Thank you for sharing OldSchool. Liberation theology...huh. Bad choice for a name. It begs the question: liberation from what?... Orthodox theology? They teach liberation from the oppression of rich white people though socialism. They want the overthrow of capitalism. Social unrest is promoted and Saul Alinsky's rules for radicals. So liberation from orthodox theology is a part of their plan, since they equate it with oppression from the church, if there is such a thing today. It is part of the existing social structure they must overthrow. They are concerned with classes, not individuals. It is salvation of the lower oppressed classes, not salvation of souls. So they often have to convince people of their oppression, whether it be falsely accusing police brutality or it be telling people that they deserve $15.00 and hour for washing dishes. (This is already being paid in Seattle.) Google: Cone's teaching on Black Liberation Theology on Wikipedia as well as Liberation Theology by Ron Rhodes. Cone teaches theology at Harvard.
