I'd say so, but that is my faith.  When asked by a colleague or atheist to prove these things, I cannot point to scientific evidence.  If it is possible at all, I certainly don't have the background or knowledge.  I'd fall into an argument from ignorance pretty quickly.

"When asked by a colleague or atheist to prove these things, I cannot point to scientific evidence."

The first issue "Scientific Evidence" is Non Sequitur.  Why?....

'Scientific Evidence: consists of observations and EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS that serve to support, refute, or modify a scientific hypothesis or theory, when collected and interpreted in accordance with the SCIENTIFIC METHOD.'

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evidence

You can't put past events in the "Scientific Method"; Therefore, No "Scientific Evidence".

Ask them to provide their "Scientific Evidence"?? ....there in the same boat.

"I'd fall into an argument from ignorance pretty quickly."

So do they...but theirs is BLIND IGNORANCE!!  You have Scripture...and "Prophecy", "Historicity", "Specific Complexity", "Irreducible Complexity" and from a "Scientific and Common Sense Standpoint" the BIG Daddy, IMHO...............INFORMATION!!

Evolve this one mutation at a time:

That's the cellular mechanism for skeletal muscle contraction. Sodium ions passing through tubules in each muscle cell, releasing calcium ions, which bind to "little hammers" all throughout the muscle cell binding to sliding filament fibers and pushing them forward. And all of this happening faster than the speed of thought.
