I never knew a movie was made about Sodom and Gomorrah. It's old it was made in 1963. I'm surprised because when I was a kid my mother used to insist that we go see all Bible movies, but I don't remember this one. It stars Stewart Granger, Pier Angeli, Stanley Baker, Anouk Aimée, and Rossana Podesta. The only name familiar to me was Stewart Granger. It went on very early, I think at 4 am. That was too early for me so I recorded it, I'll watch it later or tomorrow. Has anyone here ever seen it, I want to know if it's any good? I keep thinking maybe it got bad reviews and that's why my mother didn't insist that we go see it. I can remember that there was some Bible movies that my mother disliked so much she was sorry she talked my father into taking us. I just happened to wake up this morning to use the toilet and that was when I noticed it was on. Unfortunately it was already 6:10 am so I missed the beginning. I just read Genesis 10 - 21 to refresh my memory. Every time I read the story about Sodom and Gomorrah I pray and ask God to forgive us because I don't think the average person realizes we have reached the point of sins where if it was OT times God would probably destroy us. I guess we're in a different dispensation than the people were in OT times. To be honest I'm not sure what that means. I heard a sermon on dispensations back in the 1970's, I felt uncertain of it then and I still do. I read some of Genesis because I wanted to see which sins lead God to destroy the twin cities. It seemed to be mostly homosexuality but not just homosexuality it was also the fact that sex was going to be forced on the angels. The Bible doesn't go into it much, but I bet the people had reached the point where they had no consideration for each other. They were probably like this with everything not just sex. It's scary because when I look at America haven't we become like this. Maybe I just didn't know what was going on when I was a kid, but I seem to remember more people cared about their fellow person back then than they do now. When Jesus said to love each other as He loved us He meant to care for each other. If we know something we do is causing another person pain, even emotion pain or anxiety, then we have to stop doing it. If we don't stop and then we say we love the Lord, we're liars. So did anyone see the 1963 movie "Sodom and Gomorrah"?
