics, who generally believe that there will be a great revival in the church at some near point. Please explain. You are right, the church has always lived in lack, it just shows how far back the enemy has worked to keep the body in bondage. But that is not the plan of God. Are we all called to be millionaires? I don't believe so, but we are called to be blessed, with all our needs met by our Father. I believe in the total promises of the Word for my spiritual and physical growth. So yes you could say I'm about as charismatic as you could get. And Praise God for it!

  18. God does allow babies to be born with ills because we live on a cursed world. When Adam fell the world became cursed, so we are born a cursed people into a cursed world, but Jesus came and broke that curse, restoring us back into fellowship with our Father and ALL He has promised us. We accept Christ we accept His promises into our lives. I don't have to settle for the curses of this world. There are over ten thousand promises in the Word that I can claim as mine as a co-inheriter with Christ. Healing is one of them. How is God's children walking around with sickness and lack lifting up His name? We are to rule and reign as kings and priest. Jesus said that the kingdom of God is with in us, that means we have Royal dominion with in us. We are to be the head and not the tail. If I am not living in the promises that God has promised me, I am not living in royal dominion and I am not the head.
  19. praise God sister that He is just and merciful to carry you thru those difficult times! I'm not saying I don't believe God does use these situations to try our faith which worketh patience. But why stop there? Life and death are in the power of the tongue, start speaking healing and health into your life. Hold fast to your faith and watch God blow your mind even more than He already has, as He moves even more in your life.
  20. Do you know the answer to the OP? Why doesn't He now? I believe He does. The Bible tells us God is the same, yesterday, today, and forever. Like Jesus said many times in the NT, according to your faith be it unto you. BY your faith you are healed. So what's the problem today? More sin, more serious diseases, less true faith? I don't know. IMO it goes case by case. I have seen miraculous healings, instantly, others over a small period of time that blew doctors minds, some thru prayer and fasting, and others I'm still believing for. I acknowledge that faith is an essential component of healing, but God may also chose to use faith in a negative circumstance to mature us rather than heal us. I would be careful of any argument which implies that a person not healed lacked the necessary faith. God has given us His word and His Holy Spirit to mature us, A loving God wouldn't make anyone suffer to bring them to matureity. Amen Truthbringer. I stand on the fact that I am a child of the Most High God. He wants me to have victory in ALL areas of my life. I represent Him, carry His name, if I walk in His victory it glorifies His name for all to see. Amen, God has said that we are, victorious, Overcomers, Always triumphant, More than conquerors, healed, prosperous, blessed, Anointed and Joint-hiers of all things with Jesus. I have another question. Do either one of you believe God snatches away someone's healing if they have an ounce of doubt or if they wonder why there isn't an immediate physical manifestation to a healing they had supposedly received? Hey Xan, No I don't. I believe the enemy can make us doubt the Promise of our loving God, "hey what makes you think your healed, don't you feel sick today- maybe it's the disease coming back...ect..." And like I posted before, I have seen instant healings and others that have taken time, and still others I'm believing for. I could go into testimonie after testimonie of healings in my life, my husbands, and my disabled children, but I don't type fast enough and it could take all day but we must hold fast our faith in the promises of our God. It's all for His glory. Have a blessed day sister.

  22. Of course everything can be used for His glory. If someone triumphants thru a battle it's for His glory. If someone recieves their miraculous healing it's for His glory. But I refuse to believe, that my awesome, loving, Daddy, who would have still died on the cross just for me, if I was the only one who needed salvation, would be the same God that would say "Hey she needs to learn a little lesson, sock her with some horrible disease." Absolutely not. Let's remember the scripture Matt.7:11 "If you being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask Him." And yes I know all about where Paul said he rejoices in his infirminies, for where I am weak then He becomes strong.(For give Me if I misquoted). But God didn't sock him with those weaknesses, satan throws things at us to take our eyes off God and wallow in self pity, but Paul was teaching us to stand in our faith in these trials. So enough blabbing, point is satan controls this world, and God allows him certain authority, satan puts these illnesses on people, God is merciful and Just to heal all who fight thru that battle and believe in Him for their healing. By HIs stripes we were healed.
  23. Do you know the answer to the OP? Why doesn't He now? I believe He does. The Bible tells us God is the same, yesterday, today, and forever. 24. Time and again we see in the New Testament Jesus heal many and tell them their faith has made them whole. Yes God does work thru these circumstances for His ultimate glory, but Jesus healed all who came to Him.
  25. That's well and fine, but sometimes you get opinions whether you ask for them or not. And it's confusing when there's conviction on opposing viewpoints with both sides using Scripture to back up what they say. I feel like Pilate: What is truth? Imo, back up...regroup....seek the Lord, and don't make a move until you have peace again. And in my experience, beware advise from people that is not solisited. Prideful people like to stick their nose in things not their business, after all their the ones who think they know it all. And if two different points of view both can be scriptually backed up but are oppossing, go back and seek the Lord, which direction is HE giving you peace about? And again make NO move until you feel that peace in your spirit.
