Perilous times they were in, 200 years ago. All would say 'good morning,' but not all would say 'good night.' Some would tuck their children in, some would not survive the fight. The pains of birth are quite severe, born of righteousness and not of sin, freedom's call would soon be answered by a few Militia Men. Fathers and sons one and all, they would walk into the lions' den, a tyrant king would be dethroned by these Militia Men. From cities, towns and the countryside, from many a now-historic place, Militia Men fought and paid the price, their dreams written in their face. By twilight's last gleaming they stood, and again by dawn's early light. Redcoats fell. The king, defeated--by God, and the Militia Men's might. Once they were praised, once they were toasted. But that was over 200 years ago. Today, the Militia Men are a threat--our new king has told us so. "Begone with your pride and away with your honor! Who cares about what has been? Down with the old! It's a new world order--there's no place for you Militia Men. Give up your guns, you have no right. Just who do you think you are? Your God is dead and so is your dream--now worship my five-pointed star." Stand firm, stand strong, Militia Men. America has much need of you today. Be vigilant now, as never before. Evil is trying to steal our country away. Perhaps tomorrow, or in a thousand years you will receive the rewards you are due. Our flag will fly, our spirit will soar, and it will happen because of you. History will record many of your names, stories will tell of where you've been. 'God save the Republic!' will be the citizens' cry, 'and God bless the Militia Men!'" Apoc...Lil' bro...the militia of days gone by were indeed praiseworthy, hardworking men of God who fought for our freedom. I used to listen to their underground stations over the shortwave on my Grundig radio. Apoc, these are NOT the same kind of honorable men who fought with their lives to save our country. Sorry. It's a romantic thought but just not reality. I said it before and I'll say it again, they are LAUGHING at us! I had at one time thought I was a militia sympathizer UNTIL I began to hear and listen to alot more of their programming. They are NOT truly following Christ. Many are bigots and they are not respecting the authority God has given the leaders of this land. If a leader does wrong, God said we are to take that problem to HIM and HE will repay them for their wrongs. We are not to take the law into our own hands. The ONLY occassion given in scripture for civil disobedience is when we are silenced and told that we cannot preach the gospel. THEN we are given a higher order or law, according to the Book of Acts whereby we can and do continue to preach the Word of God and share the gospel with all people regardless of man's law. Other than that, there are no other commands which allow disobedience to the government. Even in consideration to paying taxes, Jesus said, "Give unto Caesar that which is Caesar's and give unto God that which is God's"... Christian, we BETTER know our bibles... That basically sums it all up! Â :thumb: Apoc: Â At 50, I studied history (US and World) at a time when History Books were less tainted than they are today. Â I know the history of the US from even further back than you quote. Â I have passed down "word of mouth" history from my mother's side that few "Patriots" want to admit to. Â My Choctaw ancestors can reflect a "bloody tale" of white man's "Christian Dominance". Â Check into the "Trail of Tears" sometime and do more research on Native American History. Â My point about the Boston Tea Party was that it was the "straw" if you will, that began full revolution and bonded many together under the "Liberty" campaign who had resisted breaking with England before then. All of the "American History" you can name or even the "proclamations" by supposed Christians from Europe will not change Biblical fact nor prophecy. Â Self proclamation does not a "Christian Godly Nation" make. Â Her fruits were recorded several thousand years ago and she has lived up to them well. Â God Bless. Guest shadow2b
WE PLEDGE OUR LIVES,OUR FORTUNES, AND OUR SACRED HONOR TO THIS JUST CAUSE..---isn't it strange godly men & women willingly gave their tears, their sweat, & their blood, for the freedom of their children, their grandchildren, right down to those enjoying those hard fought for fredoms today and too many freemen & freewomen have spit on & trampled underfoot that blood as tho it were an UNholy thing and not worthy of recognition or to be held in loving memory& honor.-....men like george washington, thomas jefferson, benjamin franklin, paul revere, sargent ALVIN YORK--  the most highly decorated soldier of ww1-, sargent AUDIE L. MURPHY -the most highly decorated soldier of ww2- & korea---loyalty,patriotism,honor, render honor unto whom honor is due----WHERE is the honor all these great americans are due? those that claim to have studied history, have just one little flaw---"IF" they learned their history in the socialist indoctrination camps, better known as the public school system of the U.S.A.,the history books were changed to SOCIAL STUDIES in 1958-FACT--I know I had the book, BUT quit that socialist camp in 1958,so i wasn't corrupted nor was my  view of history  corrupted..SO if the history learned after 1957 was the guide for the study of american history IN the public school system it was  corrupted, inaccurate, perverted, demonized,& was a book of total LIES---FACT---so how about rendering HONOR to whom HONOR is DUE.??.?? AND how about lovingly & tenderly remembering those great AMERICANS who willingly shed their BLOOD, for YOU and ME??.?? YOU & I breathe FREE air because of their sacrifice.................... Â :thumb: Â You got that right! As a public school teacher by trade, I know what you mean. I can't pick the curriculum, sad to say...but I can tell you that it's so awesome that people see the public schools for what they are...liberal social indoctrination . I've read your posts and when you're not real mad at the world, you're a brilliant and talented writer. You express yourself very well - very articulate. People with exceptional talent are known to wrestle  with  depression. Social skills are often a challenge to them, too. You  remind me  of the lead in "A Beautiful Mind". This man is  brilliant and an amazing talent but  struggles in his relationships with people. In addition, he also has  trouble with separating reality from fiction.  The film  is aptly titled, "Beautiful Mind" because he truly has a beautiful mind and a remarkable talent.  Perhaps, dear little brother...that may be part of your problem You seem quite intelligent but haven't yet reached your prime.  The journey  is difficult and sometimes you just need support from you Christian family. That's us, BTW. The very fact that you could "see through" the propaganda of the public school system shows that you are less a follower. You seem more apt to "think" for yourself rather than to follow blindly. That's good but just remember that to follow Christ may seem as if we're blind but in fact, we are not. For He is omniscient and suited to lead, whereas man is limited.  Good post, Apoc... :thumb:
