I didn't realize off hand how many other people seemed to be privately PMing me or publically posting and saying they'd been through similar experiences or felt similar pain....

This concerns the holidays....a time when we should ALL be joyful and celebrate Jesus.

It's head knowledge. I know I "should" be happy because we celebrate a wondrous time of our Savior's birth.

Yet, ironically...this is a time when I experienced some horrible experiences, including tragic and untimely deaths in the family and other horrible experiences that I haven't been able to just "forget".

I have been so blessed by the loving support and prayers of others but I have found that we, in numbers, can support each other.

I wonder if other people don't also experience a sense of fear, dread or disdain for the holiday season...whether it's the commercialism, a horrible memory from the past or some other cause.

I hope we can just join in prayer together so we can give support and love to each of those who need it the most during this season.

Thanks again for all the love and support you all have given so freely.

Wow! I guess I did not scroll down far enough when I made my post on about the same topic.

I have had similar expericences during the holiday season. 2 years in a row at Christmas time one of my grandfathers had passed on. Because they lived so far away there was nothing I could do and I got angry and upset at God. However, God somehow got me through these difficult times but it still makes the holiday sad sometimes because my loved ones have moved on.

I wish there were some kind of support group that we could share with each other as to encourage each other through the holiday season. PMing each other with prayers of comfort is another good thing to do I never thought about that before. But i wish i could find a group a friends to chat with live about how feel so I to can get through the holiday season when things seem to be going bad.

Thanks

ray

I do not like how the world has made Christmas into a money maker and materialistic time. It should be celebrated for the true meaning which is the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ my best friend. I think why ppl have so many problems around Christmas is because the amoral society that we live in and not sharing the true meaning of Christmas.

I hope this is not worded wrong of what I am trying to say.

I sure wish everyone in the world knew about Jesus, the Holy Christ....and our hope of salvation for ever and ever!!!!

I's love to throw a huge feast and invite all of you and fill you full and rejoice with you....

As it is, I cannot.
