I agree it does - but there seems ti be a stigma present, that is unlike any other. In this day and age it is less injurious to live with a member of the opposite sex and break up, come to repentance than to have tried to live right and suffer a divorce it gets old

in my many years of ministry I have seen some really hardline views on divorce and remarriage or divorce and ministry and I have to tell you - I am pretty much sick of the whole mess While I will agree that marriage is a holy and sacred institution and plan of God - I am shocked and amazed with the ease that we dismiss individuals because of past failures - even those that occur after salvation. There are so many who are abandoned or cheated on or left or abused and I know "It takes two to tango" and so on - but gee so many times there is a legitimate victim, was he/she perfect? No of course not - but they may have been victimized nonetheless. Abandoned, abused or infidelity - in such cases I would have no problem marry such an individual or letting them in a pulpit I'd love to hear your thoughts

I would call the local shelter. They will investigate it and if need be take the dog from the owner - and while I realize there is a potential risk the animal may be euthanized isnt that better than having it in the heat, rain, snow and everything else? Also realize that the family will know you called the shelter, and this could become problematic for the neighborhood harmony... if it was me - I would have never let them know my feelings and taken the poor pup in the middle of the night I feel for the little guy

In years past I got caught up in the whole translation war. Now I dont worry about it so much. If I am just dying to know the most truest intent of the text - I think this takes alot more than a translation. I think one has to discover context first by culture, events and people influencing the writing. Then I get out the strongs, thayers etc... and various translations so in short I am not sure the translation one uses is overly critical if they understand that translations give limited, yet adequate illumination

What Bible Translation Is Really The Best? Do you have personal favorite and if so WHY?

Blended famililies are hard stuff. I have a couple in my church who the spouse after about a decade of marriage has a little attitude about the step child that visits every other weekend. She constantly tells her husband that she must be first and so on... Its tough stuff - the man loves her dearly but he loves his child as well, and wants to care for both of them, not make a decision between the two

I've heard it said that ones spouse is suppose to come first above all things... What about in front of and before children? What is someone has a child and remarries - should the new spouse now have precedence over the child? Should a man or woman cling to thier spouse and regard the feelings of their spouse above thier child? Please give me your thoughts, and what you think that
