i need to scare my grandson. there have been a couple of times in recent months were he has started fires in his home... in boxes, in trashcans. usually when mama is sleeping. fortunately nothing has happened yet. he's here visiting with me, and leaves tonight... but this morning he found a lighter and was melting the fur on his stuffed animal.

i am having trouble finding a good, suitable video that can show young children (he's 6) how quickly fireplay can get out of control. can someone help me please? he leaves tonight, and i won't see him again til next summer.

Down in the bottom right, in red rectangle "What is a Real Fire Like?"

It is a staged living room fire. The living room goes completely up in flames in less than 3 minutes.

You might mention to him what would happen if someone was sound asleep on that same sofa...

The link also has a general English home fire safety PDF as well on the page.

Grandson was in our prayers today.

You could also have your daughter take him to the fire station. When my nephews started their apt on fire while mom and dad slept thats the advice they got. Sadly my sis in law didnt follow through with that until they started another fire in another apt. Then they took the boys there and it scared the living daylights out of them. The were about 6 and 8 then and both boys remember that very well. This is something that needs to be addressed now rather than later especially considering his age.

shalom,

Mizz
