I know that it is easy to take the Bible and quote it out of context and each person is able to do that. One thought that came to me is that I certainly wouldn't want to meet up with God without grace and mercy. I remember a teaching I heard once about the Mercy Seat on the Ark. That the Ark contained the law, but God met with the people at the Mercy seat. One time, when the ark was stolen and then returned to Israel, the people removed the Mercy seat to check if the law was still inside. They did not survive the encounter with the law.
