Guest Butero
The sad thing is, things have gotten so bad, the story doesn't even shock me. Isn't that the truth, it is pretty bad when this world is such a sad shape, that things like this don't shock us anymore. Does this mean we are just giving up on the state of the ways things are in this world? I don't see things getting any better while we still have a Democrat for a President. A new President should be able to undo this with an executive order. We won't see a permanent fix till the millenial reign of Christ begins. I know of a young man who went into the service in order to become a chaplain and has completed his trainings, he says yes they must do as commanded and being in the service as a chaplain doesn't give them their personal freedoms of opinion or choices to go against them own moral ethics. This young man is now in the process of leaving the military because of these very situation. Honestly though all I have to go by on this is this young mans point of view and really wonder what would happen to one if they refused to perform these wedding. He would be charged with disobeying an order, as any other serviceman would be. When you join the service, you belong to them and are require to obey direct orders, no matter what your personal morals or faith tells you. He could protest, but he would more then likely loose in the long run. You are allowed to disobey a direct order, if you think it is an unlawful order, but you better be darn sure it is unlawful or you might find yourself behind the bars, looking out. Chaplins do not have to act against their faith. They must do as commanded as pertaining to the mission. Marrying people of the same sex is not mission essential. Ruck is correct.
