  7. I think I can, Neb. When the Israeli soldiers fought for, and won, possession of the Temple Mount during the 6 Day War, the Muslims were actually expecting the victorious Israelis to either destroy the Dome of the Rock mosque, or order them to dismantle it and send it to Mecca. But after a little while, as a sign of good will, the Israeli commander, Moshe Dayan, gave back control of the Temple Mount to the Muslims.
  8. Gay High School Student Named 'Prom Queen' Young women aspiring to wear the tiara don't just have to worry about the other girls anymore - guys can become prom queen at the high school now too. The proof: Senior student Jake Boyer took the title at this year. "This prom queen thing sort of became a manifestation of 'all right, this is who I am'," Boyer told WDBJ News. "It's time to show it off." Boyer came out as gay publicly during the school year. Encouraged by his friends, he entered into the running for queen of the Blacksburg Prom this spring. The night of the dance, Boyer showed up wearing a green Lady Gaga-inspired outfit. He called his run for prom queen a social experiment gone right. "More than anything, this experiment just gave me hope for the future," he told WDBJ. "Like, oh my gosh, this little town in the middle of Virginia is able to be this open." Link
  9. Priestly Blessings Recited on Temple Mount In Jerusalem - First Time in Modern History Rabbi Israel Ariel, the head of the Temple Institute and one of the paratroopers who helped liberate the Temple Mount back in 1967, joined with other members of the priestly family and offered the priestly blessing on the Temple Mount, a first in the history of the modern-day Jewish state of Israel. Security precautions were implemented for all those wishing to ascend to the Temple Mount on Jerusalem Day, the 44th anniversary of the reunification of the city of Jerusalem. Despite the close proximity of the Moslem police always present on the Temple Mount, this event went off without a hitch, an event that could be very explosive. Link
  10. The ill-informed race mongers They're still playing the race card on people who insist the president of the United States should have to prove he is constitutionally eligible for office. Meet Rep. Jim Clyburn, the assistant Democratic leader in the House. He gave an interview to the McClatchy News Service in which he claimed that those concerned about Barack Obama's eligibility are racists. "I don't know why anybody didn't ask for John McCain's" birth certificate, Clyburn said. "He wasn't even born in this country." Clyburn should read Jerome Corsi's "Where's the Birth Certificate? The Case That Barack Obama Is Not Eligible To Be President." The first chapter of the book recounts the forgotten media hysteria over McCain's eligibility issue. The New York Times and CNN and other major media outlets published and broadcast dozens of stories questioning McCain's qualification as a "natural born citizen"
  11. We're on the verge of a great, great depression Wall Street is having a hard time figuring out what to do now that the U.S. economy appears to be sputtering and yields are so low, Peter Yastrow, market strategist for Yastrow Origer, told CNBC. "What we

  13. I think it all begins when a pastor buys a watch that costs more than an average house. When he can check the time on such a watch and not think about how many people that money could have fed, it's too late...

  16. One of you?... What are you referring to. No it is alive and well, I know, but I don't think for one moment that race has to do with any one on this board's opinions about Obama. To make it that it is our motivation, is simply wrong and unjust. I have experienced racism many times, and I must say, its been towards me, from minority's, who cry race! I have had a boss mistreat me because I was not a "Brother" I have been accused of racism, simply because I was of a lighter color then they were, and they went off on how "Evil" white people were for being racist. The only time race is an issue at all, is when someone of any race under the sun makes it such. You must make it one otherwise it is not an issue. I am actually 1/4 Native American, my father is on a reservation at this moment, I am a minority. I have ample room to complain about racism and to pull the race card if I so wish, but I refuse to say that anything that is done to me is because of race. I refuse to play that game. So tell me, are you accusing anyone here of being racist? If so just come out and say it, as thats the feeling I am getting from you. Also Sunflowerwife did make a blatant statement that we were all raciest as this whole idea was driven by racism and racism alone, which as you have already state is not the only reason. Also I did not decide to become a "Birther" lightly. I looked at what everyone has said, on both sides for years before making my decision. I have seen how this president has dealt with other issues. I have seen how he has tried to sweep embarrassing parts of his past under the rug, or explain it away, and in this he seems to be doing the same. I know all politicians do this, and this is one issue I feel he is dodging, and that is why I have even started to pay attention. I have also seen the video where Mrs, Obama said that Kenya was his home country, as well as aids is spread because of Homophobic people. Also the fact that this has gone on so long, has got my attention, since simply providing a birth certificate that was would end this. As for that statement I would agree but so is your statement of I have seen this statement applied in many versions to anyone that does not happen to agree with what others belive. Not only you have said that. This is an old argument when there is nothing better to say or objective facts to bring in as proof. It is hurtful and spiteful and mean, however. Well said!
  17. Yep, and all races are guilty of it. But I will say, I'm sick to death of the racist tag that the media pins on any white person who dares criticize Obama for ANYTHING.
  18. Isn't it odd that these clerics say suicide bombings are a "muslim duty" yet none of those same clerics are willing to do them?
  19. I often wonder about that when dwelling on the Catholic Communion ceremony.
  20. I don't think he even knows if he himself is saved. He encourages his followers to only "hope" they are one of the saved.
