What then is the explanation then for why rape is such a prevalent part of our society?

Why is it that more than 20% of the women in our country have been raped if it is not a part of our culture?

It's a part of our society, not a part of our culture.   Nothing in American culture is pro-rape.

There is something in our culture that makes it such a prevalent part of our society, otherwise it would not be so.  No, we are not "pro-rape" but we still many times blame the victim or whitewash the severity of the crime.  We turn a blindeye to sexim and sexual harassment which leads to a culture of people thinking that rape is ok, or that what they are doing is not really rape.

Why don't we compare your country to the US instead of Turkey?

You sure you want to do that...Ranked 9th. 4 times more than Philippines

Maybe it should be asked, 'what % of the rapes are done by those 'committed to Allah/Muhammed compared to those committed to Jesus'?

Pretty sure the rape victims don't really care why the person did it

No, "WE" don't.   There may corrupt elements of our society that think rape is okay, but it not our culture that does that.

Yes true point.  Plus some people are just trying cast shadows (no pun intended) by evasive comments that have no bearing in reality being played out . If you really do your homework you realize the OP is describing a very serious problem that is occurring in Europe and it's been going on for awhile and getting worse. The kind of violence that is condoned in cultural islam is of the 7century- barbaric, unmerciful and misogynist.

A very wise man once said first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye.

When we as a nation have a major college using the ability to rape as a recruiting tool, we have no ground to be pointing fingers at anyone.

I can see it now..."yes mamm, we are sorry we let our football players rape you, but hey at least it was in the name of a winning season and not Allah.".  I am sure that will make all the difference to the victim.

I compared those committed to Christ with those committed to Allah. Sorry for your smoke screen.

What difference does it make why one is raping a woman?  Is it somehow better if it is done in the name of winning football as opposed to the name of Allah?

Yes it matters if a high % of rapes correspond to a specific group.  I was comparing two groups and you brought in a 3rd group. You didn't have to respond to my post to make your point.

Do you agree Muslims have a  higher % of rapes than committed Christians or not?

I would assume that is true, but have no figures to support it.

I do not really care what group is doing it or why, rape is rape.

We as a country do have not have any moral high ground for pointing to such things as a problem in other countries.
