I beg to differ.

I strongly disagree about your concept on US forces doing the 'heavy lifting' I was a British soldier, and so first hand experience I can assure you that America has it rather easy in most parts.

Sorry, Scorporium, the way this was quoted threw me! So you're British? I have nothing but respect for the British military but I don't understand what you mean that Americans 'have it rather easy' in most parts. Care to elaborate? I've never been in a war zone so I'd like to know.

That's not a problem, it threw me myself, Im not sure what happened ha

Anywway, I'm referring only to Helmand province in Afghanistan since this was my place of personel experience.

I think I came across rather arrogant so for that I apologise.

Anyway, onward.

Helmand province is the deadliest and most dangerous part of Afghanistan, and when I said the Americans had it easy I was referring to the fact that the UK said they would handle the bulk of issues there since no country or force would step forward.

Believe me. That place is the bloodiest of blood baths.

Okay, I see what you mean. We hear about Helmand province pretty regularly and, yes, it's said to be the absolute worst place to be. How long did you serve over there?

Same as our troops. And many of them are sent four or five times. I think it's time to pull ALL western troops out of that country. They hate us, all of us, and they will never be a cohesive nation, IMO. It's going on ten years, for Pete's sake.

I guess I'm left scratching my head wondering what our clear defined mission is, what our end strategy is, and why on earth were listening to the Muslim Brotherhood when it comes to Foreign Policy.:39:

Yeah unfortunatley for me I was medically discharged before my second tour as we have 6 months in and 1 year out. However I don't hate them but they do hate us.

We should absolutley not be there though :) fully agreed.
