And at the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him. NIV The way Daniel 9:27 reads is as if there are two different individuals. But Paul clarifies that the AofD “sets himself up” in God’s temple. 2 Thessalonians 2:4 He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God. But in fact the Bible teaches he will be a false Christ as you pointed out Paul teaching. I often wondered how Revelation can have all these trials happening to people and yet they don't repent. The answer seems implied if there's this "Christ" telling people he's the truth and will likely look at God's punishments (and eventual return) as punishments and invasions from the devil to try to overthrow this beast that the world perceives to be Christ. That's my two cents whether or not it's true. The Jews now have temple blueprints and all the implements and garments made up. Just just need their "lucky break" and they will be building. But I also found subtle hints that God gave that this is a man-made project: The unit of measure they use is the 18" cubit. That's the cubit of a man. The sacred one is 25" (25.0265" to be exact). I jested already that with the ratio of 18/25 that this means there's only a little more than a third of the mass (sacred metals) used to make everything so that makes something that should weigh 100 pounds only about 37 so things will be easier to carry.
