Pray tell, do you refer to a Roman Catholic who has read his/her own Bible OR simply one who follows R.C. tenets without question? Thanks.

Greetings Irene,

You may want to visit a Catholic Forum on the web. Just punch that into Google and I'm sure you will come up with dozens. But you can't play with fire and not get burnt.

Blessings,

Dad Ernie

IreneM, you may want to PM someone like JimR-OCDS. This type of dialogue would probably go smoother in PM rather than open forum, as you will inevitably get all kinds of judgemental and inflammatory posts from others.

ok Katholish has agreed to the chat so here are the ground rules for all readers.

you may respond to posts but not with any judgement, condemnation, or long rantings.

this is to be a friendly discussion between us and a place to find a common ground or if not to at least understand one another.............

Let me also say that I was a catholic and left the church for 2 reasons

1. The idea that Mary was without sin

2. Pergatory and all it intells.............

so let this be a Christ centerd discussion and not a debate

let this be a open exchange of beliefs and exchange of what we believe and why.........

OK Katholish lets begin

if you don't mind I will just call you kath it is easy for me to remeber that spelling.

I left the catholic church for the resons stated above but lets start with something less threatening.

As a catholic what do you hold the highest

The Church doctrine the bible or tradition?

When I went I was not allowed to read the bible unless I went the the father and told him what I had read and he would tell me what it meant. I do not know if that is still true or not but at one time it was...

I will not be judgemental in your answers and hopelfully your questions to me will be likewise delt with..........

you may ask me anything anytime !!!!

Hugs to you and your agreement to this

In Christ

Irene

ps

for those reading

Kath is in collage and takeing a full load so this will not a be a fast post and reads it will take time...........
