I'm sure you don't feel as if you have gained anything right now, but whenever we turn away from sin we have taken a step toward Jesus. Here is a small illustration. I have a weight problem and when I diet I have to set my mind on not eating Snickers and potato chips. The first week after I give them up is awful - my mind is continually on how much I have given up. Well, after a while I don't have those cravings any more. I eat healthier and I feel better. That is what you need to understand. Replace that old urge to sin with God's word - feast on it! Pretty soon you will crave only what is good for you. You also might consider putting on some Christian worship music rather than the Blues. <>< ><> Nathele

Condemnation to the saved and forgiven is not of God. 1 John 4:4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
