That is a WONDERFUL proof that the event actually occured, for unless it really happened the Talmud would NEVER mention such a powerful evidence for Chrsitianity! Really?! What does the Talmud have to say about it?

Remember His words to the thief, " today you will be with me in Paradise", something was changing. After Christs death He wen to hell for 3 days, and there He preached the gospel to those who where asleep. So one can assume that these where those who accepted the gospel and where raised up into the resurrection life , then to heaven. Could not have happened before that day. I guess it also throws a spanner in the works about accepting Christ before one dies ??? In His Love

What does the Talmud have to say about it? The Talmud speaks of the patriarchs being resurrected or why they must be. The ancient rabbis knew that the land had been promised to the patriarchs and their descendants and since they didn't make it into the land they would have to be resurrected in order for Gods words to be true. Here's a bit of the way the rabbis see it. But as you might notice theres no one there but the Jewish folk since the Jews do not see anyone under Gods covenant but them, they do believe they are the only ones given these promises. shalom, Mizz
