Do you ever stop to think about what your thinking about??? Ever listen to how you talk to yourself or how you talk to others?? What are the words you're using?

The words we speak and the thoughts we think play such a huge role in our lives..As it says in the bible "as a man thinketh so is he", you reap what you sow" etc, etc...

We can so easily talk ourselves into a bad mood and just as easily talk ourselves out of it. It just takes a lil bit of effort to think about what your thinking about. We don't have to agree with every thought that falls into our head.. Nor do we need to keep speaking every word we "feel" should be said.

How do we really expect God to work in our lives when we are constantly blocking that by the words we speak. Sure God is all powerful and can do anything He wants at anytime. But it takes effort on our part. The negative words we use build up like a clogged drain.. After a while the water can't get through. In order for God to work we have to unplug that drain clean out all the stuff that's preventing it to flow. God works to you and through you.. No seed can grow without proper drainage. it will kill it. Pretty much the same with negative words and thoughts .. it kills your spirit.. there's nothing there to help it go through.

You need to believe in order to receive and what you think and speak you get in your life.. The law of attraction.. Granted this isn't an easy thing to do .. sure we all go through rough patches and find ourselves living the same thing over and over again.. But the key here is to change your perception.. change the way you are thinking about it.. There's always a treasure in every trial.. Just got to look for it.

When do we stop using words that hurt ourselves and hurt each other.. when do we leave the acting for the actors and start being real. This life isn't a dress rehearsal.. and our tomorrow's are not promised.. Treat those as you would want to be treated, be more kind to yourself and to those who God brings in your path.

Stop allowing your thoughts to control you and start controlling them.. you do have that power. You don't have to go with every "feeling" you "feel".. Think of Jesus and how He was.. Ask Him to help you in your thinking.. but take responsibility for it as well. You're not a puppet and God didn't create robots..

He gave us a power that if only we would learn to tap into it more..How much more at peace we would be in our lives.. and that peace could transfer to others.

Our thoughts become words, words become action and action creates our character...

Great post Lisa. I was just reading a great book on how what we utter can be a destructive force to our lives. The Bible says in Proverbs 18:21 that death and life are in the power of the tongue. We shape our own lives by what we speak. Here is a great quote from a book entitled "Poison" written by Dag Heward-Mills. " God made us in his own image. And when God was in the process of creating the earth, He spoke with his mouth. He said "Let there be"... and it was. These were creative words. They were spoken out of faith. These words created the world and brought life into being. It can be argued that if human beings were made in God's image, then He has also made it possible that His image will possess this creative power. We should not forget that He did not put this creative power in our feet, hands, heart or kidney. The creative power lies in our tongue. Whoever you are, whatever you do, your language must not be poisonous." Check out www.daghewardmills if you wish to purchase a copy. Its a fantastic read.
