No disrespect intended, but neither of those are the Word of God. They are a translation of the Word of God into english and have their own weaknesses, though I'd take the Tyndale over the KJV because he didn't submit to substituting ecclesiastical words like "church" or "easter" in error like the KJV. Hello Yod To be a “Worthy Watchman” you should have known.... The Tyndale’s Bible had both “church” and “Easter”, just like the KJV. ---------- And if the Bible we hold in our hands is not “the Word of God”, than God was not able to preserve it for us. As to the question as to why so many English translations of the Bible seem to say different things in this verse; Here is the answer. God’s Word is under attack, just as it always has been. And for the last 130 years or so, this has been Satan’s way of attacking the Bible for English speaking people. For over 520 years, since the first English Bible was published(The Tyndale Bible), all English Bibles, basically said the same thing; And although this was great for God’s people who spoke English, it was a thorn in Satan’s side. Therefore in 1881, Satan successfully led some “bible scholars” as they produced a “new Greek New Testament” and from that moment on, it has been open season on “changing the Bible”. Now as every Christian knows, the Bible can’t be changed; And it really hasn’t been. It’s just that so many professing Christians have been fooled into thinking that there seems to be some kind of a question mark over what the Bible really says(when there really isn’t), that they “BUY” every “NEW” Bible that comes down the pike, instead of simply sticking with God’s Word that was produced in English, from the very first. Download a copy of William Tyndale’s Bible(the 1st English Bible) and compare it to the King James Bible(the last accurate English Bible produced), and you will see that they say the same thing. Now I know that Satan has fooled people is to tagging this as (a King James version issue), but it’s not that at all. It’s a “Bible issue”! God gave His people His Word and He was able to preserve His Word and that’s it.

This is where preaching comes in. But not all preaching, is the same. (1) Strong, solid(Biblical) preaching, hits this infection between the eyes and will soon knock it out. (2) But, weak, shallow(praise type) preaching, does little to help this problem. -------------------------------------------------- Also, small doses of any kind of preaching, won’t get rid of this infection, but will make it stronger. Just as small doses of actual antibiotics, will cause an infection to become immune to that antibiotic; So also does weak preaching, cause people to become “Gospel hard”. Most of today’s preaching, simply causes people to become intrenched in their sin. Just as the Word of God warned us it would........ 2 Timothy 4:2-4 V.2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. V.3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; V.4 And they shall turn away [their] ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

Satan’s plan for the Church’s new attitude about the Bible, is to destroy souls. This morning I ran into a flock of JW’s and as we talked we compared John 1:1 and I explained how their religion had added that “a” in that verse, to deceive them. They proceeded to inform me how the King James Bible had made a mistake in John 1:1, by not adding the “a”; and they also said that they know what they were talking about, because they had studied the original Greek!!! They continued by pointing out several other verses, where the King James had made mistakes. Etc. ----------------------------- After this encounter, I realized that a little over 100 years ago, poor lost souls like this, wouldn’t have had a leg to stand on, because there was a time, that our English Bible was universally seen as “God’s Word”. At that time, we could have pointed out that “This is the Bible and it is the truth”; But the Church’s new attitude about the Bible, has given these false churches a leg to stand on, because “most Christians” would agree with them, that the Bible has mistakes. In fact, I hear it from Christians all the time........“No translation is without errors!” ----------------------------- Now I am not too worried about all of this, because the Lord is in control, and this lukewarmness toward Him and His Word, has been prophesied to come to pass. I am just Glad, that I have not been infected by it.....as yet.....
