Just wondering.

Hi Josh, You need to get baptized, yes....it's an act of obedience towards God....but baptism does NOT save you....Christ's atonement on the cross is sufficient for your salvation.....yes, do go get baptized....I can't stress that enough, but if you don't ? No, you won't go to hell....that would negate salvation by grace.....salvation is FREE, not earned. The moment you accept Jesus, you are saved. Understand, you get baptized because you are saved, not to get saved... God bless, Bob

Are we to obey God's commands? Of course! The question then becomes how? Are we to do it directly? Or are to do it by having faith? Romans 9 30 What then shall we say? That the Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have obtained it, a righteousness that is by faith; 31 but Israel, who pursued a law of righteousness, has not attained it. 32 Why not? Because they pursued it not by faith but as if it were by works. They stumbled over the "stumbling stone." 33 As it is written: "See, I lay in Zion a stone that causes men to stumble and a rock that makes them fall, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame." "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christian and you will be saved" it doesn't say get baptised. "If you confess with you mouth and believe in your heart Jesus is Lord you will be saved" there it doesn't again says Believe in your heart and be baptized and you will be saved, all it says it to confess with you mouth and believe in your heart to be saved.
