The Church of Rus, founded in 988 A.D. Comes from the Eastern Orthodox Church in Constantinople, Byzantium, now modern day Istanbul, Turkey. The Russian Church or ROC has had a very bizarre history, from  the Ramnovs and Rasputin to the Bolshevik Revolution to consecrating warheads called Satan I and II with Holy Water, The ROC has definitely equaled the Roman Catholic Church or RCC in the unusual pieties and rites.

One group in the ROC that is curious is the Jesus Fools, “Let no one deceive himself. If any of you thinks he is wise in this age, he should become a fool, so that he may become wise,” (1 Corinthians 3:18), and “We are fools for Christ, but you are so wise in Christ! We are weak, but you are strong! You are honored, we are dishonored!” (1 Corinthians 4:10). Jesus Fools of the ROC are said to have spiritual gifts that can heal the sick, prophecy and caste our demons (1 Corinthians 12:4-11, 1 Corinthians 14:26-40).

Consider this a place to discuss the Russian Orthodox Church.

The Starlets, monks who live in towers, on top of mountains isolated from civilization like Mt. Athos, are an usual form of hermit. They arnt isolated to Russia alone, but Rasputin was one until he went to Moscow and was corrupted.

The Russian Orthodox Church has a very unique style of church dome called the onion dome although it looks more like garlic with supperdandeum or three bar cross on top. Their churches are the most beautiful, especially St. Basil’s which is now part of Kremlin.
