Ok.. I feel I have enough backing now to come out with this... People need to be careful what they say.. things can hurt others in ways you would never imagine.. I am a new christian, just weeks old.. and I feel some things said here were used against me in demonic attack.. When I was younger I was abducted.. I was tortured and forcibly used in the making of child pornography, I have seen children mutilated and murdered.. things have happened before my eyes that I will never be able to speak of in this life. I CANNOT abide the thought of somone witnessing such atrocities and doing NOTHING to stop it.. I did not know if this was a true part of being a christian, I began to doubt my faith.. I was afraid that if this was the truth, then I could no longer be a christian. I battled with this for many hours and had to talk with a trusted friend before I was able to calm down, I was very upset and frightened.. I didnt know what to do, I didnt know what to believe.. I just knew that I would NOT be able to stand by and allow evil to happen if it were in my power to prevent it.. regardless of the price I would pay. THERE ARE EVILS IN THIS WORLD THAT YOU DO NOT KNOW! Do not try to claim that there is no situation possible that you would not resist.. Do not try to claim that you are immune and it cant happen to you.. You never know what will come to you tomorrow...

They are God's instuments for executing His judgement on evil. When God's children disobey they are chastised. If they don't repent the chastisement gets severe. Hitler was God's chastisement on Europe and the world for abandoning Him just as Nebuchadnezer was on Isreal. One thing I have learned is that the bible is a book of principles. We can extrapolate because the bible does not address every circumstance individually. It does address them generally. People die every day and some are murdered, even by governments. Remember that we have eternal life right now. Another factor, God has allowed Satan to try to prove his case. He wants to be worshiped like God. I believe Satan thinks he can force this worship by forcing the world to come together.(briefly stated) LT (Its getting late for me, Yawn.) You asked everyone else to back things up with scripture... Id like to see you back this up too.

Ok, governments are instruments of God's protection.. Governments enforce thier law, and governments kill people. Lots and lots of people. Are there special rules in the bible for governments somwhere?

Its being made out that Christians cant be police officers or soldiers, and that enforcing the law and protecting freedom is not biblical and is therefore wrong.. There is something not right there.. I just cant figure it out yet..

Well. Perhaps, this is a guide for what we -should- do, I dont believe we would be condemned if we failed it in one way or another.. There seems to be at least two accounts in the bible where Jesus was being taken to be crucified, and somone there drew a sword and cut off the ear of a servant of the high priest. Neither time did Jesus condemn or even reproach this person, only in Matthew does it show Jesus even reacting to it: Mat 26:51 And, behold, one of them which were with Jesus stretched out [his] hand, and drew his sword, and struck a servant of the high priest's, and smote off his ear. Mat 26:52 Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword. I find this interesting. I really dont know.

Found it, it was a kind of Spined Micrathena, which is actually a common spider. Odd that Ive never seen one before. Ive seen some crazy lookin spiders but that one was really strange.

Hi... I was out looking around at things and I encountered this spider which I have never seen or heard about before.. Ive studied many spiders but this one was new to me. It was small and glossy brown, its thorax was about half a cm long.. it had large, visible eyes. But the most interesting thing about it was its abdomen, it was white with very fine sandy yellow stripes, with fine black stripes and specks underneath.. the shape was also strange, from the side it was nearly triangular in shape, with two pointed protrusions coming up at an angle in the back, and two smaller protrusions just forward of these.. there was indentation between the protrusions and they ran along somewhat of a ridge on either side, making them resemble horns or an asymetrical crown.. Has anyone ever seen such a spider? And does anyone know if it is a known species? It also had a wonderful symetrical web.. it was very pretty, I got to watch it repair and reconstruct the web. Web weaving has always amazed me..

Hi.. this is just a general question. Does anyone know about astronomy? Maybe nebula can answer this one for me.. Was out very early this morning and saw a bright star, almost directly east and between 1 and 2 o'clock in the sky. It was just below 9 o'clock off the belt of orion, which was just about east-by-southeast.. and Im in southern Michigan. What was this star? Was it a planet or just a really bright star? We dont usualy see bright stars like that around here due to polution and city lights...

Oddly enough.. if they were occult, it wouldnt be public.. occult is 'hidden' or 'secret'.. I think a lot of people do it just because they think its fasionable... The occult would be more like.. Illuminati.. lots more to worry about there than some people being pagan... There are things much more hidden and sinister.. we dont know about the real occult, which is the entire point of the occult.. to remain secret. Chances are you wont meet a real occultist on any given day, but if you did meet one, you wouldnt know it.

I should proly keep my mouth shut, but Im not gonna.. lol. Yes, the man is the head of the household.. but a good man should love, respect and -listen to- his wife. Just as a good king, even though the king has final say, listens to his advisors and his people, because they back him up with how he runs the kingdom. Decisions arent always (and usually arent) yes/no. Often by chosing to do one thing, you will lose something else, you cant have everything. That is why two heads are better than one when deciding how to move forward in life. Even though one person may have final say, if they are smart, they will listen to thier advisors and make an INFORMED DECISION, even if it isnt what everyone expects, it at least isnt made out of ignorance and in the dark.

That would be micro evolution Macro evolution is an entire change of species, from ape into man or whatever. Micro evolution is minor changes in traits, skin and hair color, height, things like that, but the species is still effectively the same. I believe micro evolution to be a gift from God, placed into every living thing so that its offspring can adapt and diversify. But anyways.. I agree with you, MAcro evolution isnt in the bible afaik and goes against how the bible says the world was created. Therefore a christian should not believe in it. Im sorry I brought micro vs. macro into the issue.. I just wanted to clarify what we really mean when we say 'evolution' because both are forms of evolution. I know its an issue of semantics, but semantics are important.. if we did not pay attention to semantics, the bible would not mean the same thing that it did when it was written. (like some of the new versions that Ive heard are around that totally destroy the spirit of the word.. they have changed the meanings in those versions..)

And also, based on the theory of magnetic field decay, which seems to be the most logical, I would say the earth is not even -possibly- older than 10,000 years.. and thats a realy old estimate, Im only saying it is NOT older than 10k years but is most likely younger, probably between 6 and 8 thousand years. Anyway, to get back on topic, define evolution. Theres a bajilion theories.. evolution from fish, evolution from lizards, evolution from monkeys, hybrid creationist/evolutionist theories where God 'helped' us evolve from amoebas, and.. blah. But really.. I believe God created man, and animals. He just made them, he didnt evolve them from something.. one moment they were not there, and the next moment they were created. The bible does not seem to support macro evolution in any way so... I dont see why a christian would believe it.

I dont believe in macro evolution but I believe in micro evolution, which is very different and is a God given ability.. Like desert people are able to develop dark skin as a genetic trait, and snow animals can have white fur. Its minor adaptations to the environment, and NOT fish evolving into people or monkeys into people or amoebas into multi-celled organisms...

Fear is a good thing, it protects us and keeps us alive. Without fear, all we would have to go on is our knowledge, and knowledge can fail... What keeps a person from jumping from a high place? Is it the knowledge they would die, or is it the fear of falling to thier death?

Yes.. private security. Stealing is always wrong, yes, but cops -should- have more important things to do than to chase down a bum that stole a $1 bag of potato chips... if Im being murdered I want to know the cops are coming, and they arent busy chasing a kid that took a candy bar. Private security should deal with preventing such petty theft and similar crimes. It isnt the fault of the police that they are outnumbered and have bigger fish to fry.. they deal with atrocities that one can only imagine. They have a high stress, high danger job, with psychologicial traumas, high alcoholism and a high suicide rate.. we really need to give cops a break and let them do thier real job, stopping -violent- and -dangerous- criminals, risking thier lives to protect you and me.

LOL Detroit and its suburbs are a VERY big area.. lots of places arent very bad at all.. and some places are actualy quite nice.. but the -really- bad parts of town are the places you dont want to be in, even in daylight. I have been robbed three times in certain areas.. twice were at gunpoint.. and my home was broken in to many times. I have since moved away from there and I simply just dont go to those places anymore if i have a choice!

I live on Earth. In a house. With a roof on it. It even has indoor plumbing and electricity! (and just happens to be located in a burb of Detroit also.. but I didnt tell you that!) :laugh: :sweating:
