Repent=turn from sin to God At age five, due to being disciplined by my parents, I knew I was a sinner. No matter how small the sins were, I felt bad. I knew my sin was against God. (I felt bad about this.) At the point of repenting, I felt I was then "on God's side". I thought about the decision for weeks, it seemed. It was a major decision. Steve, how big does a sin have to be to repent from? I think God would rather we be broken over the tiniest sins, therefore not live a life of sin! The problem with ALL PEOPLE, when you look at the parable of the SEED AND THE SOWER, (Luke 8) out of 4 people who get receive the word....how many are actually really saved? What percent of decisions are not "real" according to this? Look at the condition of the soil.

I, too, received Jesus as my Savior at an early age. (5 years old) I knew that I was a sinner and only Jesus could save me. I knew to accept Him I would have to desire not to do wrong things anymore. I was most guilty feeling about desiring other kids would act up when the Sunday School teacher prayed everyone would be good. I knew how awful that was! I also hid green beans under the edge of my plate, thinking my mom wouldn't make me eat them, thinking they fell off my plate on accident. I battled the decision for weeks, it seemed. I was scared about going to hell. I would think about it each night when I went to sleep. I didn't want Jesus to save me. I couldn't see Him and didn't know whether to trust Him and also knew I would have to not want to sin anymore. I wished my stuffed kangaroo would instead. My my got saved and was happy all the time. I came to the point I knew Jesus was real and there was no other way. I prayed and asked Jesus to forgive my sins. I told Him I didn't want to sin anymore and asked Him to come into my heart. It was real. I shortly desired for everyone to know about Him. He was my best friend in the whole world. I, too, surrendered to His Lordship in a greater way as an adult. I felt Him calling me to be a missionary as a teen but disobeyed Him and married an unbeliever. It breaks my heart that I disobeyed Him but He is faithful, has chastised me, and given me numerous ways to serve Him. When we are called, obedience is not an option. He loves us too much to let us stay out of His will. My five year old son is saved, too, and loves Jesus so much. He even makes up songs about salvation and had a kid pray the sinners prayer on the school playground! He talked to the kid for weeks before this. I don't know if that kid unerstood or not but am delighted he cares so much for the kids to tell them about Jesus. I feel God has great plans for him. I feel the Holy Spirit flowing through him so much. My five year old also prays for God's forgiveness often and help in obeying Him, without prompting. The Bible says, "Let the children come to me" and "those that seek Me early will find Me" The thing is, a lot of kids are not ready at that young of any age, but some are. Let the Holy Spirit lead you in evangelising.... Love in Christ, Tracey

Thanks for everybody's insight... Yes, I have know people who acted "so humble" that they were proud! False?

another thought....sometimes intellectual belief and heart belief are two different things.... When you believe something in your heart, it changes your life. Also, when you are a sinner and suddenly become a child of the King, it may take a while before you have the confidence to "feel" like one and have the confidence to act like one... the Spirit shining through you....maybe the fruit had to grow & mature a little? just thoughts.......

Suzanne, I am not sure how that scripture relates....if the Lord brings something to mind, I will let you know. However, the following scriptures come to mind as to how the Holy Spirit is received today...and Romans 6 about being baptized into His death Romans 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? 4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 2Co 1:22 Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts. Eph 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Eph 4:4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; 5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, I believe the act of baptism in the water is symbolic of what has happened to us spiritually. I believe the reason you don't see a lot of change nowadays, is because of the seed falling on different types of soil (some are not genuinely saved...just as in Bible days) I don't know if that helps at all....just scriptures that come to mind. It is always good to know what you believe and why. I am glad you are searching....May the Lord be with you! Love in Christ, Tracey

Larry, Good post Carly, are you a born again Christian? If so, you are sealed by the Holy Spirit. Demons have no right to you and cannot penetrate that seal to "possess" you. They can pester you as much as you allow them to, though. Therefore, as a Christian, all you have to do is resist as the Bible says. 1Jo 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. Unsaved people can be possessed and may need someone to "cast demons out" of them. If you have a problem with a specific sin...find an accountability partner...as you confess your sins to another, and ask for prayer that you may be healed from them. (James 5:16) It is kind of like spiritual circumcism. I bet when men were physically circumcised in Bible times as adults, they only allowed someone they trusted to do it. Sometimes you may receive strength in the Lord through other believers when you have someone to pray with you, circumcise you spiritually with the Sword of the Lord and to make sure there is not any missed areas. (accountability re: a chronic problem) Ask someone to be you trust to be your accountability partner with your anger problem. God bless you and help you through your struggles... Thanks everybody for your prayers. Suzanne, your ministry to the needy is valued highly to the Lord. The ones with the titles & influence in the churches may find all they have is straw that will be burned up. I enjoy reaching out to the ones nobody else does, also. They are so receptive to the gospel. I hope & pray you will find some strong Christian support/church or maybe the Lord will lead you to a church where your husband could be a pastor....whatever His will is. God bless you all. -

Suzanne, Your situation sounds so similiar. Our church was/is getting ready to build soon, too. Money being way down. So many people are hurting. I feel especially for one dear couple who deserve double honor & respect for who they are in Christ and how they have lived. They are made to look like pharisees to the newer people...people just don't know..... I love them so much! I am just trying to keep my eyes on Jesus right now....be obedient to the things He has called me to do....He has not told me to leave. My heart is broken. I pray the Lord will circumcise some hearts..... Praying for you! Please keep going somewhere! Love in Christ, Tracey -
spiritual warfare in the church

Suzanne, So what finally happened? Did the deacons finally see the light? There was a church I went to once where people finally did see the light...even ones I thought never would. But the situation that is going on now...most who have been in the church for a while realize.....there are a lot of newer people who don't yet realize....tons have left and almost half of the deacons have resigned along with several s.s. teachers and other positions.... If your situation is going on now, I'll be in prayer for your church. Tracey -
Has anyone overcome anxiety and phobeas ?
amazedbyhislove replied to a topic in Have a problem? Looking for advice?
I have had panic attacks (mostly feeling like I couldn't breathe) which I have only had the LORD counsel me on. I give them to Him...think of things such as Him calming the storm, etc, try to praise Him, read scriptures, pray, ask Jesus to make the enemy flee, etc.... Jesus is my life and my love and always is there and comforts me. When I recognize what it is, turn to Jesus immediately, it quickly passes. Praise His Wonderful Name! -
If you are truly saved (only you know that), you are on dangerous ground. Christ is obviously not the LORD (master) of your life right now. God will not allow His children to continually live in sin....He will take them home. This is called "sin unto death". (1 John 5:16) Romans 6 1

I can imagine something will happen so that the recommended location of the chip will become what the Bible says.... it may be this is a precuser such as the VHS tapes before DVD's, etc.....things changing with technology......
-
I see this chip being used for financial purposes in the future....and eventually have something to do with the 666 in the fourhead or hand.....may not be too far off!
-
There are so many in it for the money & power nowadays, it truly saddens me. I know it breaks Jesus heart, too.

One more thing re: the chatisement of God's children when they go astray..... His kids remaining His kids..... Ps 118:18 The LORD hath chastened me sore: but he hath not given me over unto death. 1Co 11:32 But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.

Two things come to mind: 1) False teachers sin was of the spiritual nature leading others astray and not a physical sin. Both the Prodigal Son & King David sinned in a big way and came to repentance. They never stopped loving God even though their was a relatively brief time of physical sin but because they were true Christians, God chatised them. 2) False teachers today appear to be without chatisement... Think of Hebrews 12:8 "But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons." So it appears they were never saved. The Prodigal son was always a son, went to llive in the pigpen with the pigs, but couldn't be happy and remain there, because he was a son and not a pig. The Holy Spirit would not let a truly saved person remain in sin.

Evangelina, The whole Bible lines up with itself as it has one author. Galations shows us how the law was our schoolmaster to bring us to Christ. There is no way we could keep it. That is why we need Jesus. GALATIONS 3:24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. 26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. I believe when we are in the Spirit, acting out of love, we will not be breaking any of the other commandments. Of course we are to keep His commandments, though.....it is just we will not break them by acting in love at all times. I don't know enough about the Torah to answer... I may be confusing you more...I pray the Spirit of God will speak to your heart and show you their is really not a contradiction. Maybe someone else will be able to explain better. Love in Christ, Tracey

Suzanne, Are you of the belief apostates were never truly saved? Also, as a frame of reference, do you believe in eternal security? Love in Christ, Tracey

I believe, too, that all his commands are summarized in first loving God with all are heart, soul, & mind & our neighbor as ourselves. If we did that, we would not transgress on the others.

JUDE 1:11 Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core. 12 These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots; 13 Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever. I was wondering what other people think "twice dead" mean?

1Jo 5:16 If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it. I wonder which sins would be a sin unto death...whether it could vary according to the person....like God lets some get by with more.... I have heard this verse means if we see someone sinning a "sin unto death" that we should not pray for them. Somehow that doesn't seem right except for thinking about the Corinthian man in sin who they were told to hand unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh so that the spirit could be saved. What do you all think...are we not supposed to pray for them?

please pray for spiritual warfare going on in several churches....please pray seducing spirits will be bound/revealed to all sheep in the church....
