We eat when we get hungry and drink when we get thirsty, but this is for our physical body that we will only be using for a short period of time. God's Word rightly compares our current physical body to a "tent" because of its temporary nature. Now, let's consider the importance of feeding our spirit and make a comparison between food for our physical body and food for our spirit. Hebrews 5:12-14 For when by reason of the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need again that some one teach you the rudiments of the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of solid food. 13 For every one that partaketh of milk is without experience of the word of righteousness; for he is a babe. 14 But solid food is for fullgrown men, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern good and evil. It should be obvious that we pay more attention to spiritual food than food for our physical bodies. One is temporary and the other is eternal. If we can make time to feed our physical bodies, we can make more time to feed our spirits. If priorities must be set, spiritual food should come first. This is how we become strong in Christ. nChrist
