Not saying it is not in there, but I dont recall ever reading that. I always thought that it was when the false Christ sets himself up in the holy of holies and claims that he is God and demands to be worshipped as such. Look at that temple mount all that stands there is a piece of wall from the old temple and a temple built for a false god and the false religion of Islam. There is no Jewish services anymore. How can a place get any more desolate than that. That temple standing where the old Jewish temple was is an abomination if there ever was one. 24 hours a day a cry goes out from there to a false god. Jesus was clearly talking about the Roman army that burned the temple and Jerusalem to the ground in AD 70. Thus paving the way for the day when the prophet Mohamman would lay claim to the site.
