Guest
For those who use the Firefox browser and the Xmarks sync extension. The Xmarks folks are shutting down Janruary 10, 2011, therefore you are going to need another way to sync browsers between devices. You can read about it here: Lifehacker Article From Xmarks Site Note: Firefox is not going away! Only the Xmarks extension . . .

Guest
Folks, Xmarks is a Firefox browser extension for keeping bookmarks, passwords, etc. synchronized between two or more different computers, say an office machine and your laptop or smart phone. (Also comes in handy for just backing them up.) More info on the second link in my OP. If you have Xmarks loaded, you'll know it -- it will be listed in the Tools > Addons menu. If you don't use Firefox, you don't have to worry. I posted this for anyone who hasn't heard about the service going away.

Very sad to see it go , as I loved having all my bookmarks synced across all my computers. I never started using the password sync feature because I have something else that does that. I got a message from Xmarks warning me of what was coming & offering a list of other options. It's a real shame that they have to shut down. Hopefully the replacement option I chose will perform as well as Xmarks always has.

What are you using for password sync, if you don't mind my asking? I'm going to miss Xmarks' ability to do the bookmarks, passwords, and my NoScript (another extension) settings.
