Watch out that no poisonous root of bitterness grows up to trouble you, corrupting many.” (Hebrews 12:15 NLT). Bitterness spreads, and is sown from person to person. We should sow love so that world knows we are Jesus’ disicples (John 13:34-35). But the devil is having hay day sowing bitterness in the Church these days, some of it is down by wolves in sheep’s clothing, the rest is from jealousy and envy which are earthly and demonic, “But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast and be false to the truth. 15 This is not the wisdom that comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. 16 For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice.“ (James 3:14-16) and because of past hurts and abuses.
