Watching Law and Order (all of them), CSI, any crime show really. Reading. I'm a gym rat, I go every morning Monday through Friday. I love being in God's word and listening to music that glorifies Him. Hanging out with my hubby. We've been married 10 years, a miracle of God! :-) Oh yeah, and I LOVE being a math teacher.

  1. Come on people...you can disagree with someone without being rude and insulting. (And this was not in response to the most recent post, just to clarify.) Ok, back to the topic!
  2. Thanks for the reminder! I am the Christian Club advisor for my school, so this was helpful. I could also use all the prayers I can get because you are SO right: it is a mission field AND a battlefield. And this year makes 12 years of teaching for me too!
  3. Amen. I am currently meditating on Eph 4:26-32.
  4. Thanks for sharing, dear friends. I know I have to CHOOSE to keep my mouth shut and wait for the rage to subside before speaking, and I have to CHOOSE to let go of the past (I guess I am still dealing with some unforgiveness and need to repent of that). I feel like I really do try that everytime, and yet I fail everytime. Btw, we do not fight often. Just when we do, I go OFF. I will keep pressing on and not give up on myself.
  5. I am in SERIOUS need of practical advice. When you get into an extremely heated argument with your spouse, how do you keep from spewing venom? I cannot seem to stop this cycle I have had going for years, and I pray and try desperately to just stop and say nothing or at least stay calm and rational, but I fail every time. Anyone else had victory over this? Please share!
  6. Revolving credit is simply a loan amount borrowed, then once it's paid off, you can borrow that amount again. Just like a credit card. And yes, interest is SO not cool.
  7. I am a killer of plants. If I just walk by them at any store, they run at the sight of me. BUT, I have a little plant that is STILL alive after 3 months. That is nothing short of a miracle, and even my husband is stunned. Now cows...I like cows...when done medium-well.
  8. Simple interest is only calculated on the original loan amount.

I read that this morning. How heartbreaking.
  10. Compound interest is interest that keeps accumulating on top of itself. Simply put, you pay interest on the initial loan amount, then interest on the interest, then interest on the interest that was on the interest, etc. Revolving interest, that I have not heard of. Are you sure you don't mean revolving credit?
